We booked a week AI quite late in the day and paid a decent amount of money based on previous Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed however all in all one of the best holidays we have had in recent years. The hotel was less than an hour from the airport. No wristbands - credit card used for AI guests, worked well. Accommodation- Garden room, a little dated but good air conditioning, plenty of hot water.... toiletries replenished daily and a mini bar restocked daily with a Toberone, branded spirits, beers, soft drinks and cola bottles - very good. Hotel - very clean, staff very friendly and professional, lots of space, spa good but a little expensive, good gym, tennis, clean pools, waterpark - there seemed to be a lot of Russian guests, probably followed by British Food & Drink - very very good, with plenty of variety. Book the a la carte restaurants early, Italian, International and Fish broke the week up nicely. Great pasta and indian show cooking areas. Drinks are all branded, with plenty of choice, great cocktails and plenty of wine selection. There was also a Turkish, Fish and Pub, for great lunches as well as the normal buffet areas. Tip - order your starters first then your mains - service was a little sporadic, this avoids your food all turning up at once. Entertainment - good facilities, excellent shows and it would be a good resort for teenagers. I had golf lessons at the Gloria Golf Club, very attentive and great facilities. My partner attended enjoyed pilates classes. Free wi-fi was available throughout the resort, even on the pier which is a great area to chill out, dive into the sea and cool down in the sea breeze. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and it appears many guests return year on year.

Just back from two weeks with 6 year old twins. Stayed in family suites - pool view, upper floor. The Good Stuff Suite was excellent. Good size - large double room/living room with separate twin room for children. Two bathrooms - small , but fine. Definitely worth getting a pool view. Family suite area has its own swimming pool ...a lot less crowded and manic than the main hotel pools. Suite was cleaned everyday to a high standard by our very happy/smiley cleaner ( a rare gem at Gloria.....). Overall, the facilities are great - water-park, swimming pools, beach, pier, golf course - and especially the Gogi Fun Jungle ( free to family suite guests - and right next door, all brand new, excellent staff there)....children loved it...and made a load of friends. Golf course - superb condition, a good challenge from the back tees....good standard of hired clubs...all well priced. The Bad Stuff. Although the mini bar in your room is free and re-stocked daily - it is pointless....it never gets cold enough ! We reported this - only to be told it was working "normally" ! The only hotel I've ever stayed in - 5 star or not - that doesn't have an iron/ironing board....and they won't supply one ! Life Guards at the water park on their mobile phones constantly.... Food - the daily buffets quickly become repetitive.... We tried the A la carte restaurants (make sure you book by 8am 2 days in advance !) ...but found the food to be bland....presented well....but tasteless. Got the distinct feeling with the "International" restaurant that it was the same food from the buffet ....but just put on the plate by some-one else. All style and no substance. Other bars and restaurants ...once you eventually got the attention of a waiter ( the staff seem to have a knack of managing to avoid any eye contact - and are experts in blatantly ignoring the customer)...... I would say that we had a 50% chance of them bringing what we actually ordered. Indifference to the customer was often followed by bungling incompetence. Service was often downright surly. Sani this ain't ! Service was so bad on our last night - ( 1/2 hour wait for a bottle of white wine....only then to be bought a glass....then waiter couldn't open the bottle....and then it was warm....some food actually running out at 9pm ) - that I spent 10 minutes complaining to the duty manager ...along the lines of poor service being endemic within the hotel , no-one looks like they are managing anyone, a lot of staff don't seem bothered and some are downright rude. He assured me he would pass on the comments to the hotel manager, he took our room number and made a note of the fact we were leaving the next day. I declined his offer of a bowl of fruit as "compensation" (!?). I have heard absolutely nothing from the actual manager himself....no surprise there ! I know this wasn't just us...a number of people we spoke to said the same thing regarding service and the lack of any visible management taking responsibility. In fact, returning visitors said it had got worse since last year. At the end of the day I suppose you get what you pay for....and with all inclusive there is little incentive for staff to go the extra mile. If you want that - you go to Sani - and pay extra for all the incidentals. Worth it in my opinion. Would I go back ? Probably not.....but the kids would (even if just for Gogi Fun Jungle).

We paid a bit more than usual for this holiday and booked a villa in the hotel grounds. We certainly weren't disappointed. The villa was fabulous with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a lounge/reception area and a beautiful big balcony with sun beds and the sun from late afternoon. Perfect. Little things really appealed to us at this resort. No grabbing sun beds at stupid o'clock. We never had breakfast before 9.45 and always found 4 sun beds together by the 'Olympic Pool.' The whole pool area is great with a lovely big freeform pool and plenty of sun beds. No towel cards required - if you want extra towels, just go and get them. Lovely. No pounding music at the pool or an in your face entertainment team. Great aqua park with well supervised slides. Beautifully tended gardens. River between the resort and the beach. There are various places to eat at lunchtime but Gloria Pub was our favourite spot. Lovely food in a nice atmosphere. Definitely required to have a break from the glorious sunshine which we had every day. All little things but they made a difference to us. The staff were very good. We befriended Hamza in the lovely outdoor main restaurant for our evening meal and he was extremely attentive and great with the kids. Clearly very good at his job! Nothing was too much trouble and we chose to sit where he was working for our two weeks. The shows in the stunning amphitheatre were absolutely brilliant. Best we've seen in Turkey and this was our sixth year. Wonderland was magical - don't miss it if it's still showing. Saturday night also provided an amazing fireworks display on the beach. There was live music too on the beach which sounded great but was a bit late for our kids. Gloria covers 4 resorts and you can hire golf buggies by the day to drive between the hotels or to the petting zoo at Gloria Serenity. Bikes and scooters are also available for hire for the kids to get around! Overall we thought this was a fabulous resort and will definitely be going back.

When I stayed at Gloria Golf Hotel I had a lovely time! I thought that the facilities were amazing, although sometimes slightly dated, especially for families. There is a huge selection of restaurants and bars and the main buffet restaurant is lovely and serves great food. There are also many other lovely al a carte restaurants such as the Italian or Asian restaurant which serve delicious food - although I would recommend booking these as soon as you arrive, especially if you have a large group as they are easily booked out. There is is also a spectacular patisseries serving delicious and fresh cakes and other sweet snacks. I thought the rooms were clean but slightly dated. It seemed that the bathrooms had been modernised but the rooms and main block were still quite old. My room was in the main hotel block but I believe the family sweets are more modern. As I say again the facilities are amazing for children. The waterpark is very fun and contains slides for young and older children. There is also a large main pool with lots of seating and there is also a beach. I was slightly disappointed in the beach as I thought there were not many staff around to help but other than that it was lovely. There are also pavilions on the beach which are available for rent but they are very expensive at €150 per day. My only main criticism of the whole resort is that I think the service is not always very good. Some staff are lovely and helpful while I saw some staff huffing and puffing when I asked for something. The service is quite inconsistent and sometimes it takes 2 or 3 people just to get something done. Lastly, I would definitely recommend the all inclusive package as I think it is one of the very best I have ever seen. As well as including lunch, dinner and breakfast in the main buffet restaurant you also get to dine in 3 al a carte restaurants per week, anything from the minibar, the patisserie and room service at certain times as well as much more. Overall, I had a lovely time and really enjoyed this resort.
