Back today from the palace all and all place is great . Bit far out but nice and quite and security is brilliant felt safe . Buses at bottom off hill take you in and out few euros or taxi 11 euros . Pool is great for young and old kids best I have had on holiday . Staff are all lovely (jasmine the best ) all staff from bars to reception very helpful always . Very clean always cleaners around pools etc . Rooms are big bit out dated but you spend no time in them . Hill is a bit of a track we did it once was so hot so we got bus that runs up and down all day free which is perfect . Plenty of food my kids are fussy and there was always something . Had to change rooms on last night due to a smell that was unbearable (not sure if air co nor drains ) got moved but was inconvenient at midnight with 2 kids and all cases ! Entertainment was ok varied but we really enjoyed 5 nights out of the 7 . All round great stay shame about last night will take this up with jet 2 !

We have just returned home from the benalmadena palace. After reading previous reviews about the food being outstanding that was one of the main reasons we booked it but really was nothing special or different from any other hotel I have stayed in! Nice enough is the word I would use. We ended up eating out after a few nights and they gave us the option of changing from dinner to lunch which was good. The kids club was good, my 4 year old really enjoyed it. The rooms are good nice and clean also no complaints. Staff were lovely very friendly. Hotel was getting so so busy just before we left it is full of kids everywhere, not a hotel for a relaxing holiday! A lot of people leaving towels down as well and not actually lying on them until hours later. There really should be a rule for this. If we were returning to benalmadena we would not be returning to this hotel.

We stayed here for a week. Staff are really friendly and hotel was extra clean. Not many restaurants near by so if not half board or all inclusive then you are struggling to eat anywhere. We ended up Paying to eat in hotel for dinner. Buffet very limited but was ok. When it says self catering you literally get a hob, sink, fridge and microwave - no oven to cook food. In ours we had 3 plates, 2 soup bowls, 1 saucepan, 2 cups and 2 glasses for a family of 4. So apart from sandwiches not much more could be cooked. Towels are like they are washed in softer and just run over your skin instead of drying it. Sunbeds are all taken by towels so as soon as you wake up go and reserve your sunbed. Kids pool is manic - there are children aged 10+ in it fighting and splashing so if kids are 5 and under stay clear. It's really rough and no rules or anyone asking them to stop. Plus extra large inflatables allowed in baby pool which when you have 3 or more in there it's the pool space gone. Kids entertainment is brilliant and also kids section indoors is fab if you get a rainy day. Reception don't tell you much of what, how and when to do things it's a case of you having to think and go and ask. Not much info given on day of check in. If I came back to benalmadena I wouldn't look at rebooking here.

I'm just back from Benalmadena Palace a few weeks now and I'm severely missing it already! I came on holiday with my 2 friends (we are all 21) and didn't really know what to expect. We knew before we came that it was a family hotel but we were after a relaxing break and didn't want to go to the usual places our age group go to (Malia, Ibiza etc) Location - The location is great. It's only a 5 minute walk from the beach and shops. As 3 young girls we were keen on the night life. Its about a 9 euro taxi ride away from the Square and the Marina so it was perfect for us. (If you are planning on going out I recommend the Marina over the square. It's a great atmosphere down there and we had many amazing nights!) The only downside to the location is the steep hill leading up to the hotel. I am not very fit so felt like I was going to die every time I got to the top. It's fine though. Exercise is good right? Rooms - The rooms are lovely. Not too big and not too small. Just right. They were clean and modernly decorated which we loved! I recommend asking for a pool view as we started off with our balcony over-looking a large tree. We were then moved to a pool view room and it was beautiful. Sleep Quality - 10/10. We even napped in the evening time as the beds were so comfy and that says it all really. Cleanliness - You can tell the hotel is extremely looked after. Every time we went into our room after a day out it had been cleaned for us. Service - The service is what made our holiday. Every single staff member made us feel so at home and were extremely accommodating. Big thanks to Antonio on reception who had to put up with us asking about 10 questions a day. Also to Mario who is the entertainer and kept us amused all 10 days with his attempts to get us to play pool sports. and finally to our favourites on the bar Simon and Michael! Thanks Benalmadena Palace - We will be back! :)
