I spent a week at this all inclusive hotel at the end of January 2015. Overall, I thought the service was great. There was a restaurant manager there called Manuel who was always welcoming, friendly and professional. He usually works at another hotel but was covering for a week or two. There was an Asian front desk manager who was friendly and very helpful (forgotten his name!). I found most of the staff friendly and helpful but there were a couple of them that had sour faces but I wasn't going to let them spoil my holiday. There was a good selection of foods and I over-indulged a bit (smiles). As most reviewers have mentioned, the walls are very thin and it's quite disturbing being forced to listen to other people's conversations. The walls need to be sound-proofed but the company probably don't want to spend that sort of money to get the work done. There is a shopping area about a 10-minute walk from the hotel but most of the things that I wanted to do and see were in Barcelona which is an hour's journey by train. The train station is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. I would say the hotel rating is between 3-4 star and I loved the fact that there was entertainment every night which I enjoyed. Sagrada Familia is a must see and the Picasso Museum was fascinating. I highly recommend taking the tour bus in Barcelona. It's a beautiful city. I had a great time and would definitely stay there again even though the WIFI is expensive. I would prefer that the WIFI charge be added to the cost of the room. I was on the 6th floor with a balcony that overlooked the sea and the room was spacious. The charge for the room safe is expensive so I didn't use it.

Unfortunately the only positive thing that I may say with regard to this property is that the room was rather spacious and clean. For the rest, our stay was quite unpleasant. The sleeping quality in the hotel was below poor since the walls in the rooms are paper, so you basically live in the same room with your neighbors and hear everything they say, even when said with a normal voice. Very uncomfortable, no privacy whatsoever. As to the four stars, this is the first hotel ever where I had to pay for the inroom safety deposit and it was pricey. For the Wifi you had to pay also and it was not cheap either. But the worst thing was the unprofessional and unfriendly staff and service in the hotel. Just one example: we did not get the wake up call when we ordered one the morning we had to leave to the airport but we got unordered wake up calls, twice, and very early.

Booked this hotel for 3 nights during mid term school holiday. On arriving we were greeted promptly at reception and given all the necessary info for all inclusive by the very nice gentleman at the front desk . THIS was my first visit to an H Top hotel , and not sure I will be back at one . Fist difference I encountered , compared to most all inclusive hotels is that we received 2 cards , and had our photos taken and scanned , rather than a wrist band , at first , I thought this was a good idea , but it proved more inconvenient , as you had to carry these with you at all times , and unable to get a drink without them . As we arrived late in the evening we had missed dinner . ,So Made our way down to the bar area , where there was nightly entertainment , this was extremely busy . As has been mentioned before , the Bar Manager was rather rude and offhand . It was extremely busy with locals out for the night and was popular with Spanish families for a weekend break .Therefore it was extremely noisy , and I felt the bar staff struggled to cope with that amount of people . Next morning at breakfast , it was again very busy , along with a lot of children , so was a bit of a nightmare all round. The food however , I found to be of a reasonable standard . Oor room was cleaned promptly each day , and came with a TV , phone , and bathroom had a hairdryer , sachets of soap , gel etc., the walls of the rooms are paper thin so you can hear everything going on in the rooms either side of you .During our stay the hall carpet was never cleaned . The hotel is very hand for the railway station , where you can go to Barcelona and takes about an hour . The service is regular and not expensive . . Special mention for Manuel, who was very obliging , efficient and pleasant . I recommend you go for your meal early , as , when busy , is cramped and a big queue forms quickly . Maybe the hotel is different in the summer , But as it stands I will not be back.

As you would expect from this part of the word, Calella basks in a coastal Mediterranean climate, ensuring year-round mild temperatures. Autumn and spring enjoy cooler weather, or come in July and August for summer at its hottest. The weather is perfect for Calella holidays no matter what time of year you visit. East is ideal for golf, summer is excellent for sun tanning while Autumn is an ideal time for an offpeak holiday in Calella. Just don’t forget to slap on that high-factor sunscreen!
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
