Paraiso del sol is a very basic low budget apart hotel ,the food is good as we went half board .The rooms are very basic with the kitchen unfit or use and the bathroom similar so we didn't even use the kitchen for storage and the bathroom we had to just make do with.We asked for a change of room when we arrived and I noticed most people did the same but was told all rooms are the same.Pool area is ok and restaurant area is ok.Wifi in reception is ok most of the time. Its in a good location for the beach and veronicas strip. The girls in the restaurant and pool bar are very friendly and helpful as are the males working reception but I found the females on reception rude and not friendly.I also found the manager rude and not friendly and on two occasions having a shouting argument with other hotel customers who complained to him so I decided any complaints I had would be better off said on tripadvisor. The cleaning in the apartments was very bad layers of dust where present when we arrived and where only cleaned by my wife when she asked a cleaner for a brush, the cleaners basically just leave clean towels and loo rolls and change sheets every 4 or 5 days but no cleaning to talk about. The apartments are infested with insects I mean thousands of them everywhere even coming out of the beds and also we had 4 cockroaches in two weeks.Overall if you understand that the living accomadation is poor and you pay low prices for this hotel maybe its worth a look but I knew after a couple of days that I would not come back and my view hasn't changed.

We stayed last May, we loved it, rooms are basic but it bang in the central of playa las Americas right by Veronica's! We stayed for 5 days, the pool is great always enough loungers, we are young so wanted a good time & it accommodated & was really cheap! We loved it was just what we needed so went back in the July & did not have the same experience! We got to the desk & the woman was full on shouting at a German woman, we waited for all this to finish & then when she finally seen us she wanted out travel voucher for the stay, we didn't know what this was & showed her out print off from on the beach she roared at us asking for the voucher. We then requested to speak to the manager I was not impressed at all that we had only just visited & came back due to a great experience to be then greeted in this manner! Why do we need a travel voucher? You can see the booking on our print & out & our booking reference terrible start to the holiday in the warm heat arguing in reception especially after we had stayed 2 months before. The manager took our print out & took us to our room. We are in our late 20s & staying in playa las Americas you expect people to want to go out clubbing. We were playing drinking games on our balcony at 10pm & laughing & joking & got a phone call to be quiet, we quietened down to get a knock on our door saying we were being too loud, we were hardly talking. Why would you put the young friends above a family? Ridiculous! So all week we got moaned at for being loud when we weren't even being loud! Completely different stay To the first time! I suggest you work your rooms out & put the family's in one side & the young ppl in another in the next street to Veronica's ppl should expect it to be lively!

The apartments are a two minute walk to the beach and bars. Rooms were basic but are kettle and toaster cut out the electricity. If a drink or food was left open ants were everywhere which was annoying. Beds were comfy. There is a restaurant and a bar by the pool. There is 24 hour security. It is a two minute walk to Siam park which was amazing

Myself & my partner both in our late 20's stayed here the 1st week in July, it was a last minute booking and after reading the reviews was a bit worried but honestly don't let people put u off!!! If ur looking 4 a basic central location...I would recommend it. We arrived late on Friday night, only complaint I would have was of the very rude young blonde girl at reception who has no customer service at all! She took our passports from us & told us we would get them in a few days & when I asked why she just said "because" and walked away. Now if u don't know the apts it can b a bit of a maze especially at night & after travelling, she gave us a card with a room number & told us "by the pool" again just walking away so we took a bit of time but finally found it! The apps are a bit dated (apart from reception area) but clean with all the essentials, there cleaned regular and the pool area is the same. They have a lifeguard who is there daily, cleaning up & making sure everything is ok. Free sun loungers, a small baby pool & adult pool both heated. There is free wifi at the reception lounge & at night the gate is locked at 11pm onwards so they have some security & the man on most nights is lovely!! Always happy 2 help. There is a cash machine right outside the reception & if u turn left about a 5 min walk will get you 2 the beach and another 5 mins your right in the main heart of the party at Veronica's. Ideal location! The only thing that did put me off is the hotel seems to be catered for a lot of Dutch/German. Very few British about. There is no entertainment but u wouldn't need it as its on ur doorstep. I think 4 a couple/ group of friends this would be an ideal relaxing choice but I wouldn't come with young children, there's more hotels close by that seem more family orientated. We came self catering so can't comment on the food, you can get a large sort drink 4 €2 & I think most things are resonably priced. If u want 5* luxury then pay the price, this is basic but clean & i would stay again.
