Our Coolest Holidays

If you haven't been living under a rock for the past week, then you'll know that there's been an absolute sizzler of a heatwave ripping across Southern Europe (AKA, Italy, Greece and parts of Spain if, like us, you're not a Geography Whizz). But don't sweat it (soz) - before you pack your flip-flops away and lug the suitcases back into storage, there are still plenty of places where you can get some sun without the sizzle this year. We've picked 'em out below, 'cause we're good like that. Stay cool, peeps 😎✌️

Coolest holidays in Benidorm
Of course Beni would have our back in all of this. Turns out this place didn't get the memo, because while the rest of Southern Europe sweats it out in the 40s and 50s (🥵), Benidorm said 'no thanks' and kept it chill in the late 20s and 30s. Which, in case you're wondering, is the perfect temperature for cannonballing into the pool, tanning on the beach and scoffing down an ice cream (or three) 🍦 That's what beach jollies are all about, right?
Coolest holidays in the Algarve
You don't need us to sell holidays to the Algarve to you - duh, they sell themselves - but we *should* mention that this place is another cool kid on our block right now. Particularly holidays to Albufeira, which are totally keeping it chill. That means you can actually hit the beach without turning into a man-sized lobster, you can actually enjoy your cocktail before it turns bathwater-warm, and you can actually zip down a waterslide or two without the plastic burning your buns off. Because we've all been there, and it ain't fun.
Coolest holidays in Barcelona
Right now, Barcelona holidays are cooler than your fun, piercing-covered, tattoo-rocking, leapard-print-dungaree-wearing aunt. Seriously, that cool. And if you don't have an aunt like that, then don't even worry - Barcelona's got all those vibes, plus sunshine, plus beaches, plus loads of sights to tick off your bucketlist, without it being unbearably scorchio. This place has sea breezes all round, which means you can hit the shops, fill your face with tapas and wander along Las Ramblas without melting like a Calippo. Count. Us. In.
