Frankfurt’s centre is compact: the Old Town on the north bank of the Main, Sachsenhausen and most of the museums across the river, the station quarter to the west and the Messe trade fair beyond it. Which hotels are closest to Frankfurt’s Old Town?
The rebuilt Old Town, the Romerberg square, the Zeil shopping street and the Alte Oper are all here.

Where should you stay by the river and in Sachsenhausen?
The Main splits the centre in two, with most of the museums on the south bank and Sachsenhausen’s apple wine taverns just behind them.

Where should you stay near Frankfurt’s main station?
The station quarter is the quickest hop from the airport, and it’s full of bars and places to eat.

Is the Messe a good place to stay in Frankfurt?
Yes, especially if you’re in town for the trade fair or a concert at the Festhalle, and the Europaviertel’s towers give you the skyline from the inside.
