Just got back from 2 weeks there. I was nervous as I started to read bad reviews and wondered what I had got myself into. As a keen traveller and someone who likes to stay in really nice hotels, as a budget hotel it was lovely. The rooms were clean and had big tv's and bathrooms. The beds were comfy. They could probably do with a bit of modernisation but it was nothing offensive. There was always someone on reception to help and order taxis. There is a shuttle bus that runs between the old town and the strip. Also to the 5* sister hotel you can use which is amazing. If you miss the bus a taxi to old town or the strip is about 4.5 Euros. If you don't want to be partying with loads of stag and hen dos then stick to the old town. The restaurants are great and good value for money. Loads for the kids to do but also liveky in a nice way. Lots of bars so there is so,etching for everyone but it's not in your face! You'll enjoy your stay here, although what let it down for me was the food. Typical European type of food so I would recommend eating out. It was much cheaper than I thought it would be and 10 times better than the hotel. There were some stag dos on the weekend but never heard anything from them. The pool is a bit small but ok for the kids and a bit of a dip if you can cope with how cold it is Wifi was also in the rooms which is great..la bit slow but better than nothing.

Cheap and cheerful hotel. We didn't expect too much as we didn't pay very much especially, when compared with other hotels of a similar rating. 1. There were no stag/hen groups while we were there. Hotel guests, mainly families with children. Late August. 2. Bring swim hats for the indoor pool. 3. Be prepared to queue for drinks, meals and the shuttle bus. (some were refused boarding due to lack of seats) . 4 The gym is not included in standard room bookings and is an extra charge of 5 Euros per session. 5. Do not expect speedy wifi - just about adequate in lounge area. 6. During high season - not everyone can sit round the pool. There is insufficient room. Beautiful quiet gardens at the back of the hotel. If you do get a space by the pool you will brush elbows with the person next to you. 7. The animation team are clearly working to a very tight budget. They are good but don't expect too much because of this point. 8. Chef is also clearly working to a tight budget - if you take this into consideration the food is excellent. Hot dishes mainly consist of cheaper cuts of meat - slow cooked but so flavoursome, cheaper sourced fish and many pulse based dishes. We tried all of them and they were delicious. You will be able to find something even for the fussy eater. 9. You have to pay extra to use the room safe. 10. Offers on beauty treatments were excellent - beautifully applied shellac nails for only 15 euros. 11. There are huge inconsistencies in the quality of service given by reception staff - some were outstanding and a couple were embarrassingly awful. I hovered around and waited until the good ones became free to serve me. Hope this helps - its what I would have wanted to know.
