If you’re looking to spend the day on a blue flag beach with local amenities nearby, Playa de Levante is Benidorm’s main beach with plenty of space for everyone. Over in Calpe, Playa de la Fossa is a calmer shore with a lovely selection of restaurants on the beachfront, popular with families. If you’re a snorkel or diving enthusiast, Cala del Moraig is a quaint rocky cove, great for relaxing and exploring the sea life.

Tapas, fresh seafood and paella are the must-try dishes which can be found at most traditional Spanish restaurants all over the region. For those who don’t like to step out of their comfort zone, Benidorm is the place to be for the full English breakfasts and the fish and chips.

Nightlife

Home to the beloved Benidorm, Costa Blanca is not short of buzzing nightlife. With a sea of bars and pubs to choose from, Benidorm is the hotspot for a fun night out. The wilder venues are located around Levante Beach, more specifically on Calle Gerona, but if you’re after a more laid back night out, the Old Town holds a great selection of chilled out bars and pubs. Although Benidorm is the obvious choice for nightlife, Alicante also features a prominent party scene with nightclubs, terraces and bars open to the early hours of the morning.
