Really great hotel, exceeded all our expectancies... We enjoyed really clean beach and Tangerine Beach Bar, sea water swimming pool, Waterpark, Maxxiland, Maxx train for kids, Azure 24 restaurant for breakfast, Sushi "fast" bar, great asian fusion restaurant (take a reservation at least 2 days before)... The staff was great, from guys in the restaurants, reception to gorgeous animators in Maxxiland. If it would be possible definitely coming back again.

We have been to Maxx Royal two times now and it is ever so fantastic as everyone says here. I won't spend my words describing how fantastic the hotel is but will instead give you some practical information. We are a family of four, two children 8 and 11, Transfer We used Suntransfer both times. The driver meets you at the airport with a sign and you are escorted to a minivan. The trip to the hotel is about 45 min. Cost return for the transfer with Suntransfer was around 60 euros for 4 persons. Don't miss out on the VIP service at the airport that departing guests of Maxx Royal are entitled to. You need to book this 24 hour in advance. You go to your departure terminal (international only if I understand it correctly) and there is a Maxx Royal desk. We had some difficulties finding it and had to make a call and someone came and met us, Please make sure to ask the reception at the hotel exactly how to meet up with the airport staff. The staff then helped us through all security checks and through check in, We passed all lines and were escorted to a small lounge where we could wait for our flight. This lounge is nothing special so if you have access to other lounges you may want to skip the Maxx Royal Lounge. Rooms We have opted for a land view suite both times. This is good value for money. This is the cheapest room type but the suite is 80 m2 and four people have plenty of room. Do note that if you are four staying in the room, one of you will have to sleep on a sofa which is not full size and not as comfortable as a bed, If you are lucky and get a room on the north end of the bulding you can have a limited side sea view. We have both years been able to get very good deals by booking about 4 weeks in advance via a site called otels.com. Food Food is a very important part of the Maxx Royal experience. This year there are four (or maybe five) a la carte returants available in the evening. Most of them are free of charge but you need to make a reservation. I don't remember the names of the restaurants but the themes are Asian, Mexican, Fish and Meat. We only tried the Mexican and the Asian. They were both good. The a la cartes are real restaurants like you would experience in any major city. There is a buffe resturant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is of high quality. There is an a la carte restaurant open 24 hours where reservation is not required and there is no cover charge. They serve pizza, pasta, meat, fish. Something for everyone. For lunch there are three a la carte restaurants that do not require reservation. Two are located at the pool area in front of the hotel and one is located at the aquapark. They all have different themes and menus so you should try them all. VItamin Bar Serves fresh juices of all varities, We had carrot juice, pineapple juice, apple juice, grapefruit juice. All fresh. Being a vegetarian at Maxx Royal Unfortunately means a lot of pizza, pasta and salad. At the a la cartes they can prepare vegetarian menus if alerted in advance but it is much up to the guest to make suggestions. This is an area that should be improved by the hotel considering the number of vegetarians in the general population. Vegetarian food should not be a special meal but should be a standard option on the menu. At the buffet restaurant you basically have a choice of salad or pasta as a vegetarian. The chefs would probably prepare a special meal if you ask, but should you really have to ask?? Pools and water park Plenty for everyone's taste. If your children are under ten they will not be able to go on the water slides unaccompanied unless they are tall for their age. Service The service is excellent. A bit disappointing however that the hotel did not notice in anyway that we were returning guest. We would particularly like to mention the excellent service from Tunakan at the Aqualounge, Ali at the lounge bar, Mustfa at hte Asian Azur, and Ilkan at the buffe resturant who served us breakfast ever day. Next year we will probably try Maxx Royal in Kemer that is supposed to be even more spectacular.

The hotel is very nice by all means and one of the few places we have in our minds to return to. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. The facility is nice. Lots of things to do with kids. All that stuff is good for a wonderful vacation, especially with the kids. Here are some tips for those that will travel with kids: ROOM: although the sea room views were good, this was our biggest and the only slight problem we at this wonderful hotel. Once a week, there is a beach party on the hotel next to this one and until midnight, you end up having a disco in your room if you happen to be in the room that night. To avoid this, you should ask for a golf-course view room. They are in the inside part and hence even cheaper and much more silent. The noise ends at midnight, so it is not all night long, but if you have a baby that goes to sleep around 2130, then you will have issues. This type of an issue is common in many hotels but I would have expected it to be resolved in this one, but was not resolved entirely, but it is not a huge deal but one thing to consider if you will need to sleep before midnight on that specific day. Besides, some nights there is even some noise from the hotel itself. so if you want to have a silent room even before midnight, you need to have one of those non-sea view rooms telling the hotel that you want a silent room. To give credit to the hotel, when I complained about this, they immediately offered a silent room to us in another place of the hotel, but we thought it would be hard to move the room and etc. so we stayed in our room. The KIDS FACILITIES: This is one of the best in Turkey in terms of kids facilities. even had there been no pools and sea, the kids can be kept busy for days. There are the kids cinemas, open door and close door amusement parks (lunaparks and the like), a dinosaur park, a train that goes around the hotel, wonderful staff, lots of parks, kids pools, even a heated sea-water pool (which was important for us as we believe sea waterpools are healthier for the kids and specifically prefer those), Kids food and Kids activities and manyother things for the kids. so this is a good hotel to visit with family. BUFFET: Here is a crucial tip: breakfast and lunches are OK. to eat anywhere you wish. But for dinners, the Buffet came as a slight disappointment to us (as we were expecting the best of the best buffet perhaps). However, there is a solution to this: book for the a'la carte restaurants (they are also within the all-inclusive package you are paying so no extra fees for you) and they are really delicious. The fish we had at the fish restaurant was nice, the meat we had at the steakhouse was exceptionally nice and perfect. the a'la cartes we visitied were all within the all inclusive concept so no extra fees. Try the buffet one night and go for the a'la cartes in the other nights. SEA/BEACH: Fine. However, remember, this is the Mediterranean open sea, so this wont be the small turquoise water bay you will have in Fethiye or elsewhere. This is a good, clean Mediterranean open sea and a wonderful beach and good facilities to enjoy your beach stay. POOLS/AQUPARK: All wonderful. Also congrats for having a seawater pool. BARS/SHOWS: Good. Final words: this is a good hotel but it is pretty expensive. for instance, last year same time we were at Hilton Sarıgerme and we paid almost half the money to Hilton Sarıgerme and were also satisfied with the service there, despite paying almost half of the price we had paid this hotel. However, in this hotel, everything is in very very luxury and top standards so if you wont be that concerned with the amount you are paying to this hotel, this is the place for you as it is one tick higher than the rest of its type (but that one tick higher comes with a considerable increase in price, but you do feel that higher tick when you are here). IN SHORT: I DO RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, WITHOUT ANY HESITATIONS OTHER THAN THE SLIGHT ISSUES MENTIONED ABOVE.

Temperatures here veer from astronomical summer highs of over 30° Celsius to winter lows in the 8° Celsius to 15° Celsius region. The best seasons to visit are spring, summer or early autumn, as temperatures are favourable even into early October. The heat is however tempered by sultry Mediterranean breezes; relaxing by the beach is a must!
