Barcelona City is the beating heart of Barcelona think Gothic Quarter cobbles, Gaudí's jaw-dropping landmarks, and rooftop bars with views that'll have you reaching for your camera every five seconds. If you want to wake up, walk out of your hotel and end up wandering Las Ramblas, tapas-hopping through El Born, or catching sunset on Barceloneta Beach then this is where you want to be staying. Prefer something a bit quieter (or better value?) We've also got hotels further away from the centre in Hospitalet De Llobregat (handy for the airport and Montjuïc) and Barcelona Province (more suburban, great for day trips into the city).
Good to Know
☀️ Weather: Over 2,500 hours of sunshine a year with summer highs around 28-30°C – perfect for exploring without melting.
💶 Prices: Around €3-4 for a pint and €15-20 for a decent meal out – not bad for a city this stunning.
🎭 Fun fact: La Sagrada Familia has been under construction since 1882 – that's over 140 years of scaffolding – and is finally set to be completed in 2026.
