Things To Do on Holidays

Aside from a few hotels, restaurants, and tavernas, Psalidi has little more to offer than its beautiful shoreline. But just a short bicycle ride away in the capital, Kos Town, there are more than enough activities to keep even the most restless enthralled.

For you scholarly types, there are a number of museums in Kos Town including the Hippocratic Museum, dedicated to the father of modern medicine, as well as an ancient temple of Apollo nearby. Also of interest are the many castles and ruins you can tour including the Castle of the Knights, which is fronted by the Plane Tree, under which Hippocrates is said to have taught his students.

For the more adventurous souls, Psalidi offers a plethora of watersports that one can enjoy with the entire family including scuba diving, windsurfing, and even a local water park in nearby Kos Town. Or, if the beach isn’t your style, the hotels in Kos offer luxurious swimming pools, many complete with swim-up style bars. You can even hire a bicycle for the day, and explore much of the island at your own leisurely pace.

Things to do: Culture

As close as it is to the bustling atmosphere of Kos Town, Psalidi is anything stressful! Offering a lovely view of the distant Turkish coast, the atmosphere here in Psalidi is one of utter relaxation, and the people of Psalidi reflect that atmosphere perfectly. Mostly comprised of luxury hotels and a gorgeous expanse of sandy shore, Psalidi is the perfect place for a quiet getaway.

Things to do: Nightlife

There are a few taverns and restaurants in Psalidi where one can enjoy a quiet drink after a long day of relaxation by the shore, but the real party is just a kilometre away in Kardamena. Landscape

Psalidi is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Relatively sparse of visitors, you can relax on the beach without the fear of feeling crowded. Kos is one of the Dodecanese Islands in Greece, and is part of a long mountain chain, broken apart by the waters of the Carpathian Sea. Offering vast expanses of sandy shores, the crystal blue waters are inviting to all.
