We went all-inclusive to Benalmadena Palace in April (so out of season) and could not have enjoyed ourselves there more. The food was different each day with a fantastic selection and was the best all-inclusive food selection I have ever seen. The accommodation was as expected, not the Ritz, but comfortable and clean and kept clean by the maids at necessary intervals. Well worth the upgrade to a pool/sun/sea view. Sun all day from about 10/11 onwards. The staff were all friendly and very attentive, especially in the bar in the evening. Special mention to Simon at the bar who kept our drinks topped up all night and was very friendly and professional throughout our stay. Very glad to have met him. Also, a mention for Sergio who was also a great barkeep. The entertainment in the evenings was top-notch, which is sometimes unusual for all-inclusive resorts (although out of season, not all clientele seemed to go all-inclusive). Again a special mention to Mario (and his side-kick Patrice - sorry if I spelt that wrong). Mario is a born entertainer and is very amusing. Patrice is amusing (even if he's not actually trying to be...) and seems to enjoy dressing up as Beny the mascot a little too much... Couldn't recommend this place more. Thanks for a great week Benalmadena Palace. Aaron (3rd in Mr Benalmadena Palace 2015 - out of 3 entrants)

I stayed here with a friend in a studio for 3 nighta in April 2015, we paid £180 for the both of us without breakfast. We arrived late and our room was a studio which was perfect for us, it was one room with a double bed, sofa bed in the living room area large bathroom and balcony. We only ate out so I cant comment on the facilities, although they looked fine for a few days. We asked to move to a twin room however, they said the studios were all double beds and would cost an extra €20 per night to move, we decided to stay and I slept on the sofa bed which was fine for 3 nights. All the studios are in the roof of the building and ours looked over the pool and sea so was really lovely. The pool area was gorgeous, plenty of beds but water a bit cold for a dip in April! There was also an indoor heated pool, but I didnt use this. There was a small gym that I used which was also fine with 2 treadmills/x trainer and resistance machines. We opted for a deep tissue massage too which was €40 for 55minutes...not for the faint hearted but very good! We also had a late checkout which cost an extra €40 which I felt was quite steep, to say we didnt arrive until 10pm the first day but could have checked in that afternoon, I feel like to compensate for late check in we could have had a late check out free of charge. One thing that may be worth checking before you book is when we checked in, we were told by staff (Nacho) that check out was 1030am however, late check out €40 only allowed to check out at 12noon, not any later. We received a note through the door advising of a late check out later in the week, so mixed messages! We ate in the pool bar a couple of times for lunch and that was also great. Id like to say thank you to Raquel who is the physical training instructor, she was extremely polite and great to chat to. She also did a body toning class for my friend and I, which was great! The only negative about the hotel is its nearly 2miles away from the marina, we walked there each evening which took 25minutes but if you struggle with walking its probably not the best for you. It was about 20mins from the airport and cost €20 on the way in and €25 on the way out! A great hotel for a break and all the areas are very clean and tidy and Id definitely stay again if I wanted a quiet holiday!

We've just finished our 10 day vacation in Benalmadena Palace. First of all hotel has a good central location. Close to the beach, which is ok, not far from supermarket and other Benalmadena attractions. We had a rented car, but didn't use hotel parking (9 EUR/day). We could always find the parking space on surrounding streets. It could be a problem during season. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to the people without kids. It is a tipical family hotel with all its conseqences. Huge noise during the meal. Appartments are generally ok, but in our opinion solid renovation would be our advise. For a four star hotel it was strange that in-room safe was a paid option (2,5 EUR per day). Strange. The level of cleanliness was average. Especially in the restaurant. Tablecloths (places as a permanent element) placed under the proper tablecloth were dirty and it didn't look good. We took the half board option for meals and it was a good choice because we didn't want to cook. But...food was a little disapointment. Looked very good, but tasted below average. During dinners there is a pianist playing some music. It is a total disaster. I would appreciate it in lounge room, bar, listening to nice jazz or other music, but not during dinner where dozens of kids yealing trying to be louder than the piano. For me the unaceptable situation was at the pool area. Hotel started to repair terrace and pool itself (safeguards were constantly sticking the flacking tiles) during our stay which resulted in noise during the day when people wanted simply to have some relax. Repairs like this should be conducted before the season (during winter preferably) but not in front of tourists staying in the hotel.
