Thinking about your 2019 travel goals? We recently ran a survey asking 1,000 Britons about the New Year and what their holiday plans and aspirations were. Finding that 24% of you want to spend more time with your family and take more holidays abroad in 2019, we thought we’d help you out with where to go. So, we’ve collected data around the most important aspects of your holiday criteria, including average temperature, average sea temperature, amount of water/amusement parks in the area and flight duration. With this, we present to you our Family Beach Index – a ranking of the top family-friendly destinations.

The wonderful Meditteranean archipelago of Malta lies in seventh place, offering warmth both on land and in the water with the average sea and air temperatures being 24°C. The islands may only feature 4 family-friendly water/amusement parks, but in proportion to the size of land, it’s still a pretty impressive number. Due to its location between North Africa and Italy, the flight score is in the lower end, with an average flight time of 3 hours and 25 minutes.
The Balearic island famous for its stunning white beaches and blue waters, Majorca is up next.
