It was my first adult holiday away the hotel was great, food was good found something to eat every day, their was no entertainment which was the only downside the staff were very friendly and the rooms and grounds were kept extremely clean at all times, if there was any problems the management would fix it very quickly. The rooms were a good size with very good air conditioning I will definitely be coming back in the near furtue

We have just arrived from a 7 night stay at this hotel and I can honestly say it was fantastic! The hotel was lovely and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! The room was great and the maid service fantastic! The all inclusive drinks had a great variety as did the food! The only suggestion I would have is the pool during the day is incredibly quiet and could do with a little music to create an atmosphere also perhaps entertainment outside during the evening as it is beautiful out there at night and it is a shame this is not taken advantage of! I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing, indulgent holiday!

Shocked at one or the reviews below to be honest and I refuse to believe it, I have even written to TripAdvisor to report it as possibly being a false review as the pictures don't even look like the hotel. This was our second holiday to this hotel. We were here last year and even though we never usually visit the same place twice, we loved it that much, we returned and our second trip was even better than the first. The hotel is adults only and it is a nice peaceful escape from children and the stresses of home with work etc. The pools are all very quiet and I enjoy this even though some complain, but if you really want music, you can stick in your headphones and listen to that. I prefer quiet so I can read and relax. Having emailed the hotel before arrival, I asked for a ground floor room and they gave us the most stunning room which opened out onto the pool. We loved it. Meant we had our own sunbeds and could sit there all day with the sound of the water lapping in the pool by our feet. Heaven. Food as usual was really good. Cooked perfectly and as with all buffets piping hot if you get there early, but it does start to cool down after a while although fresh batches are always made and served up regular so you can always get hot food. Tex Mex and Asian night are the best, currently Thursday for Tex Mex and Tuesday for Asian. They have a sushi chef on Asian night and he will make you fresh sushi while you wait. There is always something to eat, even for the fussiest of eaters. The desserts are excellent aswell. Watch out for the profiteroles on Italian night. I have gone home 10lbs heavier because of those little beauties!! The rooms are quite big and spacious and are cleaned to a good standard. I do think they need updating slightly as the showers are not very powerful and it took me a while to wash the shampoo out of my hair each night under the trickle, but it wasn't such a major issue that I felt the need to complain. Being on the ground floor I was concerned about cockroaches, we never saw any last year when we were on the second floor, but I was worried about being on the ground floor and seeing some, so my husband told a slight porky to the reception staff on our first day and asked could we have our room sprayed as we'd seen 2 cockroaches. He seemed shocked and got a maintenance man to spray the room right away. We hadn't seen any and we didn't see any for our entire stay. The hotel is a little out of the way from the bars and the beach. But this suits us, we are not beach goers and we enjoy the walk to the bars of an evening. However there is always a taxi outside the hotel at the taxi rank and you can get to places cheaply by taxi if need be. The hotel bar is where this hotel excels. The cocktail list is superb and you will struggle to work your way through it without being sozzled. The measures are strong!! The staff at the bar are quick and polite, they know exactly who is next to be served and they will even remember your favourite tipple. Special thanks to Lali and Yeray who were by far the best staff there, always had a smile and a Spanish lesson for you. Evening entertainment is a bit hit and miss. During our first week we had John, who is brilliant, great singer and good guitarist, but he was not there the second week and was replaced with some god awful Spanish duo. By this time though we had made some good friends at the bar and they were just background noise to our chatting, drinking and laughing. If the hotel entertainment is not to your liking, then the Yumbo centre in a 10 minute walk away or about 3 euro in a taxi. Last year we avoided the Yumbo centre because we'd heard not good things about it, but this time we tried and we were sorry we never went last year. Yes there are gay bars and it gets quite rowdy later on, but there are also some lovely family type bars and little cafe bars to sit at. The Ritz being our favourite. We spent a few evenings down there when the hotel had no entertainment on. Wifi is also spot on. Very strong and works in every area of the hotel. Even half way down the road one evening whilst on our way out we got a whatsapp message off our daughter as our phone was still receiving an internet signal from the hotel. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone, if you want a relaxing break away from the kids, with some great food and drinks, then you can't go far wrong with this place. You can't have everything and although this hotel sacrifices in location it makes up for it in every other way. Can not wait to return.

What a dreadful time while staying at this Thomas cook hotel, firstly we came back to our hotel room after being out and our hotel room was full of small cockroaches, there were all over our hotel apartment and in every room running around as you can see in pictures which I tagged the Thomas cook hotel at the time, we told the hotel and they didn't seem fussed that they had an infestation in the room and got spay out from the reception desk as if it was normal( I get there is cockroaches aboard but big ones bit small infestations) they then sprayed the place and we had to sit in the balcony for a hour at 3am waiting for the spray to go, they'll next day we tried to complain and say we were worried about these getting in our luggage and taking these home with us and they just laughed and the Thomas cook rep took no interest, then secondly while in the hotel restaurant we were having pork chops and as you can see from the picture they were red raw and uncooked, we told the girl who cleared the plates and she looked shocked at the uncooked raw meat! Again no apology from the hotel or Thomas cook. Most of the week the meals were quite poor quality and seemed uncooked like you had to pick up a piece of meat that's not bloody and I mean pork too! We have stayed at 9 hotels at playa del ingles all being self catering, 3/4 and 5 star hotels and this 4 star holt is poor quality. Won't go there again.
