this hotel is so clean and you can tell they are trying to make amends from the previous owners so don't worry about reviews of 2012 the room was basic but spotless the pool too was clean and hotel in general the food was great especially the breakie and all the staff were very friendly even printed my boarding pass for return home .the stunning beach was 15 min walk supermarket 10min walk shortcut at back of hotel and the golf was amazing too that's a ten walk but worth it. as you are surrounded by 5star hotels so the whole place at bayside is beautiful place to be cant wait to come back to bayside in October only negatives are you are a bit in the sticks so don't expect a Benidorm new town for that but if your with family defo old town is best about 12euro in taxi but hotel runs a bus free during day this hotel is great value and glad we went for a quite holiday to relax and play golf so thanks josef and john and luis and all the other staff see yous in october

I have to say the bayside was perfect for our holiday. It is a quite hotel with a lovely pool. We had a standard apartment which was clean spacious with a great air con system which is really quite when on compared to other places we stayed. The pool area was clean there was nobody getting up at 6am to get there towels on sunbeds and leave them there for the day always got a sunbed and shade no problem. Everyone of the staff are very friendly polite and will help you out in anyway they can always with a smile. There isn't much entertainment at night but we weren't really looking for that anyway. We rented a car which cost 200 for 10 days I'd recommend doing this as albufeira is just under 10 minutes away. The old town is lovely I'd steer clear of the new Town. I'd recommend the bayside no problem and will return if coming back to pourtugal again. Thanks all at the bayside

We stayed two years ago and the progress since is remarkable. The pool area is much improved and despite the usual hoggers, there were always beds available. The food is great value for money - very cheap and tasty too. breakfast was only 6e and 3e for the children, and the toasties etc. are fab value. Pint is 2.5s and wine the same (and it's cold, well produced local wine). Rooms are basic yes but it was a cheap holiday and you have to bear the price paid with the amenities on offer! It's a great hotel for people who want a nice, safe holiday in peaceful surroundings. No stags or hen's and no big groups here! It is a bit far out of the way but we had a car and were grateful for the peace and quiet. There were enough other families to keep our children entertained and we loved that it was a small safe complex -there is only one way in and out of the grounds and everyone is very friendly and helpful- staff and guests alike. Parking is free and plentiful right outside the hotel. The staff are very good indeed - they are eager to help and have a very good sense of humour! There are a few restaurants nearby, a shop and some nice places to eat on the beach front. We loved our stay here and would definitely return again - the children loved staying here and in particular the three legged dog that we adopted (along with everyone else!!) and named Salvador. He's a beauty and we wanted to keep him!!! Lovely stay :)

Our economic apartment at Bayside was perfect for us, yes they are basic but you get what you pay for. They were clean & spacious, with a small kitchenette for preparing lunch. The pool area was great, plenty of sun loungers throughout the day although they do fill up in the evening time & most have umbrellas for a small bit of shade throughout the day! The pool isn't heated but it was lovely to cool off from the heat of the beautiful Portugal sun. Albufeira is accessible by shuttle bus from the complex which leaves twice daily, 9.45am (returns at 3pm) and 3.10pm with no return, at a cost of €2 each way, after 3.10 a taxi is necessary & the most we paid for a taxi was €12 one way. Pleasant staff who are helpful & friendly. Breakfast is a lot to be desired but you can get a decent English breakfast 2 minutes away for €4.50, we didn't get to sample the restaurant menu as the half board guests booked out the restaurant! There is a supermarket is around a 5-10minute walk away & the beautiful beach is a must see! Overall a very enjoyable first visit to The Algarve & Bayside!
