Best Beaches in Greece

Shipwreck Beach, Zante
Tucked away on Zante's north-western coast, this stunning beach is one of the most recognisable across Europe. The only way to reach this picture-perfect cove is via taxi-boats, which leave regularly throughout the day from the neighbouring beach of Porto Vromi. The beach gained its name from a boat transporting illegal cigarettes in 1983, which was swallowed up by the water and shipwrecked. In the years that have passed sands have covered the boat, making this unique beach a must-visit if you’re in Zante.
