We stayed in Calella place for 7 nights on an AI bases and I have to say we all had a wonderful time. Hotel rooms are clean and spacious. The food was absolutely delicious - had a wide selection of dishes to accommodate different likes. Local wines, beer and drinks were freely available. The ground floor pool can get busy so I would recommend the roof top terrace which has three Jacuzzi s and wonderful views. Great central location to shopping area and beech. Great for family and kids !! Wonderful stay !!! Please note though, this hotel is listed as a 4 star hotel, it is really a 3 star hotel.

We were originally booked into the olympic hotel but after one night we asked to be moved as it was really over crowded. We were offered a room in Calella palace and all I can say is wow , it was really big, we had 2 double beds and asked for a single for one of my sons who has autism which they quickly sorted out for us. They also allowed us to print off our boarding passes to save us going to the internet café. the staff on reception are really helpful and cheerful and have helped resolve any problems we have had. The pool areas are spotless as is the rest of the hotel. As Calella has lots of restaurants around it we really havnt had many meals here so all inclusive was a waste of money for us as the boys wanted to eat out nearly every night but what we have eaten has been really good and hot, not cold as others have stated on here.can't comment on entertainment as we have either been at local pubs, restaurants or bars oh and shopping, lots of shopping. The card system that the hotel has for drinks was a bit of a pain as the queues were long but no dirty glasses hanging around anywhere which was good to see.Just to mention also washing drying and ironing facilities are free, you book in at reception (I booked for 2 hours and had all mine washed, dried and ironed). The pool area was busy as it was Spanish holiday but we always managed to get a few sunbeds when we used the pool. There is a large Jacuzzi around the back with lots of sunbeds and tables, cant figure out why many people didn't use it but was quiet and suited us. On top of the hotel were 3 Jacuzzis with lots of beds and a bar, this was adults only which meant we only used it twice as the boys wanted to use the big pool. At the end of our stay the manager allowed us to keep our room for another few hours as being without a room would be a problem for our youngest son as it becomes crowded with everyone booking out/in the hotel. Thanks for that Alain. Thanks also to Julio for his patience helping me with the computer, boarding passes and lovely smile and presence around the hotel much appreciated. And thanks to Montse for her help and lovely smile also. A truly fantastic holiday and will be rebooking in the future. I would like to thank the staff
