Currently sat in the dining area of Lagos Taurito when I decided to look at the reviews for the place...the person who reviewed 2 stars on the 30th June is quite obviously one of those people who will be looking to complain no matter what. For a start they complain about the "2 hour" transfer which is a blatant exaggeration. We were the last drop off on ours and it was just over and hour....they then go on to pretty much state when they got to the room they checked locks and stripped the mattresses back so they could check how old they were, rooms old and dated? It's three stars and works out around £50 a day which includes three meals and unlimited drinks for goodness sake....then the complaint about entertainment going on till the terribly late 11pm...well at this point I'm in hysterics reading it, and in tears? really? I think someone is in an emotional disposition... Onto my review...me and my fiancée have come here with my mother and father in law and brothers and sister in laws and nieces and nephews and we've had a great time. We payed £1400 all inclusive for the two of us and I honestly cannot imagine being able to get anywhere better value for money. Admittedly if you have no kids with you its probably not for you but you would surely be aware of that if you do your research. Food was good, water park great (admittedly water is salty), basically you get what you pay for and its value.

Transfer: 2 hours due to so many drop offs.. So dont expect the 50 minute advertised! We were pretty much kicked off the coach, and not shown where to go... Once in reception, it was obvious a major disaster had occurred... There was water everywhere, once checked in we were advised the hotel pool was closed and wouldn't be open for another week!! ( the water everywhere) We were checked in by someone who was obviously bored, and didn't want to be there. Once in our room, I cried a thousand tears!! It was old, small and very out dated. There wasn't even a kettle!!! The patio door didn't lock the safe was jammed and the bathroom window didn't lock, to which we informed reception immediately. We dumped our bags and went straight for tea, which was good, tasty and a lovely selection for all. We went straight back to the room to sleep as we had been on the go since 3am. Sleep??? Nooooo Mostly because our room was right above the outside entertainment area... More tears and no volume control from the staff, it went on till 11pm.... So after a crap night sleep on 20year old beds, and 40 year old mattresses, we got up and tried to be positive. Breakfast was good (note food good) and plodded to the water park with our newly bought inflatables. Well, what can I say, sea water..... NOT..... jesus, we were getting high on the chemicals in the water... Goggles did not help as the fumes and pure strength of the water got up our noses.... More tears....... Got back to the room after a boring day, safe was fixed, nothing else. The pool was fixed on the 3rd day, so we finally got some peace and met some other english people. In the end we had to pay for an upgrade to get away from the noise, they put us at the other end of the hotel, but it was still noisy, so if you have young kids and don't want to sit in the entertainment every night, be prepared for german TV and No sleep till 11. Our second week was half term.... Never again... Not if you want to get up at 6 every morning to get a sunbed by the very small pool!! No inflatables in the pool ( not when the lifeguard is there) or when he can be bothered to watch. Although noisy, the entertainment and animation team were good, The food was good, everything else was utterly disappointing, and we wont go back.... ever... nope not ever. Weather was good (very hot some days) The beach was nice and spend the last 2 days down there. The shops were good, had everything you would need. Local busses easy to catch, and the taxi's werent as expensive as rumored.... We only did one trip out, we did the quads over the mountains - good fun, but if your of a nervous disposition, don't!!!

Hi. We have just arrived home from hotel lago taurito. I must say it's been a pleasure to stay there. My children absolutely loved it. There's so much for the children to do. The only downfall was the bland food. After the second day I wasn't excited to eat anymore. It's great for the kids though. Must state that there where cockroaches here even in the dining area. Also all around the hotel.i would find one 😩 the staff here were great and the entertainment was too. All in all had a good stay. I would recommend this hotel to others with children

We are a family of four, from scandinavia. We had nine fantastic days at the "Hotel Paradise Lago Taurito - All Inclusive". If you are a family with small children. this i the perfect place, because you never need to leave the resort, everything you need is right there. Our children are 9 and 14 and they had the time of there life. The resort is placed in a small valley. nothing much to see. The mountains around are not that beautiful, mostly desert rocks. but the beach is good. We had a rental car trough out the stay "It is cheap to rent a car in Gran Canaria", so we drove around and saw more of the island "the roads in Gran Canaria are superb". The food was outstanding. The best all inclusive food that I have ever seen. Free soda for the kids, and beer, white, red, and rose vine for us :) I could actually also recommend this resort for couples without kids, it is very romantic. But if you are thinking about party all night long, this is not the place. There is not a soul awake after midnight.
