Having booked up quite late (probably about 2 months before we wanted to go) we definitely thought we'd settled for "it'll do" rather than anything spectacular or particularly pleasing. However, we were very surprised! We were promptly checked in to the hotel, even though we arrived an hour after reception closed, and shown to a pretty decent room with the basics, all in good condition and all enough for the holiday we wanted. Hotel was right at the start of the strip, surrounded by restaurants, bars and clubs and although has a pool is actually right on the beach too, which was a big bonus as on previous holidays I've had issues finding the beach from a hotel! Although it is definitely a hotel for people wanting to make the most of the bars and clubs, it was actually quite a peaceful and quiet hotel during the day, well run with staff who cared about the hotel and wanted it to be a good experience for all! The pool and surrounding areas were also lovely and clean and you could tell a lot of effort has gone into the presentation of these areas, and there was never any competition for sun loungers or pool space which was a big bonus! Do not have one complaint about it and thought it was a gem to have found! Very impressed!

I came to Kavos for your typical teen end-of-exams boozy holiday so we (group of 5) were not expecting much from the hotel. I just saw it as a place to sleep and shower not really to luxuriate. To perfectly sum it all up, you get exactly what you paid for and lovely staff. We were first greeted by Martina (Hotel manager) at the reception and told that we had to pay 30 EUR each for the AC, sunbeds and pool which was a bit of a surprise as this was not previously mentioned by our travel agent and was a bit annoying but we paid it anyway, I don't think there was really a choice to be honest it seemed like a mandatory payment. Anyway rooms were clean, I was in a room of 3 and although it was a bit tight getting to the balcony, the size of the room was decent for 3 people. The bathroom was managable. Our shower was very very low pressure so the water didn't come out very forcefully which was again very annoying. The toilet was very loud and moaned on for ages after using it but that's me being persnickety. The cleaners came everyday with new toilet paper and tidied up the rooms very well and were very nice. The overall hotel in my opinion is NO DOUBT a hub for young people looking for a boozed filled holiday. At around 10pm the music starts playing, the drinking starts and people start getting loud. You can physically feel the energy pick up as people start to get ready for a night on the strip. So I don't recommend Lemon grove for families, especially with young children around this time of year. Its very close to watersports and the beach so that is great and very close to restaurants but far enough away from the strip to get a good nights rest once all the young partyers have left. The pool again is very nice but again there are young people who drink by the pool and leave a lot of mess (cans, cigarettes ballons) so its not really a child friendly environment, but great for young people. Warning, there is no wifi or internet access and there is no restaurant in the hotel. For breakfast, we were given tickets and directed to a restaurant opposite the hotel called Big Max's lovely people, good food and WiFi! Its perfect for a young person holiday but not so much for rest and relaxation more a place to recover from a hangover

11 us of stayed in the lemon grove (lads) and it couldn't have been a better hotel to suit our needs. After looking at the reviews prior to the holiday we were skeptical, but those reviews couldn't have painted a less truthful picture. The rooms were clean, everything worked and although the kitchen and bathroom were suspect, there was certainly nothing majorly wrong with them. The hotel owner (Alex) was an absolute legend, as he completely understood that we were a group of lads on our holiday and were going to be rowdy - only charged us fair prices when we broke things and was on our side against the Greek police. People complain due to the lack of restaurant and bar, but this meant that we were the only hotel who could bring our own food and drinks round the pool, meaning that we didn't spend much money and could bring things from the supermarket over the road. We also got discount in the restaurant over the road because Alex owned it, and our location was just at the start of the strip. Absolute lads holiday heaven if you're not expecting the Ritz.

My friends and I stayed here on a girls holiday from 1st July to the 8th July. After reading all the reviews before we set off we were not quite sure what to expect. However the hotel was above and beyond what I was expecting, Yes the washing facilities and cooking facilities are basic. But we were not expecting the Ritz ,the rooms were cleaned on a baily basis with our sheets being changed everyday. all the staff are polite and willing to help with any problems. The pool and its surrounding areas were clean and well maintained, the hotel is set back slightly from the beach and right at the end of the strip, so its in the prime location to walk to but further enough away that's its quite. Overall If a girls holiday on a budget to kavos is what your looking I would definitely recommend the Lemon Grove for your trip.
