Meropi hotel is a very nice hotel. I went for the night life of malia and it matched every need. This was my first 3 star hotel as I always visit 4-5 star hotels and I thought it was brilliant! We went half board and there was always something to eat in the morning and evening, I'm a picky eater and I enjoyed the food. We went out for lunch, there's a lovely cafe right near the hotel we went to a couple of times. There's also subway and McDonald's on the strip. The room were great!! Miles enough room for me and my friend. The wifi is free where you have to get a new slip everyday. For all the young guests I know this is important! We was able to get a weak signal in our room but always got signal around the pool. We was always able to find a sun lounger and the pools were lovely. The staff were always very welcoming!! The night life of malia is very good! It doesn't get busy on the strip until around midnight. As you come out the hotel and turn left, you have a 5 minute walk to the strip. It isn't on the strip which I thought was good as you aren't constantly in the busy areas. Thank you Meropi!

Last nite today at this hotel. And after a troubled start I can say that we have enjoyed our week. I was with my 18 year old grandaughter I myself was a last minute standby. As she should have been with a friend. I can say that we have a one bed apartment which is lovely. Mountain views to the side and pool view to the front. At first we had trouble with the fridge it froze everything you put in it. After 2days this was changed. Also the bath jets had black bits coming out of it. After we run it for a few hours it was ok. I might point out that we are the only two British people here. The rest are families mostly German French and Dutch. This has not affected us in the least we are greeted by them all. The food is good but mostly same as every all inclusive. Drinks included don't include any sprits apart from ozo and Raki. The barman Elvis is so funny he works very hard and makes really good cocktails. All the staff and management have been very friendly. We are not going home until 8.20 tonite paid 30 euros to keep the room and they are giving us dinner on the house before we go. Don't think this is a place for youngsters looking for a party Hoilday as there is not any party atmosphere in the bar apart from Elvis that is. Only two pools were open as only about 25 guests here when we arrived. More here now. The two pools open were bloody freezing to get in but ok once u r in. I would def come back. If you come to this hotel be sure to vist Bruno in Chubby Whites and say nan sent you. Also cocktails from the bar oppersite does buy one at 6euro get one half price. Really worth a visit. Very clean cleaners come every day don't dust though.
We wer told before we went because we wre British we wernt welcome ... What a load of crap ...!!! We had a fab time the staff wer so lovely xxx not a single bad day there xxx we have traveled the...

Just perfect, everything from A-Z. Clean, comfortable, amazing staff, great variety of very tasty food. I stayed at Meropi for 3 nights in October. Despite being the end of the season the staff were absolutely great, caring. I can recommend Meropi to anybody!!
Malia enjoys a typically beautiful Mediterranean climate with long, hot summers and mild winters. June to September are the most popular times to go on Crete holidays because of the ideal sunny weather; at their peak temperatures can reach 40° Celsius, which is perfect for working on your tan!
Spring is fresh and lovely, with colourful bursts of wild flowers scattered across the countryside while autumn is pleasantly peaceful. In the winter the weather in Crete can be wet and sometimes cooler with occasional rain showers.
All travellers are advised to ensure that tetanus and polio vaccinations are kept up to date. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from all travellers over one year of age coming from infected areas.
