Overview

Snorkelling and beachfront-picnicing by day, themed parties and DJ sets by night - that's what holidays at Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon are all about. The stylish bungalows are dotted around the resort, leading to a seafront pool where you can take a dip and admire the view. There are loads of sports to try your hand at if that's your thing, and a choice of restaurants and bars where you can fill your boots with everything from stir fry and fresh curry to pasta and unlimited cocktails. The resort is set directly beside its own private beach area with white sands and clear blue waters.

Distance from Airport

The resort is just a 25-minute seaplane ride away from Malé International Airport.

Rooms

A choice of Standard Rooms, Superior Rooms, Beach Bungalows and Water Bungalows are available. Each room is modern and decked out with island-themed décor, offering air conditioning, a ceiling fan, an LED TV, a telephone, a FREE safety deposit box, a minibar (extra charge), a hairdryer, pillow menu and tea and coffee facilities. Water Bungalows also include an iron and ironing board, a coffee machine, bathrobes and slippers and a glass-bottom floor, so you can watch the marine life go by right underneath your feet!

Food & Drink

Breakfast, lunch and dinner along with local snacks are served in the main restaurant from morning to evening, with unlimited wines, spirits, cocktails and mocktails on the all-inclusive package. You'll find a wide variety of dishes to choose from, with highlights including stir fry, fragrant curry and pasta. There are also three bars on side (including a poolside bar) serving a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, along with a separate restaurant which is exclusive for Water Bungalow guests.

Sports & Entertainment

The seafront swimming pool lets you take a dunk while looking out over the crystal-clear seascape, but if you want to explore even more of your surroundings, then diving or snorkelling are the way to go. There's a diving centre on the island offering loads of different training programmes and one-off lessons, and you're sure to spot some colourful marine life on your travels. If water activities aren't your thing, you can hit the gym for a workout or have a game of beach volleyball, table tennis, badminton, billiards, tennis, squash or darts at the resort, while little ones can stay occupied at the kids' playground. After sundown, the hotel comes to life with live music, karaoke nights and DJ sets, so there's always something to keep you entertained. Oh, and there's FREE Wi-Fi on site, perfect for sharing those Insta snaps. And trust us. You're going to want to.

Transfers to the Maldives hotels are from Male International Airport via either domestic aircraft, seaplane, or speedboat. Luggage allowance varies depending on transfer type:

• Domestic aircraft (20kg hold luggage and 5kg hand luggage)

• Seaplane (20kg hold luggage and 5kg hand luggage)

• Speedboat (No luggage restrictions)

Immediately upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by either airport or hotel staff, who will escort you to your transfer departure point, and will be on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding transfers and timings. Please note that other flight arrivals or sudden changes in weather might mean you need to wait up to 3 hours before boarding the transfer.

If you’re travelling via seaplane, flights can only operate between 09:00 and 15:00. If you land in Male after 15:00, or if there are any sudden weather changes, you’ll need to stay overnight in an airport hotel. Don’t worry – if this is the case then we’ll be in touch to make the arrangements. It’s also worth noting that, like most holiday transfers, seaplanes will stop at multiple resorts on the way.
