Getting to Belfast International Airport

Belfast International is about 18 miles northwest of the city centre, roughly 30 minutes by car via the M2. The Airport Express 300 bus runs regularly from Great Victoria Street Bus Centre (Europa Buscentre) and takes around 40 minutes, which is the easiest option if you're not driving. If you are driving, there are over 8,000 parking spaces right outside the terminal, and you can pre-book parking to lock in the best rate. A few airport hotels are dotted around the perimeter too, handy if you've got an early departure.

Airport facilities

Belfast International has had a proper refresh in recent years, including a new Aelia Duty Free store and an expanded food and drink offering airside. Fed and Watered does sit-down meals, Coco Diablo covers coffee and lighter bites, and Burger King and Starbucks are there for the quick grab-and-go. The duty-free is worth a look for fragrances, spirits, and travel bits. The Aspire Lounge offers complimentary drinks, snacks, and a quieter space before boarding, and you can pre-book lounge access or fast track security through us. Currency exchange is handled by The Change Group, with desks before security and in arrivals.

Can I get cheap holidays from Belfast?

Yes, and Belfast International is well set up for it. Having easyJet, Jet2, Ryanair, and TUI all competing on the same routes means fares stay sharp. Can I get all-inclusive holidays from Belfast?

Absolutely. Turkey is the standout for all-inclusive value from Belfast, with Jet2 and easyJet both flying to Antalya and Dalaman where the resort all-inclusive packages are excellent. The Canary Islands and Balearics have plenty of all-inclusive options too, and the new TUI route to Cancun opens up Caribbean all-inclusive from Belfast for the first time.

George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD) is much smaller and closer to the city centre (3 miles), but mainly serves domestic routes and a handful of European connections. For beach holidays, Belfast International is almost always the one you want.

Are there long-haul holidays from Belfast?

Yes, and this is new for 2026. TUI have launched direct flights from Belfast International to Cancun for the first time, plus a new route to the Dominican Republic. Both are seasonal summer services.
