Poor

28 February 2015

Arrived told where room was found it. Didn't like it as was bottom of complex. Room was smokers room we not smokers asked to be moved. No chance. Room poor quality, complex shabby, staff miserable...

Hotel is over-rated definitely not 4 star. we stayed in room 328 with sea view that we paid extra for. The room was a dump. broken furniture, ripped curtain, broken hangers left in cupboard with a door that would not close, dust on shelves and wardrobe in need of refurbishment. when we complained of the condition they sent a cleaner for 5 mins we asked to be moved, but no other room available told new curtains coming tomorrow, never arrived. my advice check your room on arrival.

Ok stay but could do with upgrading

20 February 2015

Me & my wife stayed here 12-19th Feb, stayed on level 4 by pool area, all staff seemed friendly enough, room was ok apart from kitchen unit cupboards falling apart and very poor decor and upkeep of...

H TOP Pineda Palace closed early and we were put into the Amaika in Calella. Have stayed in the sister hotels at this resort which has Good Location for all amenities. Rooms were spacious and cleaned daily, staff friendly. The Hotel was beautiful but the food was disgraceful. Out of the other two H top hotels the Amaika, the food was worst of them all what a let down for a hotel of this standard it has let themselves down so I hope they get their act together and produce the standard what is expected of a 4 *

great stay

11 February 2015

Just returned from blue star apartments in gran canaria in January. Had a lovely room 5the floor with a nice view. The apartments are very basic, in other words you get what you pay for. The kitchen...

We returned to The Pineda Palace in September and found everything to be as good,if not better than we remembered from previous holidays. The staff made us feel very welcome and actually remembered us,which was very impressive. The hotel has a very Spanish feel as the majority of the clientele are from Spain, which is reflected in the cuisine. This is one of the reasons that we keep returning to the Pineda Palace, because you are not surrounded by people who just want to eat 'English style' food and the variety of meals on offer are wonderful. The hotel is ideally placed for the beach and the town, and is suitable for all age groups. The rooms are very well appointed and it is well worth requesting a sea view.

Very clean apartments

3 February 2015

Last time I visited here was 2005 it was a very nice place to stay with beautiful views of the sea. The rooms we had were very good with comfortable beds, a big bathroom and a reasonable sized...

The hotel is nice & clean, room cleaned daily with clean sheets&towels. Staff very friendly. The pool is lovely upon the roof top over looking the sea. The only down side to this hotel was the food there was a lot of chicken & paella. We were all inclusive for 2weeks but only ate there a few times. Overall we meet some lovely people, we would go back to this hotel maybe just B&B. The sauna&jacuzzi was great & free on all inclusive.

In July and August , the thermometer can nudge past 30° Celsius, while even in winter the temperature rarely drops below five; frost and snow are almost unheard of.
