Don't worry about all the negative reviews - we returned just a few days ago and would love to go back again. We were a family party of 14 ranging in ages from 9 to 50. The hotel was spotless and there were plenty of activities to keep the adults and children amused/entertained. I am a very fussy eater and always found something every day that I liked to eat, although chilled milk for the breakfast cereal would have been better and also a bit more variety of fruit. The all inclusive drinks were the best we have had on any all inclusive holiday but beware the measures are large. The downside of both evening bars - Flamingo Bar and the Arena Bar are there are not enough staff serving and no logic to the order they serve people, sometimes you had to wait for ages to get any drinks but a special big thank you to Constantine in the Pool Bar who always had a smile for you no matter how much pressure he was under - he is a big asset to the hotel. Another thank you to the animation team who work their socks off each day encouraging everyone to join in with the games and classes - thank you Vicky I loved all your exercise classes including Pilates. We had a family room which is very spacious and had a fabulous sized balcony but not enough storage space for the four of us but a little tip about the towels in your room - if you want them changed daily don't hang them up to dry just put them into the bath otherwise you don't seem to get the changed. The waterpark is excellent if you don't mind the salt water but my kids said it was too salty so we only used it once. The pool at the hotel is a bit small but our kids didn't mind this and spent a lot of time in it. If you are looking for somewhere to go outside the hotel then Porto Mogan is worth a visit and is only between 6 and 7 euros in a taxi and try the dolphin trip on the catamaran what a brilliant day out. All in all we had a super holiday so go and enjoy yourselves and ignore the people who don't know how to enjoy themselves.

I'm here now with 3 girls aged 10,9 and 8. Before arriving I must admit I had reservations regarding certain aspects of this hotel but I have been pleasantly surprised and my fears allayed. Transfer time from airport is approx 30/40 mins, you're the last drop off at this hotel. Checkin was effortless, 5 minutes tops. I cannot complain about our accommodation at all, room is clean and beds are comfortable and comprise of 2 single beds in the bedroom and 1 camp bed style bed and a double sofa bed in the living area, please be advised you have a fridge in your room but this will not be stocked with the obligatory water and fizzy drinks that you receive in most all inclusive hotels, I feel this is one of the things that puts this hotel firmly in the 3* catagory. Mealtimes are a free for all, you have to find a table and then help yourself to the buffet, the food can be repetitive but you would have to be extremely fussy not to find something you liked. We have split ourselves between the very small hotel pool, (get up around 7 for a sunbed and parasol (be prepared to be packed In sardines) the waterpark and the beach. The waterpark is free and you do not have to queue, you can simply walk straight in. The sunbeds in the waterpark are free but if you want a parasol they cost €2 for the day, try to avoid the waterpark on Sat and Sun as it gets packed to the rafters with locals enjoying their day off, it is so much quieter in the week. We do not pay for drinks and food in the waterpark we walk up to our hotel bar when the kids want food and drinks and bring them back into the waterpark (no one seems to mind.) The beach is lovely ( if you don't mind black sand) the sun loungers are €8 so we only take our kids down to play in the sea late afternoon as it could be quite expensive hiring 5 beds. This hotel has a lovely feel with a promenade lined with shops and there are so many things to keep the kids occupied such as Bowling, Go Karting and Crazy golf, all of these activities cost extra but again this is a 3* all inclusive. Trust me I am very fussy about the places I stay but this was only 1 of 2 all inclusive hotels under. £3,500 that would accommodate 5 people in one room so we took a chance and I have to say it's pretty good, your kids will have a fantastic holiday at this hotel.

Stayed at the lago taurito 06-07-15 for 2 weeks with wife and 11 year old son. Arrived at 11pm to check in and took about 5mins,asked if bar was serving drinks and was told all inclusive had finished but we could pay we were all inclusive....bit miffed but decided to go to bed.Arrived at breakfast to find bacon, hot dog sausages, fried eggs toast etc....not bad however some days food was cold, overall i would give breakfast 6/10.....Didnt eat dinner so cant comment......Tea..thank god for chips.....very poor choice and all 14 days food was the same...goat,pickled rabbit, pasta gratis, fried egg plant, salads, veg but cooked in some vile oil, great selection of fish but all bones in,personally i wouldnt feed it to pigs ,dessert same all 14 days, mousse, ice cream and cakes and jelly,Now for the all inclusive drinks.....Daytime cant fault, help yourself to juices and soft drinks waiter serves beer and spirits,Night time a joke,2 bars 1 outside where entertainment is and 1 inside.Outside bar all the time we were there no more than 3 serving, most of the time it was 2 and around 50-60 waiting some nights 20-30mins wait to be served and lager is warm.....no pint glasses just 1/3 of a pint small glass and 1/2 pint coke cups.Inside bar....1 serving but lager is freezing so bonus there but still same glasses and cups, although poor i must admit the waiters work their backsides off.Just before all inclusive finishes at 11pm everybody orders 6-7-8-9 drinks and regardless how long you hve been there 11.05 pm bar shuts, this in my opinion is totally wrong and needs sorting,The hotel room was spotless and cleaned everyday and maids were very pleasent,Kids entertainmet team second to non Ricardo and the team did not stop from morning till night and cant fault anything with them, infact if they run the hotel then perhaps it would be better...............So to sum up....Hotel location, activities for children, waterpark cant fault,Food and drink something has to be done be prepared to spend outside the hotel if you are all inclusive
