Couldn't fault any of our stay. lovely owners and staff room was more than adequate for our holiday. ... not easy to find at three in the morning coach driver got lost so what chance had we .. definitely go back sooner than later
Just back from our second holiday in Elounda at the Sunrise Apartments. Once again we had a fantastic time. Giannis, Dimos, Lynne and Peter and all the staff and family made us feel very welcome back and looked after all our needs. Lynne went that extra mile for my father-in-law, late night shopping to get him a cafetiere for his morning coffee! Won't hesitate to book again. Days on the beach, each night at a different restaurant, with afternoon beers at the pool bar - perfect!
Visited for a week in October. We stayed in the family apartment with direct access to the pool and beach bar. If you are looking for five star luxury you should look elsewhere. If however you are looking for a clean, well equipped apartment in a stunning location in a beautiful little resort, then this is the place. The owners and staff are very welcoming and made our stay very relaxing. Will look forward to returning some time soon.
located a few feet from the waters edge, we crossed the road and swam in the bay a couple of times. This is our 3rd visit to the greek Islands this year and the little extras (at no extra cost) provided at the sunrise meant such a lot, e.g. Hair dryers, beach towels. There are various standards of rooms here from basic to luxury. The little cafe with beautiful views is friendly, thanks to Lynne and reasonably priced, lovely coffee. Top tip book direct with the owners and receive free aircon and safe. The owners can't do enough to make your stay a happy one. Last but not least thanks to Pete who helped make our holiday providing us(at no extra cost)with valuable local info.he couldn't do enough for us. We are hoping to return to return here, as do many others, book early
Elounda enjoys an exceptional climate with very hot summers; the popular holiday months from June to September can see temperatures reaching 40° Celsius. Sheltered in Mirabello Bay, the water here is great for swimming and is pleasantly warm right through to October.
Spring is very pretty with bursts of wild flowers along the coast, and autumn is tranquil as the resorts wind down. The winter here is reasonably mild, but there can be periods of cold weather and rain.
All travellers are advised to ensure that tetanus and polio vaccinations are kept up to date. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from all travellers over one year of age coming from infected areas.
