Distance from the airport

To get to this resort from Valena International Airport, it is a 35-minute domestic flight and a 45-minute speedboat.

This resort boasts a host of beautiful villas for you to stay in. From overwater family villas to villas with a pool, you're guaranteed a good night's sleep and a bit of luxury to go alongside it. Each room comes with air conditioning, tea/coffee-making facilities, satellite TV and more.

Food and Drink

With 14 restaurants to choose from, you'll never go hungry or thirsty when staying at the Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. Head to the main buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner or have a stroll to the Asian-inspired 'Bamboo' restaurant. If you're feeling like sampling the local cuisine, head to the Maldivian grill or if Italian is taking your fancy, try The Trio. Alongside this, you have a family pool bar, infinity pool bar, cocktail and entertainment bar and more. You can even have an intimate romantic set-up dinner anywhere on the island, which is a Chef's special!

Sports and Entertainment

At this hotel, there is the main swimming pool with a kids' section as well as an adult-only infinity pool. A beautiful white sand beach is available to laze on or you can take advantage of one of the sporting options which include a range of watersports, tennis and badminton and outdoor mini-golf. There is also a delightful spa to relax in and even a kids' spa for the little ones to chillout in. Other things to do include diving, a fully-equipped gym and table tennis. For the little ones, there is a kids' club as well to keep them entertained.

Please note that further upgrades are scheduled from 05 October to 10 December 2025. During this period, the second overwater jetty, consisting of 40 water villas, will be temporarily closed for preventive maintenance and infrastructure improvements. In addition to this, the signature French restaurant Flavours will also be temporarily closed during this period.

Transfers to the Maldives hotels are from Male International Airport via either seaplane, or speedboat. Luggage allowance varies depending on transfer type:

• Seaplane (20kg hold luggage and 5kg hand luggage)

• Speedboat (No luggage restrictions)

Immediately upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by either airport or hotel staff, who will escort you to your transfer departure point, and will be on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding transfers and timings. Please note that other flight arrivals or sudden changes in weather might mean you need to wait up to 3 hours before boarding the transfer.

If you’re travelling via seaplane, flights can only operate between 09:00 and 15:00. If you land in Male after 15:00, or if there are any sudden weather changes, you’ll need to stay overnight in an airport hotel. Don’t worry – if this is the case then we’ll be in touch to make the arrangements. It’s also worth noting that, like most holiday transfers, seaplanes will stop at multiple resorts on the way.
