We found this hotel to be average. The main problems were the fact that none of the staff spoke English and this made communication rather difficult. Also, the selection of food was good but would be better if more popular foods such as chips (french fries) were available all the time. I would reccomend this hotel for older couples as the entertainment was weak and the hotel was not very lively. On the positive side, this hotel was very good value for money and the rooms were maintained to a high standard. It would be worth knowing that this hotel is based in "Old Benidorm" in contrast to "New Benidorm" which is closer to the beach and shops. Although the bus journey is only 15 minutes and costs €1.50, it was a bit hassle for us as we travelled in every day.

if your looking to go to a quieter part of Benidorm then stay here hotel staff very friendly and hotel is immaculately clean with rooms also cleaned everyday with wifi througout the hotel. I only gave it 4 out of 5 as it is a Spanish hotel with all entertainment etc based on Spanish visitors just down the road is a beautiful quiet beach with parks if you want to take the kids also an English pub that does a good breakfast with drink for 3.80euro. if you want to go to the main part of Benidorm you can get the number 2 or 3 bus on the next road from the hotel for 1.50euro we caught the bus to new town in an evening and got a taxi back after our nights out for around 10euro all in all if you want a quiet relaxing holiday with easy access to the main strip then I would definitely recommend staying here

My friends and I booked the Tropic and have to say it was everything we wanted and more.We was greeted by Damitrio ( I think anyway) and he was very friendly. We dumped our bags and asked where we could get a drink. He told us there was a24 hr bar up the road , so that's where we went. 1.50€ for san Miguel was great!!! And the locals were so friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The normal stuff... continental. Set us up for the day. The bus stop is just outside the other hotel ( alone) on the other side of the road and is only 1.50€ into Benidorm. Bus number 2.... evening meals were great too. We caught the bus back to Benidorm in the evenings and got a taxi home. Costs € 10-12 ... visit the club's in the new town it's a must.. we will definitely book at that hotel again.

We would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing break. If you are looking for little England - true Benidorm style, this is not the place for you! We booked as a relaxing break for us as sisters travelling together. We are in our mid forties and were looking to unwind. We were on a budget and overall this was great value for money and met our needs. Lovely hotel; rooms not particularly spacious but they are clean and functional. Maid service daily was great, no complaints. We stayed full board which meant there was plenty to eat with wine and water included at mealtimes. Food was a bit repetitive and not always the best quality, but reasonable value for money. Pool side was clean and not over crowded, which was a plus as this is quite a confined area. Use of the facilities of the hotel alone was available to us just accross the road and this pool was bigger, so better for kids. We didn't take kids with us, though I think they may have been a little bored if we had as there wasn't much for them to do at all. Staff were friendly and we received a warm welcome; however many of the key staff did not speak much English. Restaurant staff were lovely and did make every effort to chat with people, however one of the male reception staff was quite unhelpful; preferring to spend time on facebook or his mobile phone, rather than providing customer service, which let the hotel down a little, being front of house you would think he might have tried harder. Client group tends to be older people 60 plus and while we were there most were european rather than English which was nice. There were a couple of groups of younger people arrived - (larger groups), this caused some delays in being served at the bar as the bar staff were doing their utmost to keep up, though could have done with additional staff to help. Reception was quiet much of the time, though I didn't see any offer of help for the bar staff when they were busy which was sad really. The entertainment was okay, though it started really late and was preceded by dancing. Unfortunately this was geared towards more towards spanish holiday makers, as the staff again did not speak English. We would have liked to join in more and to have seen more diversity with entertainment choices. Overall, a lovely hotel - very Spanish. If you are looking for a relaxing stay outside of the hustle and bustle of benidorm then this may be for you. If you are looking for night life - Benidorm style (we certainly weren't), this is not the place for you. There is regular transport into Benidorm, during the day as well as gift shops, supermarket a regular market and a carrefour locally, if you prefer to take the self catering option. Cala Finestrat is a nice little place, small with a lovely beach. Again, not the place to be if you are looking for real Benidorm style entertainment, but very nice from a short break to get away from it all.
Having fun in the sun is the image that Benidorm holidays conjure up - and it's certainly no myth! From summer temperatures hovering near 40° Celsius to generous January averages of around 13° Celsius, permanently clear skies mean you should pack your sunblock whenever you're coming, and hit those golden beaches!
