The hotel itself is very nice, food good and pool is nice. The rooms are well equipped and modern and the whole place is immaculately clean. However the resort is massive meaning a bus ride down to...
We booked our holiday a year in advance. Being a family of 6 (mum/dad and 4 children under 12 yrs) we requested two apartments next to each other. When we arrived we were given rooms in different corridors. It took two days of going back and forth to reception before they reluctantly gave us rooms next to each other. After a ten day stay we asked if we could extend one of our rooms until later as we had a night flight and the children would be tired, we were told a blank 'no' They made no effort to help us. Really disappointed with the poor service. In addition to this we saw numerous people with cut toes from the broken tiles in the pool. The pool attendant was in the pool most days removing said objects. In addition to this the hotels pictures of the pool are misleading, the pool area is a lot smaller than portrayed. The Marina is a good 40 minute walk away and the hotel is situated at the top of a steep hill.
After first arriving at this hotel we were really pleasantly surprised, how that changed after being there a few days. The staff at the snack bar were great at first and couldn't do enough for you,then...
This is the first time we have visited in the summer months and we had a great time. The hotel is always upgrading and every year there is something new. Having eaten in the hotel every year for the past 8 years I can confirm the food has got better and better , The staff are great with Patrice , Sergio, Simon all made me feel very welcome. One little improvement could be made and its the sausages at breakfast which are a liitle under done and a better quality sausage cooked (browned) a liitle longer would make breakfast perfect , But don't let this put you off as the food on the whole is the best I have tasted during my time abroad and is a credit to the hotel. See you again in Feb Keep up the good work .

Just back from an 11 night stay at Benalmadena Palace. We travelled as a party of 2 adults & 2 kids (8 & 4). Room - We stayed in a room on the 6th floor overlooking the pool with a great view of the Med, though we had to pay extra on arrival to get this. Rooms are basic and the living area is small. Bedroom, bathroom and balcony were a good size though. As the weather was fantastic as expected, we didn't spend much time in the room so it served its purpose adequately. Would class as a 3* room. Facilities - The facilities in the hotel are excellent. The hotel boasts a top notch kids club run by dedicated staff working long hours in intense heat. My 4 year old daughter loved the kids club and as it is open round the clock we were able to relax while she was looked after in a very secure environment. Facilities and equipment in the area is excellent also. Thanks to all the staff involved with the mini club. This is a huge plus in favour of the hotel. Food - We stayed half board. Breakfast was very good with a broad choice. Dinners were hit and miss. Food was sometimes not very warm and there was a lack of variety. Choices for kids were quite poor in particular and could be improved. Location - whilst we enjoyed the facilities on offer in the Benalmadena Palace complex, a major minor point is the hotel's location at the far end of Benalmadena. To go anywhere of interest required a long walk or buses or taxi's to get to. Hotel is close to the beach and does offer a courtesy bus - though the beach nearby has pebbles and the sea is deep. There are better sandy and shallow beaches up towards the marina. The hotel's location would unfortunately make me reconsider staying again. Entertainment - Daytime entertainment is very good with the animation team putting on the water polo and volleyball etc. However, the evening "entertainment" is absolutely dire and takes place in a bar inside the hotel. Really, after watching some of the parrot shows; or eagle shows (which are basically excuses to rip you off 10 euro by playing on the kids emotions wanting a photo with the bird), the last thing I then want to hear is kids karaoke. As this hotel really caters for families with young kids, the bar empties around 11pm - also around the same time the all inclusive ends. On the plus side, a happy hour between 9-10 sets you up with your drinks for the evening. A cheap, but pretty boring night. There were lots of complaints about the entertainment. Overall, we had a very good holiday and the Benalmadena Palace was a very good, secure and private site with top notch facilites in the complex. The kids had an amazing time, particularly once they made a few mates and after a few days we barely saw our 8 year old at all. It is let down by the location at the far end of Benalmadena and poor entertainment.

I stayed for one week at the beginning of may with my friend. We had a studio which was very well equipped and comfortable. Ideal for 2 or more as the bathroom has a bath withshower plus a separate walk in shower. The only downside was the balcony it faces a wall and receives no sun at anytime. The hotel facilities were good, food choices good and hot food was always piping hot. As a woman with mobility issues getting in and out of the pool was challenging as there are only steep metal ladder style steps. It would also help if you could provide the pool towels near the pool rather than having to trek back and forth to reception every day. Elsewhere access had been looked at with ramps available. Our main complaint was that our evenings were ruined by unsupervised screaming children running around in the main bar especially outside and this went on until the early hour's. Our main complaint is that there was no alternative place for us to escape this as there are no adult only bars or areas in the hotel. Even in our room we couldnt escape the noise as our room was overlooking the bar. We felt sorry for the bar staff working there too as they had to work with those kids running around . One night they broke a large plantholder so creating extra work for busy bar staff. All the staff at the hotel were great very obliging and friendly. We would like to give a special mention to Michael in the entertainments bar for looking after us well during the week.
