Location - Perfect location! 10 mins walk to the strip where you'll find clubs and bars mainly for people looking for a party, though you need to get a meal at El Rancho a great Steak house at the start of the strip, best steak I ever had! Or if your looking for more restaurants and more family/couple places you can get a train to the old town that stops beside candyland, 4euro all day ticket, runs till 00:40 or its a 20min walk along the beach from the hotel. Even though its close to the strip its nice and quiet at night at the hotel. Room - stayed in D block. Slightly outdated rooms to be honest but we didn't care cause we only used it to get showered in and sleep and sometimes to cool off during the day, the air con was great! Shower was good, nice and strong not like some places with low water pressure. The double bed is 2 singles put together. We had a partial view of the sea which was really nice to wake up to! Hotel - Had great facilities, 4 pools, 2 outdoors (the main pool went as deep as 12ft which was great) 1 indoors and a paddling pool for kids too. Plenty of sun loungers about so no need to rush down in morning and many different places to hang out around the hotel grounds. There was pool tables, table tennis, arcade games, mini golf, tennis court, football court, dart board and kids club. The view at the pool was amazing. The shop in the hotel seemed cheaper than others nearby the hotel which was good. We thought the food was good, breakfast was mostly the same everyday except kept changing between bacon & fried egg one day then sausages & scrabbled egg the next, but had everything else, range of cereals, yogurt, fruit juice, fruit, toast, mini croissants, breakfast cookies, breakfast swiss rolls, also had a panoramic view from restaurant. Lunch was same everyday but good range, pasta, chips, burgers, fresh veg/fruit, fish, pork, chicken, rice, ham slices, cheese, bread rolls, calamari and I'm sure I've missed out more. Dinner was similar but more effort put into it and really can't complain because there is so much to choose from and tasted good. Only difference was dessert, had ice cream, cheesecake, chocolate cake, jelly and more. The staff where all great too, very welcoming as were greeted with champagne and orange juice in reception, all staff helpful and friendly. Overall this hotel is for everyone and we had our best holiday here, Albuferia is a great place and the hotel was great, no complaints, only praise, Thank you! hopefully be back soon! :) Tips: Make sure you read the info page they give you at reception on arrival that has the pin code for the security gate at the back of the hotel for getting in off the beach. If you're going all inclusive make sure you don't miss out on the the great food in the old town. Definitely have to visit Casa da Fonte for the seafood and if you're willing to spend a bit go to Restuarante Tipico a Ruina best meal and service we've ever had! p.s no insects in rooms, had to throw that in as was suprising not to find any.

Have just returned from 10 day, break at the Auramar Beach Resort hotel, I Was there with my partner on an B&B basis. 12 - 22 June 2015 absolutely beautiful location, lovely grounds, very disappointed with the accommodation though, if it wasn't for the fact that the rooms were clean I would have complained, as you walk into the hotel reception you think this is good, until you open the door to your room, we were in D221, The hotel was very dated, the room had an old lamp which was faulty, The room had a kitchen with utensils but no kettle or hairdryer, we took our own. So remember to take these if you need them. When I booked we asked for a high floor, with a sea view. And was given the second floor on d block, we just about got a sea view due to a tree been in the way. The balcony had an air con unit stored in corner taking up half of the small space unfortunately for us it didn't get any sun either, so no chilling on balcony with cold drink in hand looking out to sea getting a tan which is something we love to do. However, there did appear to be some nicer rooms with large balconies. On a positive side, it was clean and the maids cleaned the rooms and changed towels each day, the grounds and pools where well maintained and stunning beach just a little walk down a steep uneven path with steps. We didn't go fully inclusive but b&b. breakfast was in the hotel restaurant which was served between 8-10am. There was a large choice on offer fruit, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cake, biscuits, sliced meats ,cheese, and fresh bread, boiled eggs, hot dogs, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, bacon, mushrooms, beans, selection of cereals, cold meats and, a selection of juices, coffees and tea, The restaurant has some beautiful views over the sea but dated in the 70s i think. I cannot comment on any other meals or the bars as we did not use them the location was very nice, we walked along the beach to Albufeira Old Town, and it took about 20 minutes. And it is a lovely walk. The old town had a lot of character with small streets, the hotel does offer a free bus service to town three times a day. However you have to be prepared to push your way onto it going there & back, taxis were between 5 and 6 euros, back to the hotel as the free bus stopped at 4.35pm. Our room With a view was a bit crap with a tree blocking some of it? and With the crazy golf course below us, Anyway so we weren't that bothered. There was always hot water when we wanted a shower and the maids were in 7 days a week so the room was always clean. The hotel is in need of a refurbishment, but it is a three star, but to say you only sleep there you get what you pay for we also had work men on our floor rendering and painting most of our stay having to walk over sheets and dodge steps and paint pots, Free wifi is available in the reception, a little slow but working don't use the hotels pcs as they just gobble your euros, very slow and crap "

Just returned from this hotel after 8 days there the hotel is in great location overlooking the beach and about 10 minute walk to strip our room was nice and balcony had good view the cleaners didnt do much made beds didnt change sheets whilst we was there towels were changed regularly tho. The food was good but got bit repetitive after about 5 days and i can see why previous reviews say its like school dinners lunchtime especially was like this we ate out couple of times the AI drink was good but coke and soft drinks were flat but not a problem to us.The staff arent very friendly and need to learn to smile a bit more there was a couple that was friendly gus was lovely and made us welcome cleaners were bit miserable tho.We found the other guests quite rude especially germans who took parasol from our sunbeds and had 3 sunbeds and 2 parasols for 2 people we did meet some nice people as well quite a few hen parties there but no problem with them. I enjoyed my stay here and liked albufeira but probably wouldnt return to this hotel although its lovely and great pool area its just the unfriendly staff and the other rude holidaymakers that spoil it shame really cos could be great hotel and is good value
It may be cold, wet and grey in the UK, but the weather on Albufeira holidays couldn’t be more different. Summers are hot and dry and last right through until October, while winters are much milder than British ones. With so many great beaches around the area and great sunshine, your Albufeira holidays will be packed full of great memories.
