Built around 1995 with about 150 rooms the hotel is reasonably well maintained and recently painted. It sits between a long sandy beach and a nature reserve. We hired a car from the airport - about a 50 minute drive to the hotel. Although relatively modern, the hotel feels in parts more classic due to the interior design - not to my taste and scruffy in parts (like rows of plants in brown pots in the corridor). The beach is touristy - lots of beds and kids building sandcastles. Early morning walks are great when it is still peaceful. The nature reserve is open from 9am to 5pm. Some rooms are near to the busy road - not ours which was very quite (suite 3006). Staff at the hotel were great. Extremely friendly and professional. Water is hot. Beds are very good. Sun beds at the pool were the best I've seen. Pillows too soft for my liking so ordered and got firmer pillows. We had a suite with two bathrooms (!) This was simply two normal large rooms with the wall knocked through. All very pleasant and I would recommend the suite if it fits your budget. Food was excellent. Fresh produce. Well prepared. Request a capuccino with the breakfast as the normal coffee is stewed. The hotel caters mostly to a German clientele (90%) and the dinner times are adjusted accordingly. We like to eat late and were often the last ones in the restaurant which closes at 21.30. So what's not to like: mosquitos - lots of them. I guess from the nature reserve. The local pharmacy does a roaring trade in creams and pills. We were bitten over 20 times each in six days. Other mild frustration is the rather small garden area. There were enough sun beds and the pool is OK, but the green areas were cramped. Some of the reviews are very enthusiastic about this hotel. For me it was good but not amazing.

As many of you know Playa de Muro is one of the most amazing beaches in Europe - clear and shallow turqoise waters, white sandy beach, really warm sea, what else to expect... The hotel was quiet and really clean, has a great pool, every evening mini disco for kids, then great show for adults (especially La Bohéme - amazing!!!) , great animation team (Justinka and Frida)... What we appreciated a lot that the hotel lends beach toys, float boats, swim diapers...

What a wonderful hotel! This is one of those finds that one always hopes for and even better. I do not know where to start to say how much we all enjoyed staying at this hotel for a week. The rooms are wonderful, clean, spacious, and ideal for a relaxing holiday with the family. The food is simply superb, with so much choice and to a high quality. I especially appreciated the egg counter, with omelettes cooked while you watch. The gala night also had a table of sushi being freshly made. The buffet at dinner is supported too by an option of menu choices, which over our stay included ostrich, deer, rabbit, veal, and a variety of excellent fish. The staff and management and reception were all very attentive and always so pleased to help. The rooms are very good at protecting from external noise including the evening entertainment, which always ended at a sensible time too, although there is a minimum of internal noise and thin walls but not enough to disturb unduly. The bathrooms are very good although the bath is rather petite and the toilets needed some minor maintenance but for all practical purposes were fine and well equipped. Roomy covered balconies included seats, a sunbed, and a clothing drying area. This is an excellent hotel in a finer part of Majorca right on the beach, which is slowly shelving, sandy and clean, and great for a family to enjoy with buckets and spades. I doubt there is anywhere better to go of this class by the beach on the island, and the pools were almost our own throughout, with sensible policy about towels on sunbeds, and drinks service much of the day. The spa pool and facilities are a treat too, and somewhere to go if the weather breaks for a while. The bistro near the beach means that one could stay at the hotel all day every day, but our trip out to old town Alcudia by a short taxi ride was good too and the hotel recommended an enjoyable central restaurant. A short walk to the left of the hotel one finds a convenient supermarket, and further on there are pony rides for children. Transfers organised by the hotel were excellent and on time, and although they say 60mins for Palma airport were actually closer to 45mins. It is a real pleasure to write this and to be pleased to give full marks, also especially to thank the staff and management who clearly put every effort into making our stay very special indeed. Our extended family of all ages did not want to leave. In summary, this hotel is definitely entirely recommended.

Arrived to a lovely welcome, upgraded up free of charge just as a nice ! Service fantastic , room great has good English channels . Shops a short walk. Food amazing . Entertainment was ok. The only thing letting it down was no lunch really available unless you go to the little restraint which has great views next to pool but not good selection really and quite pricey. The beach was lovely and the spa fantastic! The lady from Switzerland is the best masseuse! Would visit again though as a really nice experience the pool is also lovely and never a struggle for. Sun lounger
No need for warm clothes on holidays in Alcudia! In the summer you can expect hot, dry weather with temperatures regularly reaching 30° Celsius and above. The delightful sea breeze will keep hot days from becoming unpleasant so that when you are relaxing on the beach all you need is sun cream and a cool drink and you're good to go.
If you're not too fond of the sun, you would be best visiting Alcudia in the winter months as it is quite mild. However, you should be aware that Majorca does experience some irregular rainfall in the winter period.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
