We had a girly holiday for a week, arriving late on the 17th May. Check in was quick, got to our room to find it spotless and a great lay out. A short while later we had a knock on the door.. Some food and water was brought to us which was greatly appreciated and a nice gesture. We sunbathed on the grass area just away from the pool which suited us fine. Doors didn't open until 9am which stopped sun beds being reserved at silly 'o clock in the morning. Food was basic and probably the biggest let down but we are two fussy women. Having said that.. We always found something to eat! Entertainment was very hit and miss. The most enjoyable evening was the live music on Wednesday. Staff were all very friendly and an asset to the hotel. Yes there were stag and hen do's and it's hard to avoid them (believe me.. I would know!) however it's a well known location for groups to visit. They arrived for the weekend but can't really say that we experienced any trouble from them. We had a lovely week and managed to relax, which is exactly what we had hoped for. Overall I believe that you get what you pay for. We found a good deal with this hotel, would I return? For the right price, I probably would. Thank you for a fab week!

This may have been a 4 star hotel when built but it sadly needs major upgrading and maintenance in the pool, bar and restaurant areas. The rooms were big, nice bathroom and vdry clean , but the hotel is encouraging stag and hen trips and there were at least 5 of these while we were there for a week from 17th May. It was awful. Round the pool area there are chairs that are broken , beds that are broken and looks sad and neglected. In the restaurant again in desperate need of upgrading in particular the chairs . This is a hotel to go to if you are happy to put up with the bedlam and noise of rowdy stag trips and drunk guys in the dining room . Not a hotel for anyone who wants peace and quiet.

We booked a B&B premier room but on arrival were told we were All inclusive, sounded great. It wasn't as good as it seemed! To use the safes in your room you pay €25 deposit and €18.50 for the week for the safe key. I would recommend anyone to get a safe, although they should be free! One night we came home to find our balcony door left open, nothing was missing from the room but it could've been if it wasn't all in the safe! Breakfast was a bit of a shambles, food was disappointing, great if you want, bread, pastries, bacon, eggs and beans but as a gluten intolerant person I would've liked some fresh fruit salad, yogurts, and maybe an omelette station. We only had one meal in the restaurant as it was way too loud and unappealing . We never made it out to the pool either as it was frequented by large rowdy parties with obnoxious language. As for wifi, it was hit and miss in the room, worked ok if you sat on the corner of the bed and that was it. Rooms were cleaned daily, and water was left in the room for our arrival, also given a bottle of bubbly to celebrate a birthday from the hotel which was a nice gesture. A daily bottle of water would've been nice. Would I return to this hotel? Probably not. It's not a 4 star, it's very tired and dated. One other thing, our room constantly smelled of cigarette smoke even though we didn't smoke. Not sure if it was coming in through the air conditioning but it wasn't pleasant.

3rd day of our trip, the all inclusive food so far has been of good quality. The room is good and the one gripe we had with the air conditioning was repaired within the hour. The clientele is a mix between outright "Benidorm" type chavs and those that think they are too good to be there. We have only 1 gripe, the pool and area around it is too small with no where near enough subdeacons for the amount of rooms. I can only see this being worse in the height of summer. But as we are not sun worshippers it has not been a problem to us. The old town and the strip are both about a 20min walk away, so no concerns over that either. All in all a quality hotel at a reasonable price.
It may be cold, wet and grey in the UK, but the weather on Albufeira holidays couldn’t be more different. Summers are hot and dry and last right through until October, while winters are much milder than British ones. With so many great beaches around the area and great sunshine, your Albufeira holidays will be packed full of great memories.
