Stayed at the hotel for a week. Unfortunately due to a misleading travel agent we were sold the hotel and told it was suitable for an adult group. The hotel is brilliant for young families, and the all inclusive is fab with ice cream and snacks available throughout the day. However, for an adult group, the pools are not big enough so are very crowded and very loud. There is the typical "save a sun lounger before breakfast" mentality which the hotel states they don't accept so be warned! The jacuzzi's on the roof top were awesome and adults only, but like all of the hotel, the only lift to reach them only holds 4 people, so with a big group some of you have to walk. The food was good, always a big selection. Just be careful with the plates and glasses as they are often a little dirty. (I think they need a new dishwasher) The beach is only a short walk, and really good with loads to do. Train service is also a short walk and will take you straight into Barcelona.

Rooms where very basic and need of upgrade, rooms where clean and beds comfortable. Hotel staff excellent nothing was to much trouble for them. Food excellent, and plenty of it, the staff in the dining room where very fast and efficient at making tables available for the next diners, also they where very pleasant and yet again nothing was to much trouble. We went as a couple, and the adult only roof terrace was great, Winston the barman was excellent and always had a smile on his face. We did not have any children with us on this holiday but we could instantly see the entertainment team gave100% in entertaining the children. Overall we had a great holiday and we will definitely be returning next year.

We stayed in the block behind main hotel, rooms tiny, holes in flooring, camp beds, two sockets in the weird places[one over the sink near ceiling, one next to wardrobe) tiny balcony, even smaller tv, most of the flooring has been patched up around the building, lift too small for amount of people using it, the whole place is too overcrowded, pools are small and very crowded and no space between sun beds, the restaurant is small and crowed, it's not relaxing to have your meal it's like a canteen, the top plates are usually dirty and the que are long, everywhere is tired looking an a bit worn out, the adult terrace on top of the main building is ok, the jacuzzis are small and the water was dirty, there is no shade, there were a couple of umbrellas but they were broken, we went to the beach every day to get away from the chaos, which is crazy when you have paid for all inclusive, like other reviews on here it's very basic, we complained to the Thomas Cook rep and were given a kettle, a iron, and a remote control, not sure where we were supposed to plug the latter two items in, oh yes a nice little bath mat to cover the repair hole in the bedroom floor, a nice idea but it not going to improve our stay, Monica bless her did offer us other rooms in the main hotel but it would have split up our party on to different floors and it was right over the entertainment area, we also got access to the little pool at the back where the apartments are, but your not allowed to have sun beds over there ,and of course no toilets and you have to walk 300 m to get drinks and food so nice idea Monica but I paid for all inclusive, I don't expect to have walk down the next street to get my drinks. For me the worst holiday I ever had

Arrived very late at night as a family with 2 adults and 6 children ages ranging from 2-17. Reception staff were great, dealt with getting our keys efficiently and even offered food and drinks before bed, but we'd been travelling from 6am so needed our beds Beds- were comfortable with good pillows which made sure we all had a good nights rest. Yeah rooms are dated but you pay for what you get, it's only a place to rest your head and they were clean and tidy. The food- always something to eat for breakfast dinner and tea, children loved the free ice cream offered constantly should you want it. Drinks- although it's only 4 per person we never struggled and the queues were never big enough to complain about, although you do hear people complaining!!! Entertainment- every day there was something different going on for adults and children alike, as a large family we like to be involved to make the most of our holiday and have fun:- we definitely did that here. Night time was bingo, children's club and then adults section, so something for all ages. Staff- friendly, informative and always happy to help especially Monica and Lindsey. We have been here twice nice and was gutted to hear they are closing around the 21st October for the end of season so have had to book with festival village, we just hope they live up to the villa marina standards that we have told our family and friends about as there is 16 of us going in October. We highly recommend this hotel for families
