We stayed couple of days at the coast of Costa Adeje. + We arrived at 12:15: a quarter after the check-in-time. Even though I admit this is still an earlier arrive, the hotel-room was not ready. We were offered a free cup of coffee, or tea in the bar while our room was finished. In 15 minutes it was ready. Good service. + We did not have an all-inclusive stay, but only an inclusive breakfast. Breakfast is very big and enough choices for everybody. Taste was overall quite good. + Different from other all-inclusive hotels, in this hotel they clearly spent time to prevent the customer to feel as part of the bulk: separate swimming-pools, enough sunbeds (in general even too much!) and spreaded equally over the space. + Reception was always happy and open to help with any question we had. + Some shops and excursion-information were available in the hotel. It was easy to get some additional informations and or products. + Hotel is continuously busy with renovation. I see this as positive thing. A big hotel always needs maintenance and it shows the drive of optimization of the customer-circumstances. + Boulevard i very nice to walk. - Beach is quite some distance walking down the hill. For us this was not a big problem, however for less experienced walkers it might be a more intensive walk. Especially if you also want to have a walk afterward along the boulevard. - They had quite some Dutch trainees at the reception. Even though I'm Dutch and it is nice to speak in your language, it somehow did not always give me the right holiday-spirit. Somehow speaking a foreign language gives you this extra holiday-spirit. But I realize, this is a personal thing and not hotel-related. - The hotel managed in general very good to avoid the crowdy and massive feeling of an all-inclusive hotel. However they did not manage to avoid this in the evening-programs. It was not possible to avoid the crowd and loud music in the center-hall. Not enough of nice seats nearby the "show" (especially with good view --> half of seats are behind the pillars of the building)

Ok so i had read many reviews before i went to the costa adeje gran hotel which really confused me, there were so many good reviews with the odd very bad review, so here is my true opinion. I found the whole experience amazing, the staff could not do enough for you, always happy, we stayed bed and breakfast and food was lovely, the pools were amazingly spotless and the no reserving sunbed rule really was great although after lunch time it was a struggle to get a bed, rooms were beautiful and beds were made fresh each day, maids did a grand job, all in all we loved it. If i had to nit pick at anything i would say the guest beds really could do with making a little more comfortable and having to stand and wait at a ice cream freezer to be unlocked by already very busy staff was a little annoy DO NOT LISTEN TO THE MOANERS.

This is a good quality hotel but it is not a 5 star hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was fairly good with a wide choice, although the restaurant never opened once, on time, during my two week stay. The roof top pool was quiet and relaxing. The evening entertainment was ok, but my biggest complaint would be the service at the main bar, where there were plenty of bar staff, but they only seemed to serve people standing in the one area of the bar. I would also like to know why I had to pay a single supplement of almost £500 - I don't know whether this was applied by the hotel, the tour operator or both.

Fab hotel with an amazing adults only pool and bar on the roof. Sunbeds were a little crammed in! Nudist area on the roof if you are that way inclined which stopped the topless sunbathers ruining the back drop of your photos! Great food selection and nice spacious hotel. Air conditioning wasn't great but dos the job. Lobby bar staff need replacing. Everything seems too much trouble for them and chose to take your order then ignore you while doing the next persons drinks. I thought this was as they were giving preferential treatment to paying guests rather than all inclusive. It turns out this wasn't the case as I returned a few months later to have a drink at the bar as a paying visitor and the same thing happened! Nice location, however it seems that this hotel is going to be overshadowed by some new elaborate looking hotels which are currently being built. Fantastic views and beach walks of you walk directly to the beach and turn right. Recommend the little train that runs every hour from the fanabe hotel which is a two minute walk to the left of the hotel. Rooms are a good size.
