We stayed in the Sunset Beach Club for a week in June. We were a family of two adults & two children. We upgraded to a Junior Suite. Wow,this was so worth the extra money (€175) We were on the eighth...
We have stayed here before and once again were very happy with everything with the hotel. However this holiday we were very disappointed to of wasted time listening to a"salesman " who knocked at our hotel room door announcing he was working for the hotel and wanted to see if he could save us any money on our next holiday The guy was British and said he wasn't selling time share (which wasn't completely true it's a buy point scheme , so a new named scheme -same thing !) So if we could spare him half an hour the next day .So like fools we trotted along to floor 8 where he delivered his patter for 2 hours !!!!!!! Obviously the guy was not a happy bunny when we said "no thanks" .Then on our last day another knock at the door from the guys colleague who wanted to do it all again!!So a word of advice when your staying at this hotel DO NOT GET CONNED INTO GOING TO FLOOR 8 ! Disappointed that the hotel lets this happen to holidaymakers relaxing in their hotel.
Tiny rooms, twin room is 2 single beds in what is essentially a cupboard. double bed is a pull-out bed and blocks off the door to the balcony. Very busy hotel, too noisy for me. Location is perfect...
The complex is wheel chair friendly. Rooms are compact but adequate for a holiday. Breakfast is very good self-service and dinners are good variety with plenty of options. Swimming pools are easy to access and not too crowded.
Nice impressive hotel but very busy and noisy. No soundproofing at all in the rooms so no chance of a early night or a sleep in, you can hear everything in the corridors, next door and above you. A...
We had a great stay - my parents, husband & 2 children aged 2 & 5. Apartments were apartment: spacious & clean with good storage. decent sized balcony. We were an outside 1 bed on floor 13. Traffic was noisey but it was ok. We requested 2 apts side by side which they were. We saw from previous reviews to ask for a room above level 7 to avoid noise from road & disco. Reception is level 6. Disco is on level 5 & you have to walk by a lot of apts to get to the door - I'd hate that if I was there as I'd say it was really noisey. We had asked for a sea view but I dont think you can get one if it's a 1 bedroom. It would have been an amazing view though. We barely squeezed the cot in the bedroom, so we could sit up. But husband didn't find the sofa bed very comfy. Lifts are busy but quick. Quick check in. Supermarket on site was really handy, although cheaper one can be found across the road. Burger King across the road which was a great easy option for a Late arrival. Had a lovely meal without the kids one night in oasis restaurant - good steak. Oasis bar does some takeaway options of pizza, salads, curry etc which were great but kitchen was good enough to cook for the kids. Just make sure freezer dial is switched to full as mine wasn't, and day 2 I threw out stuff. Pools were great & kids animation team were all lovely. We were there for the debut of the frozen show & they really did it well. I'm a professional singer & Entertainment throughout the hotel is very strong, regardless of what genres or age group it's targeted at. My only complaint is the 'kiddies disco' was in a bit late for us. 9-10 then the show starts at 10.30. It would have been better for us with the ages of our children if everything was shifted 1.5 hrs earlier. As it was too late to catch much of the show. But our children are only 2 &5. Overall a really good choice for family's. Couldn't fault it!
This is not a place we would normally stay as it seemed very big. I do have to say all the facilities and staff were all very good. We stayed in a beach view room, which was clean and modern and...
We stayed in the Sunset Beach Club for a week in June. We were a family of two adults & two children. We upgraded to a Junior Suite. Wow,this was so worth the extra money (€175) We were on the eighth floor with a fantastic view of the pools & the sea. We feel asleep every night to sound of the waves. The reception staff were very friendly &helpful . Found the restaurant staff weren't as helpful but they were exceptionally busy every morning. Breakfast was really tasty, everything was cooked perfectly and if the hot food counter ran out of any food it was replaced straight away. The three pools were the highlight of the week with the children. Pool area was power washed every morning. What made us feel that this hotel was home away from home is that they thought of everything possible you will need while you stay here especially in the room. The rooms and the whole hotel are spotlessly clean. There's great entertainment in the hotel at night time & there's a lot of activities at the pool during the day. The beach is just next to hotel. The marina is a good twenty minute walk from here. The hotel have stayed the policy of no reserving sun loungers which is great,As the pool area gets so busy it can be difficult to find spare sun loungers. We are all looking forward to our Summer holidays next year & yes we will definitely be heading back to Sunset Beach Club again.
Year round, Benalmadena enjoys a mild, humid climate with hot, dry summers that typically range from 26 to 32° Celsius from May until August. The water temperature rarely drops below the low twenties in the summer, making it the ideal climate to catch a few rays or enjoy the clarity of the warm, blue waters off the coast.
