UNESCO World Heritage masterpiece

Šibenik's star attraction is the absolutely mind-blowing Cathedral of St. James, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that took 105 years to build using only white stone blocks with no wood or connecting materials whatsoever. It's got 71 carved human heads around the exterior and looks like something from a medieval dream. The whole thing was built during the 15th-16th centuries when Šibenik was a major Renaissance powerhouse.

Four fortresses with spectacular views

Šibenik's got four historic fortresses that offer incredible panoramic views and host amazing cultural events! You can catch classical concerts, jazz performances, open-air cinema, and art exhibitions all with stunning backdrops. St. Michael's Fortress offers mental views over the city and bay, while the medieval streets below are filled with Renaissance palaces, excellent restaurants, and shops.

Gateway to natural wonders

The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Croatia's most spectacular attractions. Krka National Park with its stunning waterfalls is just 13km away, while the Kornati Islands archipelago offers boat trips to 89 beautiful islands with crystal-clear waters perfect for diving and snorkelling. Plus, gorgeous islands like Hvar and Brac are just short ferry rides away.
