We stayed for a week from the 14th of July.. We arrived about 12 and was delighted that our room was ready for us. The rooms are compact but excellent views (mountain view) so clean and tidy. So much for the kids to do a really family hotel. Supermarket in the hotel is way too expensive but there is a large supermarket across the road and it's so cheap.. Rooms are cleaned daily with towel changes so this is an excellent service. Lifts are a little slow.. We were on the 13th floor and found it very hard to get the lift when we needed it. A very large hotel that needs a lot more lifts..the wifi was so bad!! You can't get it in your rooms or by the pool, only on the 5th floor and even the. The reception was awful!! But overall we had an excellent time, happy hour from 7 to 8 is amazing, The evening entertainment was great if you didn't want to leave the hotel. A taxi to the Marina was only €5 and it is so worth a visit, excellent bars and restaurants. Would definitely be back at sunset beach club . We all had an amazing holiday. Thank you.

Had our first holidays at the Sunset Beach after hearing great things from friends and family and wasnt disappointed. If you are arriving on a day time flight take the train from the airport to Benalmedina - costs e2.10 p.p one way ( dont buy return as this is only a day return) and hop in a taxi to the hotel from the train station which costs e7/8.Really easy to use as trains have a no. of screens on board each carraige showing the next stop in english as well as spanish so you know exactly where you are and announcements are also made in english.. Childrens ent: We have 2 kids, 5 and 8, who did not want to leave. The kids club is great. Unlike many kids clubs where kids spend most of the time colouring, this kids club had a variety of activities which were all carried out as promised. Everything from bouncy castles to baking cakes. The activities are free except for 2 days a week when they do a pirate day which costs e15. It runs from 10.30 to 4.30 and lunch is provided.Cheapest baby sitting ever and the kids had a ball. They also made friends who they hung with for the rest of the week! At night, they show kids movies in a little cinema of the main entertainment area which means you can relax and enjoy a few drinks/show while the kids are secure. What really impressed me was they had seperate entertainment programmes for teens which was specificalycatered to them depending on age , including video games/archery etc I was so impressed by the entertainment team all round. Apts are small but adequate as have a large storage cupboard where you can store suitcases, clothes, bags etc . I booked the outside apt expecting to be overlooking the beach or pool but instead got a view of the main road and burger king so would just save the money next time and book an inside room.It was quite noisy at times with motorbikes revving and sirens passing We did Tivoli World . Pricing is odd-you as you pay circa e8 just to walk in and then buy wristbands which get you on most of the rides. A family bands (2+2 )cost just under e50. So it cost circa e80 for 4.Also you then have the option of buying an extra band again which gets you on further paying rides . I got confused at that stage so didnt bother with that band. We went at 6.00 and it was really quiet so no queuing anywhere . The more popular rides did get busier later but queue was still only 10 mins max. My 8 yr old failed the 1.4m height restriction for some of the more scary rides but was allowed on most once he was with an adult so was delighted. There was loads for the 5 year old and we eventually had to drag them away at 12.30. We also did the 'bouncy castle obstacle course' yoke out in the water in benalmedina. You are given life jackets and have to swim out to it. I took my 5 yr old but it was to difficult for him so would suggest 7 years and up only who are confident in the water as is a challenging course. My 8 yr old loved it and so did I . Spent a lot of time climbing back on after coming a cropper! It cost e10 for the hour or e25 for the day. Overall would highly recommend this hotel for families

We arrived here on Monday 20th July and are staying for 1 weekp, the hotel is large and busy but copes well with the amount of people. The room we have on the 14th floor is compact, spotless and well equipped, it did take us a day or two to work where all 8 of the hotel lifts are which prevented waiting at the main lifts. The staff are very friendly and courteous, there is a decent supermarket on site however, there is a larger and cheaper supermarket opposite the hotel about 5 minutes walk up the bank. The location is excellent and the 2 bars owned by the hotel which are just offsite and face onto the sea are both excellent and offer superb views and a relaxing atmosphere on a summer evening. The only downside is that we booked an "outside room" and didn't realise that this does not mean a sea view which would of made this a perfect holiday as we booked this hotel as a special occassion for our aniversary. Overall a very good hotel which I would recommend.

we arrived on the 6th of July 2015 over 30 of us we went for a family wedding for 11 nights when we arrived there was none there to take our luggage like there usually is in a 4 star hotel when we went into reception we were waiting at least an hour to check in and when we did they told us that we were to early and that we had wait it was 10 and they told us we had to wait until 2 because we had to wait for the other people to come out so we had to wait 5 hours which was a disgrace and I would never ever go back to this hotel it is very over crowded there are 4 bars in the hotel and they cannot fit the amount of people in al the bars. parnorma bar holds 50 the other 2 bars on the beech hold 20 each and the other bar the moonlight bar holds about 100 so that is in all the bars together they old about 200 people and there are between 3000-4000 people staying the hotel it is very very hard to get a set unless you are qeuing outside before they open the moonlight bar holds 100 and that is the only bar that has entertainment only some of the shows are descent and then there is another issue with over crowding is- there is 3000-4000 staying in the hotel and there is only 200-300 sunbeds so that is on average 15 people per sunbed and if you want to go to the beach it is 13.50 for 3 sunbeds per day so if 3 people wanted to go to the beach for 11 days it would cost 148.5 euro and you would need to because the pool is too over crowded and you would have to be down there at 6 o clock to get a sunbed and if you left your towel on it they would come around and take it so this hotel is very very overcroweded and the staff are very unhelpful one night we were in moonlight bar and I was waiting pasionatally and the man kept walking past me after 30 mins some gentleman said that I was waiting and then at last he served me and he didn't even apoligise or say thanks or please or anything and I was very insulted by this and then another night I was in parnorma bar and the 2 of us decided to get our portrait done of your man that does the silly faces and then we told him that we wanted the two of us in the photo and he said no problem don't worry so we both sat down and after 1 hour of posing he only was after putting one of us in it and then when we told him that we said we wanted the two of us in it he said that we didn't and we only asked for one and he told us to go away asked him to do it again for free and he could keep the other one and he said no go away and all we were asking for is what we asked for in the first place he was a very very ignorant man and we were very upset after this situation. the marina is a nice place and I would highly recommend it and the American restaurant jacks is a lovely place to eat and you should get the bus to torremolinos strip they have way better shops and you should go to the big shopping centre in mijas costa its called Miramar shopping centre the amusment park Tivoli world is very deer and it is not worth the money at all it is a rip rip off we paid 30 euro each for a band and they said that we were to big for 95% of the things and if u have small children u cant even go on with them because they say they you are to big and we were playing the darts game trying to win prizes after spending 15 euro we got a pencil case and one of the people staying with us said you have to throw they balls into the holes and he doe that and then she said that they had to be one ball in each hole so they asked can they have another go cause it was not fair and she said no and they asked to speak to the manager and she said that the manager is not here and she wont be available so anyway we didn't like our stay in benalmadena and if you were going to go to costa del sol I would advise that you go to torremolinoes or peurto banus thankyou very much for reading and I hope you enjoy your holidays p.s donot go to sunset beach club unless you want to have a missreble time
