We're good, but we're not control-the-weather good. The next best thing we can do is offer you free Weather Protection for if the skies do open during your getaway. Book a 3* break in 2026*, and if the weather exceeds our daily rain threshold, and it rains for 2 days or more (excluding the first rainy day) , we'll give you £50 for each rainy day to compensate (up to a maximum of £300). Long story short? Clouds = cash. Of course, we really hope the sun is BEAMING for you so that you don't need to worry about any of this, but you can relax knowing it's there if you need it. Just claim your perk via our app and they'll take care of the rest.

If you’ve made an eligible booking then you’ll get free weather protection, meaning that if it rains during your jolly, we’ve got you covered. You can get up to £300 back if it rains for 2 days or more during your holiday (excluding the first rainy day).

We’ve teamed up with a third party, Wetterheld, to administer the Weather Protection perk on our behalf.
If there’s been more than 2.9 mm of rain between 10am and 6pm (local time) where your accommodation is located on 2 days or more of your holiday, you can get up to £300 back.

Exclusions / Restrictions:
You won’t be able to claim for the first rainy day of your jolly. For example, if only day 3 of your holiday is a rainy day, you won’t be eligible to request the rainy day refund.
The Weather Protection perk only covers the location of the accommodation of holiday. If you travel outside of this area during your holiday (for example, a day trip to another area), the Weather Protection perk doesn’t apply to the area you have travelled to.

You’ll be automatically notified at the end of your holiday. If the maximum amount of rainy days been reached, you can request your payout immediately, and it will be transferred within 2 business days. The payout amount works as per below:

Refer to the email received after claiming your Weather Protection Perk and follow the links to check if you are entitled to a payment. An email will also be sent at the end of your holiday advising if you qualify for a payout. You must request payment within 90 days of confirmation you’re eligible for a payout.

Unfortunately, we are unable to maintain your Weather Protection perk for changes made within 14 days of departure.
Changes to your date, duration, hotel or destination made more than 14 days ahead of departure won't affect your weather protection eligibility within the T&Cs (see full T&Cs below). Your booking will update in the Wetterheld portal within 72 hours.

If your booking is changed by the airline or hotel (outside your control) and you still qualify for the perk, we'll automatically update your weather protection to reflect the new booking details.

FREE Weather Protection Terms and Conditions - 2025/2026
FREE Weather Protection Terms and Conditions - 2025/2026
1. This promotion is offered by On the Beach Limited, whose registered office is 5 Adair Street, Manchester, M1 2NQ ("OTB"). You must be aged 18 or over and be a resident of the UK to participate in this promotion. By participating in the promotion, you shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
2. If you make a Qualifying Booking (defined below), each booking will receive complimentary Weather Protection (as defined in the Weather Protection Terms and Conditions below) for the duration of the Qualifying Booking.
3. Qualifying Booking means a booking which meets all of the following requirements:
Order must be for a package holiday that includes flights and any 3* accommodation (as rated on the OTB website) with a minimum stay of 7 nights to one of the following destinations (“Destination”):
Greece;
Portugal;
Spain (including the Balearics and Canaries); or
Turkey.
Please check your chosen destination is included in this promotion before booking.
Order must be for no more than 6 passengers (infants aged under 2 do not count as a passenger for these purposes). For the avoidance of doubt, where the order has more than 6 passengers, the booking will not receive the complimentary Weather Protection;
Order must be placed between 11th December 2025 and 31st August 2026 (inclusive);
Departure must be at least 60 days from the date of booking and departing between 10th February 2026 and 31st December 2026 (inclusive);
Package holiday must be listed on www.onthebeach.co.uk and booked via our website or app;
There is a “Free Weather Protection” logo and is shown as an Included Perk on your selected holiday on our website or app before you book;
There is no notice on our website/app informing you there is no Free Weather Protection available for the holiday you have selected (“Unavailability Notice”). Please see paragraph 5 for more information on Availability;
Order must be fully paid and remain active; and
Order must not be for a Cruise booking.
4. App Requirement & Opt-In: Once you have made your Qualifying Booking you must, within 10 calendar days, have downloaded the On the Beach app using a supported smartphone, logged into your booking and opted-in to participate in the promotion and be eligible to receive the complimentary weather protection. If you do not opt-in to the promotion and claim your complimentary weather protection, you forfeit any right to participate in the promotion. You will receive confirmation of your weather protection and any corresponding documents at least 2 weeks prior to your Qualifying Booking scheduled departure date.
5. Availability: This promotion is subject to availability. OTB has analysed likely demand from customers and expects to be able to run this promotion until 31st August 2026. However, if we need to, we can withdraw or cancel this promotion at any time (“Cancellation Date”). Where we decide to withdraw or cancel this promotion, we will provide at least 1 weeks’ notice prior to the Cancellation Date and update our website here with any Unavailability Notice. Any Qualifying Bookings made prior to the Cancellation Date will not be affected.
6. For the avoidance of doubt, this promotion is only available to Qualifying Bookings departing at least 60 days from booking.
7. Cancellation & Amendments. If you cancel the Qualifying Booking, you will not be eligible to participate in this promotion. You may amend the Qualifying Booking in accordance with OTB’s standard booking conditions. If the booking no longer meets the requirements of a Qualifying Booking due to amends requested by you, you will cease to be eligible to receive the complimentary Weather Protection, and the perk will be removed from your booking. In addition, you will not be eligible to receive any other perks offered by OTB at the time of the amendment.
Weather Protection Terms and Conditions
8. Weather Protection. If there has been Precipitation of 2.9 millimetres or more between the hours of 10:00 and 18:00 local time where the accommodation of a Qualifying Booking is located within the Destination (“Rainy Day”), for 2 or more Rainy Days, the lead booker of a Qualifying Booking will receive a cash refund of £50 per Rainy Day subject to a maximum amount of £300 per Qualifying Booking (“Rainy Day Refund”). Exclusions and restrictions apply, see paragraph 11 for details.
9. “Precipitation” means:
drizzle;
rain;
freezing rain;
freezing drizzle;
snow;
snow grains;
ice needles, diamond dust or polar snow;
ice crystals;
frost hail; or
hail.
10. Weather Protection will cover the duration of the Qualifying Booking only and will start on the day of accommodation check-in and end on the day of accommodation check-out.
11. Exclusions / Restrictions
For the avoidance of doubt, the 1st Rainy Day of the Qualifying Booking is excluded from the Weather Protection. By way of example, if there is a Rainy Day on day 3 only of your Qualifying Booking, you are not eligible to request a Rainy Day Refund.
The Weather Protection only covers the location of the accommodation of your Qualifying Booking within the Destination. If you travel outside of this area during your holiday (for example, a day trip to another area), the Weather Protection does not apply to the area you have travelled to.
12. OTB uses a third-party supplier, Wetterheld Beteiligungs GmbH (“Wetterheld”), to administer the Weather Protection and handle Rainy Day Refunds.
13. Once you have claimed this Weather Protection Perk, you will receive emails from OTB and Wetterheld with confirmation of the Weather Protection and details of how to check if you are eligible to receive and request a Rainy Day Refund.
14. How to check and request Rainy Day Refund
Once you have received confirmation of your Weather Protection, you will be able to log into your Weather Protection portal, monitor the weather during your Qualifying Booking and check if you are eligible to request a Rainy Day Refund.
Your confirmation will include information about how to request a Rainy Day Refund.
Rainy Day Refunds will be paid into the bank account details you provide to Wetterheld via the Weather Protection portal.
Only the lead booker for the Qualifying Booking will be able to request a Rainy Day Refund. Rainy Day Refunds are calculated per Qualifying Booking not per passenger.
Only 1 successful claim can be made per Qualifying Booking. Multiple claims following a successful claim will not be accepted. If the claim is unsuccessful then another claim can be submitted.
You must request payment within 90 days of confirmation you’re eligible for a Rainy Day Refund.
15. If you have any queries about the Weather Protection and / or Rainy Day Refund, please contact Wetterheld via email at onthebeach@wetterheld.com between the hours of 9:00 to 17:00 (UK time) Monday to Friday. You will need to provide your Weather Protection Identification Number (as confirmed by Wetterheld).
16. Wetterheld’s decision regarding any aspect of the Weather Protection and / or Rainy Day Refund is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
Legal
15. The Weather Protection is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash equivalent will be given by OTB, Wetterheld or any other third party engaged to provide this promotion if you choose not to participate in this promotion.
16. Failing to comply with the requirements set out in these terms and conditions may invalidate your eligibility to request and receive a Rainy Day Refund. OTB will not be liable where a request for a Rainy Day Refund has been refused because you have not complied with these terms and conditions.
17. Subject to paragraph 18, OTB shall not be liable for any loss you suffer arising from the provision (or non-provision) or use of this promotion.
18. Nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit the liability of OTB (i) in relation to personal injury or death caused by OTB's negligence or (ii) in respect of its obligations under applicable legislation, including without limitation the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangement Regulations 2018 where relevant.
19. The personal data you provide will be processed in accordance with OTB's privacy policy: https://www.onthebeach.co.uk/privacy OTB will use the personal information provided by you for the purposes of administering the promotion (and such use will include transferring personal information to Wetterheld and any other third party engaged to provide the Weather Protection).
20. OTB's standard booking conditions apply to bookings, please refer to https://www.onthebeach.co.uk/terms_of_business and the other terms and conditions displayed as part of the booking journey.
21. These terms and conditions (and any issues or disputes arising) shall be governed by the law of England and Wales law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
