- Troya Beach - The most popular and buzzy beach in the resort, with lots of bars and water sports fun. You’ll find sunbeds on the sandy parts and crystal-clear water for swimming elsewhere.
- Playa del Camison - A family favourite for sunbathing and safe playing in the sea.
- Playa Honda - Enjoy the views of crashing waves or hop on a board yourself at this surfers' paradise.
- Playa de las Vistas - The ‘Beach of Views’ really is a beautiful place to take pics or swim, with good disabled access.
- Playa de Los Morteras - If you walk on the wild side, seek out this secluded natural haven where you can enjoy the peace or mingle with local hippies.

- Semana Santa (Good Friday) - Hundreds of religious locals take part in a lively street theatre performance in Adeje.
- Carnival Fiestas (February/March) - The biggest event on the calendar, with huge parties full of colour and music across the island. Head to Santa Cruz for the most outrageous fiesta that rivals Brazil.

- Romería de San Miguel (September) - Romerías are Tenerife’s answer to harvest festivals, and they take place throughout the year. This is the closest one to the resort, in the pretty town of San Miguel de Abona.
- Fiestas de Patronales in Adeje (October) - All the big fiesta hits with traditional music, dance, and beauty queen contests.
- Adeje Gastronomy Week (November) - A celebration of all things yummy, with tapas trails and cooking workshops for all ages.
- New Year’s Eve (December) - Parties, fireworks, and fancy dinners mark the end of the year with style in La Caleta.

Things to do in Playa de las Americas
Sail the seven seas
There are ways to get out on the water that suit everyone, from family-friendly whale watching on the Peter Pan pirate ship to the wild Utopia boat parties with an open bar. For loved-up couples, we suggest a private yacht trip with Blue Jack Sail.
Make a scene
You can get glam photos even on cheap holidays to Playa de las Americas! Our favourite posing spot is the Light and Music Fountain, where the dancing water and colourful lights are an ideal backdrop for profile pics.
Don’t look down
The Mount Teide volcano is about an hour’s drive from the resort and happens to be the highest point in Spain. The drive there is a winding thrill ride in itself, but you can also take a cable car right to the top and enjoy the views. It’s a popular day out for keen cyclists as well.
Slide like the wind
Siam Park waterpark is one of the highest rated in the world by tourists, so you’ve got to visit on your Playa las Americas holidays. There are adrenaline-pumping rides for the grown-ups, a glass slide through an aquarium, and loads of fun for little ones too.
