I stayed at the apartments last week with my partner for 10 days in room 309. The apartments are very clean, the cleaners that came in daily were very nice. The air conditioning unit in the living room and bedroom kept dripping reported it to reception and maintenance came about an hour later and fixed it but 2 days later it started again we reported it once again he came back next day and sorted it however a few days later it started again this was very annoying trying to sleep with a constant drip, when we went to reception to report it this time she offered to change our room. However we only had 3 days left so I couldn't be bothered packing everything up to move, I don't know if maintenance came back because it was still dripping so I had to put buckets with towels in so that I could sleep. The pool area was ok but if you don't go at 10am for the gate opening you can not get a bed as they put towels on beds and don't return until 2pm and even 4.30pm even although it clearly stated on the rules board not to do it. We went down for breakfast only to find that the hot breakfast every morning was cold nothing worse than cold bacon and eggs. I asked if we could pay extra to keep our room or get another room the day we were leaving as our pick up time was not until 6.20pm but we were told no as they were full, she told us we could leave our cases at reception, I asked if there would be somewhere that we could shower to freshen up before our flight but she said there was only the public toilets at reception which is not ideal. We were lucky enough that we had met a family and they kindley let us use their room to shower, which we were very thankful for.

I stayed at these apartments last week with mu husband and two children (10 and 2). The apartments were clean and a good size, the cleaners came in once a day to make beds and give fresh towels. The wi-fi signal was awful, barely enough to watch a 30 second you tube video so dont bother taking an apple TV ar anything for the evening when the kids are in bed. The pool was ok, although neither the children's pool or the main pool were suitable for my toddler as they were both too deep and a bit dangerous for her to paddle into (small steps into the pool mean she was knocked over by excited running kids every time she tried to paddle in the shallow parts). The pool was also almost too cold to bear for more than 5 minutes. On to the staff around the pool... the girl who served from the pool bar every day was lovely, she smiled at all the kids, came out from behind the bar to help them choose their ice creams and was generally quite helpful. Her manager however was a bit of a disappointment (the MyGuest guy dressed in black). Every day I was a at the pool, we bought juice, lunch, ice creams, beers and cocktails etc. from the bar - however on the one day that my husband nipped to the shops for some things for the apartment (taking all the euros with him by accident) while I took the kids to the pool, I decided that instead of starving my children to death till my hubby came back and me sitting with nothing, I took some sandwiches and drinks down to the poolside in a cool bag only to be approached by the guy dressed in black to tell me that I had to put it all away as it's a different company from the hotel who run the pool side and he wouldn't make any money if all the guests brought their own stuff. I advised I was not informed of this on booking and that my husband was away with the cash and he still just said sorry. I didn't really feel like explaining to him that I'd been buying all sorts from his pool bar for nearly a week... but did mention I wouldn't buy anything again to which he just shrugged and walked off. Cue me feeling hugely embarrassed with all the guests at the pool looking over and watching. So - this leads me to the most concerning part... each day these 5 people showed up (two very loud men and 3 girls), singing loudly and acting like idiots and after they'd annoyed everyone and pelted enough kids with a football in the pool, they walked out of the complex, and down the street which made me worry after my conversation with the MyGuest manager about the poolside being run by a different company... the pool guests aren't all residents. Anyone can wander in and use the pool area and pool as long as they buy from the bar. NOT ideal when you're letting your kids run around what is supposed to be a private hotel. Needless to say I'll be booking somewhere else for Portugal next year. Great apartments but the pool situation and external catering/bar service let you down hugely!
