Sports & Entertainment
St Julians Bay Hotel is directly situated along Main Street which the popular Sea Front promenade is adjoining Sliema and the popular Paceville district, which has over the years developed into one of the Island’s most popular nightlife and entertainment spots. St Julians, Initially a fishing village, later transformed into summer residence for wealthy locals and now has developed into one of the Island’s mostly fetched resorts for night life, entertainment, shopping and commerce for all age groups. Of cultural contrast, St Julians still retains some of its old dwellings and boat houses whilst the small bay still shelters numerous coloured Maltese boats that are berthed here all year round. St Julians is a village for all ages and walks of life and without any doubt has become Malta’s number one tourist destination.

The young at heart will enjoy nearby Paceville - this locality offers much to tourists looking for nightlife entertainment, including discos, bars, Casino , restaurants and other entertainment. Here there are dozens of closed and open air bars, cafes, restaurants, clubs as well as beautiful beach clubs, literally packing the streets with life and entertainment. During the day and early evenings, Paceville also houses a large shopping centre, as well as many upscale shops around the popular Portomaso and Hilton Development along Ross Street.

Stayed there last week, went with a group of friend for a hens weekend. We booked two rooms and as soon as we arrived we regretted our choice. The elevator is very small and slow. One of the rooms had a modern bathroom, although the room was small, balcony was tiny and overlooking a run-down building. The ceiling had stains on it, same with the quilt, which had no sheets and all the towels were very old and grey. The curtain rail fell on me, we asked the reception to fix it and the answer was will come tomorrow. After insisting they agree to do it later, however nobody came. Walk up at 6am from the sun and fix it myself. The second room was bigger, however the bathroom was old looking and inconvenient. The breakfast as well didn't have many choices. And if you need to use the toilet when you are at the reception, it's on the 7th floor:) The best feature of the hotel is the location, in walking distance from clubs, restaurants, shops and the buss stop. As well the manager of the reception was helpful.

This"hotel"? did not leave me with the feeling that I would want to stay there again, yes it was fairly cheap and we got what we paid for and no more. the room was a side room on the first floor, one large wardrobe, one dressing table with two small drawers one set of drawers (that is until the day before we left then another one appeared) the beds were ok and i slept reasonably well although my brother found his mattress uncomfortable and did not sleep well all week, we also expierienced some inconsiderate clown hammering and drilling at 3am one night, I complained about it but was told it was nothing to do with the hotel although the noise appeared to becoming from a floor above us. The room had a free safe for your valuables (only problem with this was it was not fastened down, so anyone who got access to the room could have picked it up and walked out with it under there arm, laughable).there was a fridge and aircon though both these items were not working to full capacity.the bathroom was adequate and kept clean with regular towel changes the cleaning lady was very nice as were most of the staff apart from two guys on reception who needed lessons In customer relations. The lift was little better than a shower cubicle on a wire (grateful we were on the first floor), as for breakfast typical cheap hotel fare awful little frankfurter type sausages every day, cold poached eggs,or hard fried eggs, or scrambled egg made into a type of cake (awful) the bread was nice though. Verdict, a hostel more than a hotel would be a better description of this place

We booked the hotel with a room at the back, because the pictures apealed to us. Also the price was very reasonable. At arrival the room was different than the pictures shown on their website. But when you are not a needy person wanting luxury, this hotel is a good option. Clean towels and floormat every day, clean bedsheets (if you want to) everyday. There is soap, water glasses and a good shower (although maybe a little small). You have a balcony with a few of building next to it, but if you look sideways there is the sea. The bed was comfortable and all the basics were there. Maybe a mini bar would've been nice, also to store self bought water bottles. Great, convienent location. Nice staff.
