Popular all-inclusive hotels in the Dominican Republic

All-inclusive is a proper popular board type and when it's combined with some of the Caribbean good life in the Dominican Republic, then it gets even better. Think endless tropical cocktails, beaches that'll leave you wanting to frame some of the sand and put it on your mantlepiece and hotels that'll have you longing to return. Whether you're after some budget-friendly spots or you're going the full monty with a bit of luxury on your holiday then this destination is right up your street, that's for sure.

Family-friendly all-inclusive hotels in the Dominican Republic

Don't be fooled, the Dominican Republic is ideal to bring the little cherubs along, even for some last minute fun. It's stacked full of hotels that have amazing things to do, with watersports and regular entertainment. Throw in all the great kids' clubs and the beaches that are spot-on for burying dad neck-deep in the sand and you've got a pretty amazing place for a proper good memory-making family holibob.

All Inclusive holidays for couples in the Dominican Republic

We can't think of many places better suited for a bit of the ol' romance than the Dominican Republic. The sunsets are well good, so you can stroll hand in hand down the beach whilst staring at them. Or you can sit back, relax in the sunshine and pester your other half to go grab another cocktail for the two of you from the bar. Whatever your style, a laidback holibob just the two of you sounds a whole load of lovely, that's for sure.

✨ Luxury All Inclusive Resorts in the Dominican Republic

When you're after the absolute best of the best, these luxurious all inclusive Dominican Republic resorts will proper spoil you rotten. We're talking about stunning beachfront properties with butler service, infinity pools that blend into the Caribbean horizon, and gourmet restaurants that'll make you never want to eat anywhere else. Think premium spirits flowing freely, world-class spas where you can get pampered all day, private beach areas with cabanas, and suites so gorgeous you might not want to leave them.

Where to stay in the Dominican Republic

Now, when it comes to picking where to stay, you've got some fantastic options, but these four resort areas are the absolute cream of the crop, each with their own personality.

Punta Cana is basically the poster child of Dominican holidays - and for good reason! It's where you'll find those postcard-perfect white sand beaches stretching for miles, plus it's got the biggest selection of all-inclusive resorts you can imagine. Perfect if you're a first-timer to the DR or fancy having everything on your doorstep. The nightlife's buzzing, there's loads of restaurants and bars, and getting around is dead easy. Families love it because there's tonnes to do, couples adore the romantic resort options, and party-goers? Well, let's just say you won't be short of a good time!

Bavaro is Punta Cana's slightly more chilled cousin - literally next door but with a more relaxed, local feel. The beaches are just as stunning but less crowded, and you'll get a bit more authentic Dominican culture mixed in with your holiday. It's brilliant for families who want the convenience of Punta Cana but prefer things a bit quieter, or couples looking for romance without the full-on party atmosphere.

Uvero Alto is your hidden gem - the quiet achiever up the coast. Think pristine, less developed beaches where you can actually find a peaceful spot to yourself! It's perfect for couples wanting proper tranquility, older travelers who prefer a more sophisticated vibe, or anyone who wants luxury without the crowds. The resorts here tend to be more upmarket and intimate.

Bayahibe is completely different from the others - it's on the south coast and feels like a proper fishing village that happens to have incredible beaches. The water's calmer (Caribbean Sea rather than Atlantic), making it fantastic for families with little ones. Plus, you're right next to Saona Island for day trips, and there's brilliant diving and snorkeling. It's perfect if you want authentic Dominican life mixed with your beach time, or if you're the adventurous type who loves exploring beyond the resort.

So basically: Punta Cana for first-timers and party-lovers, Bavaro for relaxed families, Uvero Alto for luxury-seekers and quiet couples, and Bayahibe for culture vultures and water sports enthusiasts!

FAQs

Is an All Inclusive holiday worth it?

In a word: YES. If you like to stay on site and fill your boots with drinks and grub at the hotel, then it's totally worth it. You can take full advantage of the buffet, plus snacks in between to really save the pennies. Some hotels even include unlimited ice cream for the kids (and you, let's be honest). Plus, you get a whole bunch of activities to try included in the price too. Join in with the aqua aerobics, challenge your mates to a game of beach volleyball or send the kids to an action-packed kids' club - and if that's not worth it, we don't know what is.

What is an All Inclusive holiday?

It's exactly what it sounds like: a holiday where everything's included. Your food, your drinks, your entertainment - all in the total price when you book. Pretty great, right?

What is the rainiest month in the Dominican?

The rainiest month tends to be November, with temperatures still remaining high. The best time to visit to get minimal rainfall and some scorchin' hot sunshine is between December and May.

How much is a Coke in the Dominican Republic?

A bottle of Coca-Cola will cost around 50p in the Dominican Republic, but there's no need to worry because when you go all-inclusive, you can grab one from the bar without paying a penny. Happy days? Happy days, indeed.
