Flights to Cyprus

There is no wrong time to go on Cyprus holidays. It’s truly a year-round destination. The weather is gloriously hot in the summer, and only cools by about ten degrees even in the middle of winter, so it’s a great destination for winter sun holidays.

Cheap flights to Cyprus are available year round, although the cheapest Cyprus flights will be off season. The peak season is, as with all Mediterranean countries, the summer months of June, July and August. This is when most people head to Cyprus, so Cyprus flights and accommodation will be somewhat more expensive during these months. Spring and autumn are arguably better times to head to Cyprus, as flights and hotels in Cyprus will be cheaper, and the weather, while still very warm, will never be uncomfortably hot.

The “rainy season” runs from November to March, but averages only 8 days of rain per month, and when you consider that Cyprus boasts 240 days of sunshine per year, the term “rainy season” seems somewhat unjustified! Not only will you find the cheapest flights and hotels in Cyprus during this time; the island will be much quieter too, so you could well end up with your dream holiday at half the cost.

Flights to Cyprus from the UK depart from most major airports, including Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Stansted, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Belfast and more. Flight time from the UK to Cyprus is around 5 hours, and flights arrive at Paphos International Airport, in a town said to be the birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, so as you can imagine, Cyprus, and Paphos in particular, is a very popular destination for romantic breaks.
