Good clean room although no notice of our request was taken instead of next to each other our two rooms were in separate buildings. Food repetitive but ok. Not enough bars open for the amount of people staying there. Would not go back here again but wasn't as bad as some of the reviews read about earlier. I wouldn't allow a child to go to the kids club as I took my 2 year old granddaughter and stayed with her. One of the other children wanted to go back to her parents so the member of staff told me she had to take her to her mom, left me with the other children whilst she disappeared off for 5 minutes I complained when she came back and said I wasn't responsible for the other children in the club she didn't seem bothered. I said I wasn't insured and she didn't know me from Adam. She said there was normally 2 staff but one off sick in that case the club shouldn't have opened. Hence we didn't use the club again. Be careful if you leave your children there.

Unfriendly personnel, terrible food, air conditioning wasn't functioning when we arrived and only after calling to the reception over 10 times they came to fix it (24 hours after we arrived in 38 degrees Celsius). Palma bay club is enormous, but has limited sun beds and the swimming pools are of medium size. If you want to lay near the pool, please make sure you lay your towel there by 8 am. Thereby, the location el arenal is the worst. Wouldn't recommend this visit to anyone.

I would actually give this place a 2 and a half .... Check in was quick and we was shown on a map how to get to our building. It was a bit of a nightmare in the dark through the crowds of people. The room was dated (acapoco block) but spacious enough. The room wasn't cleaned properly for the 10 days that we stayed. Yes you had to get up early for a sunbed but that's pretty standard anywhere that you go. There is only one pool really that is suitable for children as the others are too deep. The food was pretty good, buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. For lunch we went to the Pizza Hut or the BBQ. Again this was good. Dinner was again buffet style in the restaurant, part way through we got 'upgraded' to the copacobana restaurant where there was show cooking, the food was fresh and tasty. Soft drinks were available from machines and yes you can only get 2 alcoholic drinks at a time but that's not really an issue as how many drinks can you drink at one time. There was groups of German/Dutch youngsters but there wasn't really any issues with them throughout our stay. Would I stay again? No defiantly not but I have to say it was good value but the holiday companies are selling it as a 3* and that it certainly isn't
