My husband and I stayed at this hotel during Easter for our wedding anniversary. On arrival reception OK, was given a map which explained how to get to our accommodation. We then had to find room (which was at the other side of complex.) we had paid for 4* accommodation, on a half board basis. On arrival at our room realized we had been given a self catering apartment, which to the front looked onto ALL INCLUSIVE bar area, to the back of this building was a sport and children's area that was in desperate need of a complete revamp and a few buildings that were not in use but were falling down. Apartment When we opened the apartment door even more disappointment inside, lots of areas needed attention, window in bathroom had a large crack in, wardrobe doors were not easy to open, not enough coat hanger (4 in the whole wardrobe) had to put clothes on back of chairs in room, all hotels we have stayed in previously had left complementary tea, coffee etc sachets nothing like that here. Kettle must have boiled dry at sometime as when we first used it awful burnt smell and lots of black bits in bottom, couldn't use so had to go out for any drinks. very uncomfortable beds, holes in top covers on bed also in curtains. (worst nights sleep in long time.) Although cleaners came into apartment every day, cleaning was not done to a standard that I would expect in 4* accommodation hotel, although beds were made everyday, there was no wiping of units or sweeping of floors (husband found a brush that had been left on the bottom floor one evening, he took it up to our room and after sweeping the floor there was a big pile of dust and muck which we left in a corner for cleaners the next day.) Last night of holiday husband had to wedge something under the door to stop it banging in the wind, even less sleep due to noise. Some maintenance of gardens and block paving was needed uneven block paving(trip hazard). Lots of areas around the hotel I.e grass areas, flower/plant beds need to be attended to. We thought things couldn't get any worse, how wrong we were, first night at restaurant had to queue outside until a table became available, when we did get inside had to then find a cleared table, husband went to buy wine and was going to pick up a jug of water which we had seen on some trays has we came in (he was told he had to pay for water because it was for All Inclusive guest only.) we never bought another bottle of wine. If you like good food, DON'T eat here food was bland, had no seasoning and didn't look appetizing, we tried it for a few nights, thinking it might get better (it didn't) on quite a few occasions walked in looked and walked straight back out. Also first night in restaurant counted 20+ tables near us that had still to be cleared and when we left to go out queue of guests waiting to eat had got even longer than before, at least 45+ (took photos as we couldn't believe what we were seeing.) I cannot think of any positives about this hotel Poor location, badly maintained, we didn't even like returning to hotel after we had been out. what should have been a holiday to recharge our batteries turned out to be a holiday nightmare. Although we enjoyed Torromolinos would never stay at this hotel again, would not recommend this hotel to friends or family. Advise to other travellers Torromolinos is really nice, train link good for Malaga Benalmadena and Fuengirola really good. But stay at another hotel, this hotel is definitely not 4* I wouldn't even give it a 2*.

Stayed here for 4 days for work with a lady in a wheelchair and I must say the one positive thing the staff and hotel were very good with us and very considerate of us having a wheelchair, however the hotel is not a 4star, the food was horrendous it was like a school canteen and barely edible the breakfast was the best part! The bar food was ok but greasy not something u could eat everyday. The room was ok pretty basic. Wifi at reception was rubbish and the charge for the other Wifi was expensive! Entertainment stopped at 11 pretty rubbish when there's no where else to go. Being in front of beach was a positive but I wouldn't return to this hotel was not worth what we paid!

I have just recently returned from a fantastic 9 night stay at the Puente Real. I visited with my family and I must say I couldn't fault the hotel in anyway. The food was excellent in the restaurant, especially the themed nights, Chinese, and Mexican. The snacks at the snack bar were great and always service with a smile. Drinks were self service at the pool bar so no queuing and ice creams, lollies were just help yourself. The animation team Marina and Juan were first class, friendly and fun, they helped make are holiday, especially Juan's dance classes and Marinas kindness and attentiveness to our children. This hotel ticks all the boxes for a great family holiday in the sun.
