Best thing about the hotel is the location. Beautiful view will make your day. 4* is way too much. 2,5 the most. First - we had to change the room as it was extremely loud from nearby clubs. Forget about free earplugs - 3 EUR in the vending machine! Don't mind if you actually come to Tenerife for partying. However, if you come to relax make sure you ask for a room in tower B as there is no noise. Room standard is average or poor as for 4 star. I was charged twice for the room by mistake (fair enough) but we were woken up at midnight! by security asking to come down to the reception to be refunded???!!!!!!!!! We did not open the doors but called the reception and they confirmed it's about the payment. Since when hotel staff is banging the door after midnight asking guests to go down to the reception??? This was unacceptable!!!! We sorted it on the leaving day. We were 'kicked out' from the restaruant when we went for lunch as apparently we could have had only breakfast on the leaving day!(EUR 17 if you want to have lunch on the last day!). Lots of animation which is good, however music was too loud. People relaxing at the swimming pool were turning down the volume as it was too loud! Overall impression was very poor. If you do not ask for anything is fine. Thank God we stayed there only 3 nights. We would not recommend it to anyone. P.S. Iron costs EUR25 per week!!!!!!!!!

Hi we stayed at the hotel sol Tenerife on 26 December 2014 for 7 nights all inclusive the hotel is a good three star and the staff where friendly and helpful.we were a party of 5, two teenagers and a 49 year old up to 73 year years young nana .The food was great we all found something we liked from cooked breakfast the sausage was English lol to fresh omelette and freshly cooked pancakes salad and paella meat and fish lots of puddings on New Years eve the staff greeted and welcomed us to our meal the food was fantastic and bottled beers and bottled wines were available the staff waited on you.I found the entertainment was good and the staff tried really hard to get you involved especially in the day with Zumba and spinning in the pool there were plenty of sun beds more cushions needed . New Years Eve entertainment was excellent all ages and nationalitys were catered for there were a lot of Itallians at the hotel everyone mixed together dancing and singing. Now I will talk about the rooms that's were the problems are concerning the hotel as if your room faces Varonica's strip you will not get any sleep my room looked over the strip which has nice views in the day but boom boom alnight till about 6am the children and my mom had rooms above the restaurant area they slept fine we asked to move and after 3 nights of no sleep we did get to move to a room that we could sleep peacefully in to be fair there is no need for the strip to blast the music that loud for so long we went into the bars one night and their was hardly anyone in it on leaving asked the DJ to turn it down as I was off to bed he just laughed think they enjoy the fact that they annoy the people at the hotel lol . The area has lots of different types of bars and restaurants beach not that good we enjoyed the bar Papagayo the cocktails are great. Overall we all had a great week would go back if could choose a room that could sleep peacefully in .

Had a fantastic time first week of March. Hotel was a short transfer (about 15 mins) and when we arrived it was to a very welcoming check in. They were very friendly and helpful and very professional. The hotel is spotless and you would be very hard pressed to find any litter on the grounds. Maid service is daily and it surprised me that it wasn't a quick clean and move on to the next room. The maids pulled all the furniture out and cleaned all round, fantastic service! The food was first class. I am a very fussy eater and there was plenty to satisfy me. Plenty of meat dishes and veggie dishes. The hot plate cooked your steaks while you waited and there was a good selection of fruit and desserts. I was away over my 50th birthday and was very surprised to return to my room to find the hotel had a lovely bottle of bubbly and 2 glasses left on the table, what a very kind gesture and we very much appreciated it. Make sure to visit the market at Los cristianos. It's on a very steep hill but well worth it if you enjoy haggling with the traders for a bargain. There is a supermarket on site and a beauty salon and hairdressers on the hotel site. The entertainment wasn't brilliant but everyone has different tastes. Plenty to do to entertain yourselves though. The hotel is in a beautiful location right on the beach. Only thing is the bars and clubs of Veronicas strip are very close and there is quite a lot of noise right through the most of the night. After the first night you get used to it, it is certainly not bad enough to put me off returning. As I've already said, we had a great time. Thank-you to the management and staff of Sol Tenerife for a brilliant holiday. Top tip****** along the beach are a few shops offering crazy prices on electronics equipment. DO NOT SHOP with them!! It is a con!! They promise you the earth and you always have to call back. When you do call back it is just to sell you crap products at higher prices. If you think the price is too good to be true, it usually is. Don't get caught out. We saw a lot of people getting stung with this.
There's little rain here except for the odd shower in winter, and it's permanently humid: 17° Celsius on average at New Year compared with temperatures in the late 20s° Celsius by the summer apex. The water temperature is also constantly warm, and fresh Atlantic breezes stave off any oppressive heat.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
