Visited this hotel in February and was a little bit wary after reading negative reviews. I needn't have worried. I would say that a lot of the reviews are unfair. The hotel is a 3 star, not 5 star. They charge 3 star prices... What on earth do people expect? Our party of 4 had two adjoining rooms, Yes, they were a little bit tired... 3 star remember!. Spotlessly clean, towels changed every second day, bed linen changed once during our seven days. Have stayed in higher rated hotels (and paid the higher cost) and did not receive any more than that. Food in restaurant was absolutely fine, even the particularly fussy eater in our party was suited. We had assumed that we would have to eat out in the evening after reading reviews but ended up not doing so. We were all inclusive and felt we received good value for money. The hotel is in a great location in the resort. Near lots of great bars, beach etc and we would have no hesitation in booking a return trip.

This is a three star hotel which caters to the all inclusive market. It is in need of updating as the decor looks as if it is firmly rooted in the 70s. To be fair I have stayed in worse 4 star hotels and in better 2 star establishments. Food wise it is fairly good. Just don't expect Michelin star type cuisine. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel suffers from a lack of air conditioning which can leave you struggling to sleep on a very warm evening. It doesn't even offer the use of a fan. Under no circumstances should pay the fee for WiFi. The hotel asked for €20 for a weeks access. This is per person so if you have 3 people in your room that would be €60. Sadly I only managed to get a download speed of 0.10mb. That is 1/10th of a megabit. After complaining to the management I got a full refund. You are better off getting an add on to you mobile phone data plan. It is cheaper and faster. I managed to get 3mb thus way. Other things you have to pay for include a safe key of €10 for the week and you also have to put money into a meter for the TV to work. This is a no frills hotel on a particular with Ryanair. You get what you pay for. This includes all alcoholic drinks and a certain amount of noisy idiots who don't know how to hold their alcohol. Would I stay here again? Maybe. But certainly not in the high season when it is full of drunken brawling lunatics out to get as pissed as possible. That is a quote from a local tour guide. The staff are friendly. Local amenities are great and above all it is cheap.
Had an enjoyable week with my partner at Las Piramides. Place was spotless.food was good, Would stay again. The staff are friendly and helpful. No complaints from me then again I paid lemonade price...

First impressions count , oh well that's this place out of the window then , entrance hall under lit and seemed as a result underwelcoming . The place looks like a 1960s tower block or jail from the outside . Having looked at older pictures of this place , it would seem it has fallen on hard times . In some ways so nearly almost right and in others it seems it shouldn't still be open . The dining area is like a multi storey car park and has as much atmosphere . The food ! Well I don't think Jamie Oliver's 15 restaurants have anything to fear . The Thompson rep told me they were pulling out of this particular establishment for next season . It is a shame because most of the staff were really helpful and friendly , so you could see what this place had potential to be . Amusements by the pool didn't all work , sunbeds were dirty to a point it was obvious they probably had not been washed since they were new . Refrigerator in our room had rusty casings . At the time of our stay it seemed they were doing building work to make this a 4 storey property and from what I could see it seemed superior accommodation to that presently supplied on levels 1 to 3 . All in all it was just little things that spoiled it , unfortunately there were a lot of little things wrong . Some were just fundamental to running a hospitality establishment , such as being bright and inviting , I could not say the place was dirty , but somehow it didn't seem clean either . At the moment this is one to avoid . If you want good budget accommodation then go to Playa Olid in Fanabe , this proves you can be inexpensive and still be a nice place to spend your vacation .
There's little rain here except for the odd shower in winter, and it's permanently humid: 17° Celsius on average at New Year compared with temperatures in the late 20s° Celsius by the summer apex. The water temperature is also constantly warm, and fresh Atlantic breezes stave off any oppressive heat.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
