We stayed at this hotel for a week, and absolutely loved it. The hotel has all the main essentials, with a spa and nice pool areas. There are plenty chairs around the pool, and if you have the all-inclusive package, you are going to be positively surprised by the nice buffet. It changes every day, with different themes every night, and the staff if friendly and competent. I can really recommend this place, as the rooms are nice, light and clean too, with big terraces. The only downside is the location. Playa Del Ingles is really "touristy", with an awfully ugly downtown area, exemplifying some of the gruesome consistency (or lack of same!) spanish architecture has to show. If only this hotel was located in Puerto Rico or Arguineguin. Get a rental car an go see the other cities in the southern area.

Excellent hotel i loved the place, was reluctant to leave. I've stayed in numerous hotels around maspalomas and this is by far the best. Food was lovely and drinks were fab. Frozen strawberry daiquiri is a must thats all i drank the entire stay. Entertainment in the lounge was relaxing and tranquil. All you need for a relaxing quiet break without any children running around. Rooms were spacious we even had our own sun loungers on our balacony over looking the pool room 312. Free wifi even available from your room. Dressing gowns, slippers and flatscreen tv. Little kitchen area with tea and coffee facilities. Looks really modern and drinks are strong. Can't wait to go back. Free shuttle bus to the beach running 3/4 times a day. Short walk to yumbo centre and taxi only cheap. Recommend morgan market and moonlight cinema (roof top under the stars) which you can book from the thomas cook rep in the hotel.

Great friendly staff, lovely choice of food, a number of pools at points me and my bf were the only ones in our pool! (we went end of june peek time too!) can not fault this hotel at all, the rooms were very spacious and clean, the entertainment was relaxing, the cocktails where great. Playa del ingles was a lovely place to visit with great excursions and places to see. A lot of hotels in Playa del ingles were very built up and tall like huge flats, but sunprime is small, classy and should be rated a 5*

We stayed here for 2 weeks over New Year's. This was our 3rd stay at the Sunprime. The hotel didn't answer my prior e-mail nor did they give us a room in the section we requested. At check-in the lady wasn't willing to do any changes to this. The hotel had been refurbished with some painting been done on the building and suite balconies. New poolside seatings. Textiles were new in the suite and the bed new and very comfortable and of good quality. Bathroom tiling is new (white) and the walk-in shower is comfortable. Water power is great. Cleaning still includes washing the dishes. Fridge is the same - large and with freezing shelf for making ice cubes. Wifi is now free of charge in the entire hotel and worked flawlessly everywhere. No interruptions at all. Some staff members are still the same and most were very friendly. This is a great place for relaxing without noise and hustle. Pool area is still quite windy but they have added new seating close to the mini market with polyrattan divans and soft pillows. They are a bit warmer (as the cushions are dark) and very nice. Sunbeds are good and stylish but pool towels almost white and get easily dirty with sunscreen on your skin (replacement costs 2,50€ per towel). Room towels are replaced free of charge. Service is very good yet a bit reserved. The Spanish staff are happy to hear you speak some Spanish what I did frequently. The Swedish staff at reception assume everyone speaks Swedish as it's often the first language they address people with. One day the cleaning lady mistakenly broke a cosmetics bottle in our room and the hotel compensated this with free dinner for two which was very good customer service. Breakfast is good yet the same everyday. Good cold cuts. No fresh fruit smoothies anymore (only carrot and tomato juice we fresh, orange and tropical juice from machine but ok quality). Cava at breakfast on 1st of January. Welcome cava with information on the hotel (by the Swedish tour guides in Swedish). At breakfast the coffee is from machines with self service but including espresso, latte etc. Fresh fruits daily but the fresh fruit salad is canned fruit salad. Bread rolls fresh and a good variety. Spa is very nice for relaxing after a windy day (most days were really windy). We had calima (cool temp and sand in the air with bad visibility) on a couple of days so this felt wonderful in the afternoon. Spa staff are all Swedish and very friendly. One day the staff turned off the hamam 20min before the spa closed which we didn't find appropriate and they told guests already 15min before closing that they should get out of the spa soon. Spa is closed on Saturdays and daily from 1-2pm. Cost is 12 euros a week. Opening hours have been reduced, it opens now at 9am and closes at 6pm so not possible to see the sunset from jacuzzi. Gym is totally new now, very good Technogym machines and nice to workout with view at the poolside. Water aerobics are 30min, almost daily, and happens at the middle pool outside. Very good sports and good instructors. No noodles used, just moves in the water. Water temp is not what the travel agency promises (approx. 25 C). It is max 22-23 and the largest pool is barely 20 C. The water felt cold or very cold - even after a while in it - on most days - with clearly insufficient heating. This amazes us as the hotel has renewed their heat pumps (to Panasonic) and advertise this on youtube with water temp being at 28 C which is not true at all - at least at this time of year. It's good to know these things but as I said it's all in all a great hotel for relaxing holiday. Adult only, no kids. Some families have older teenagers. Taxis are easy to grab and nice to go to Meloneras for dinner etc. We had lunch 4 times and dinner twice. Buffet lunch is now 13,50€ per person and dinner 20€ per person, including wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee and tea as much as you like. Very good value for money. Wine is good quality for "all inclusive wine". It's all buffet now. Themes vary daily. Lunch is not as much variety as dinner but always something nice to please everyone. The hotel was much more crowded now than during our last visits, probably due to the fact it was fully booked and the uppermost level is now finished with much more rooms. Most guests were from Scandinavia but also some from the UK and Germany. We would still return to this hotel and hope the management fixes the pool temperature issue and keep up the good standard of food and service. Suggestions for improvement: 1) Water temp in the pool needs improvement. This is the weakest point and the reason for my 4 star rating. 2) Spa hours should be longer and open on all days. 3) All towels should be replaced free of charge. 4) Wishes for room location should be handled professionally - understandably up to availability - and prior questions answered. The best things were: 1) Good suite with great cleaning. 2) Customer service upon the broken cosmetics issue. 3) Beautiful gardens and pools with comfortable new seating. 4) Buffet with drinks included for both lunch and dinner.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
