Sports & Entertainment
St Julians Bay Hotel is directly situated along Main Street which the popular Sea Front promenade is adjoining Sliema and the popular Paceville district, which has over the years developed into one of the Island’s most popular nightlife and entertainment spots. St Julians, Initially a fishing village, later transformed into summer residence for wealthy locals and now has developed into one of the Island’s mostly fetched resorts for night life, entertainment, shopping and commerce for all age groups. Of cultural contrast, St Julians still retains some of its old dwellings and boat houses whilst the small bay still shelters numerous coloured Maltese boats that are berthed here all year round. St Julians is a village for all ages and walks of life and without any doubt has become Malta’s number one tourist destination.

The young at heart will enjoy nearby Paceville - this locality offers much to tourists looking for nightlife entertainment, including discos, bars, Casino , restaurants and other entertainment. Here there are dozens of closed and open air bars, cafes, restaurants, clubs as well as beautiful beach clubs, literally packing the streets with life and entertainment. During the day and early evenings, Paceville also houses a large shopping centre, as well as many upscale shops around the popular Portomaso and Hilton Development along Ross Street.

Whilst the people and staff were friendly and helpful, we were very surprised at the quality of the room we were given, the hotel was supposedly a 3 star hotel and on the website the rooms look very nice and considering how much they charged per night it was more of a hostel. As soon as we walked into the room, it was dated and old looking, the shower almost scorched you if you weren't careful and we had 2 children with us. We couldn't use any of the furniture as it was almost falling apart, the tv didn't work and the air conditioning system wasn't working. There was a fan in the room but it fell apart when we tried use it. We felt misled by what we had seen on the web site....we will not be going there again.,

Stayed one week here with my brother. Our conclusions: -room is ok, but shower is very very small. If you are a little bit bigger than us, you would not fit in the shower and can't turn. Balcony had a nice view on the Balluta Bay. -staff is basic and only 1-2 of the people in reception know the hotel, the rest are new or are bit shy in front of guests. We were friendly assisted when we asked for a taxi drop-off to the airport though. -the most positive thing we can mention is the location, just far enough from the busy Paceville (where all the teenagers go to) and close to some shops, nice restaurants and bars. -our biggest dissappointment was the pool. On some websites like Zoover we saw pictures of a pool so thought there would be a pool. When we went to the pool though -which is opposite the hotel- we were informed that we needed to buy a pass for €10,- a day! Luckily there is also a small piece of sand beach where we spend our time instead. -didn't try the breakfast, but there are nice restaurants and 2 supermarkets on 5-10min walking distance. Not bad to stay, just don't expect too much. Malta has many beautiful sites to visit and this hotel is a basic place to explore the island from.

Just returned from 4 days at this hotel, which was an endurance test. Rooms very basic and not very clean. Only one towel each supplied to shower (we did ask for a bath but didn't get one) wash and do hair with, again not very clean one actually had blood on it. Wash basin very low and had to ask on two occasions for a plug. Toilet seat collapsed and could not sit down on loo because of banging knees on the wash basin. Shower room smelt of stale sewerage. Breakfast was poor. Lift only just big enough to take one person and a suitcase. The only good thing about this place was its location
