All international visitors to the Mexican state of Quintana Roo must pay a tourist tax. The tax is $224 Mexican pesos, and applies to visitors travelling to one of Quintana Roo's destinations, including the island of Cozumel, Cancun or Tulum. From 1st February 2023, an environmental tax of approximately $31.12 MXN per room, per night is applicable in the Quintana Roo territory in Mexico. This includes the Riviera Maya, Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
