OMG terrible loud, noisy full of loud families terrified to leave my grandchild alone, large inflatables in the pools, music constantly all day from large speakers, not enough sun beds for the amount of people in the hotel. Food ok not brilliant, nice lovely staff who allowed us to move to the sister hotel which was amazing. Safety for children was not good long lines of people to get in the swimming pools.... if you are looking for a nice relaxing holiday PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE....

Have only returned today and couldn't wait to review! We as a family of 7 (5 kids aged 3-14) went for a weeks holiday and all I can say is FANTASTIC HOLIDAY! Hotel is clean, tidy, spacious rooms, plenty of food, outstanding pool areas, great kids club for the younger ones, friendly staff who will do anything to help you with any enquiry, nightly animation, good selection of drinks. Only negatives I have is that the kids didn't have unlimited supply of free icecream or ice lollies other than at 3:30pm rest of time you pay. Friday and Saturday is VERY busy with Spanish who hog sun loungers and canteen but we just took ourselves out and about the town them days. Thank you very much to ALL the staff at Roc Costa your professional care, we will be back again very soon. From the Quinn family rooms 517/518

Upon arrival at Roc Costa Park, we were very impressed with reception area and it is only 5km from the airport. We decided to pay the extra and upgrade to a junior suite (in the newer part of hotel) and got a lovely corner suite. We stayed in room 2221 and had a double balcony, large walk in shower etc., but it was very noisey (especially at the weekends) as it was above the entertainment area and at times you could hear people outside till after 2am in the morning. I was very disappointed with the food. As a vegetarian, I totally struggled. I lived of pizza and pasta for nearly two weeks as even the salad dishes had ham or fish in them. My daughter aged 12, also struggled to find anything apart from chips, pizza and pasta. My mum who is not a fussy eater, was very disappointed with their choice of fish. Breakfast was definitely better than lunch or dinner. The staff are very hard working as the resaurant is under staffed for the amount of guests they cater for. Expect long queues to the restaurant at weekends. Also you may forget about getting a drink at the bar at the weekends, as the queues are awful. Thankfully wine, beer, minerals and coffee are self service. As a wine drinker, I was very disappointed with the quality of their wine – the worse I ever had and Im not a fussy wine drinker. The entertainment staff are excellent and Adrian made us smile every day. One of the best entertainment teams I have come across and kids just love them. We called reception on four different occasions, twice requesting a shower mat for my elderly mum, twice cause we found a large bug in our room (4 inches long!!) and once as maid left us with no toilet roll - our requests were NEVER met and I was extremely disappointed especially when they left it to the maid to get rid of the very large bug when she cleaned our room in the afternoon. Not good enough for a 4 star hotel!!!! The behaviour of the local Spanish people is awful. They totally ruined my holiday with their rudeness, skipping queues, shouting in the restaurant, bumping into you without any apologies, unmannerly children, booking up all tables and chair during entertaintment etc. etc. We could not even talk to each other in the restaurant with the noise level of the Spanish guests. I certainly would not recommend this hotel to any guests that are not Spanish and will not consider staying there again because of this.

This hotel has certainly got it's advantages but also a few disadvantages with it. The staff are OK but nothing special. The reception was very clean and spotless which i really like to see. We just got a standard room which was on the ground floor. It was clean, had a couple of amenities and the shower was OK but nothing amazing. We had a huge balcony but our view was of just a motorway and of another (smaller) hotel so nothing that is dazzling. Also the room is quite dated but the upgraded rooms look much more modern but smaller. The main pool was pretty good and was clean with great music playing all day. My big issue with this pool is that they don't allow you to use inflatables like rubber rings. I thought this was bizarre as the pool was quite big and i clearly wasn't doing any harm to anyone. There is a shop as part of the hotel that sells inflatables but they don't tell you about this which i think is really not good. There is a much smaller pool at the other side of the hotel which you can use them but the pool became very cramped as everyone who was in this tiny pool had great big rubber rings and lie low's, surely this would do more harm. Having saying that, there was plenty of daytime activities that included everyone. In the main pool there is a bouncy castle almost daily which kids seemed to enjoy. Also there is a kids pirate ship which again, looked very fun and exciting for young children. A lot of people talk about a Spanish invasion but to be honest we didn't see any or was bothered by anyone (even on the weekend) Also there is a large queue every morning for the pool as it doesn't open until 10am which seems quite late. The main restaurant was average, there was a buffet which had a large variety of food and drinks. There was something for everyone. However there are no actual restaurants in this hotel which my mother (who i went with) really wished they had one. There is another smaller brunch restaurant just beside the smaller pool but again this was a buffet and had a much smaller choice. Most people thought the entertainment at night was awful and rubbish however i'm not overly fussed about it as i'm just happy to be talking to others but if you really want good entertainment at night then this place probably is not for you. Not to mention it did start extremely late, the kids mini disco was at 9:30pm and the actual entertainment at 10pm!!! The entertainment was usually bingo or karaoke (it varied each night) The location of this hotel is not great either, the beach is way too far to walk however there is a shuttle bus available but we didn't use it as we didn't want to wait so we got taxi's. There is a games room which a variety of games for kids however they did of course cost 1 or 2 euro's but no surprises there. Also there are massage chairs (again cost a couple of euro's) and a cloth shop and a foot massage shop which neither of us went to so i couldn't say any prices. Overall this was a OK place but I've been to better hotels before but if you are planning to go with kids then i'm sure they'll love it.
Beautiful sunny days, and mild nights are what Torremolinos holidays are famed for. Typical summer temperatures can hit 30° Celsius or even higher, so bring plenty of light, airy clothes and extra sunscreen! Water temperatures are also very mild, in the low twenties, so paddling or swimming is particularly pleasant during the summer season when holidays in Torremolinos are most popular.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
