beautiful island, beautiful views, layout of resort was gorgeous. The hotel is trying to do everything to make it perfect, the staff work relentlessly to keep it clean and running at top speed but somehow it falls short. its hard to put my finger on it.... food became boring very quickly.. upstairs themed restaurant much better. Themed restaurant should be downstairs and upstairs even better. I craved to smell good food being cooked- what would be wrong with a lunch time grill? It was sort of on the par with school dinners and i eat everything and try everything! I had very un-efficient air conditioning which is chargeable nightly other had great air con. Animation team hardworking and sociable but why put night events on in an arena with no available bar? Not even a tray available, its like the hotel is cutting corners to save cash Understandable perhaps in the economic climate i even booked late glad to be supporting Greece economic position. If this is the reason i get it! If not its poor management- the little things add up and make what could be an amazing holiday somehow lacking. It is really hard to pin it down, you will get bitten as well- i went armed with mosquito repellant on a mega scale they get you outside as expected. I never saw or heard a single one in my room but was bit for 4 nights by a spider of all things which terrorized me in my sleep. 4th day found it killed it no more bites huge relief. would i go back yes but armed with knowledge that if air con etc not up to scratch complain, Had a friend who complained daily over beds etc and smell nothing done. I just don't know- i suppose its luck of the drawer, if you have a room with good beds and good air con and a maid who brings unscratchy towels you've hit the jackpot if you have poor aircon uncomfortable beds and smelly room moan. Its literally pot luck......

Lovely staff. Entertainment team work really hard (night shows not great though) Rooms are basic and need updating but are clean. Food very repetitive and the Greeks LOVE oil on everything. All Inclusive drinks are pretty bad to be honest and finishes dead on 11pm. Lovely pool and great kids club. Hotel quite isolated though with the nearest town 20 mins walk away. It is along a lovely coastal path though where you will find a dozen bars/restaurants.

Me and my mum went here 15th July - 22nd on a last minute booked trip! On arrival the staff were very helpful and showed us to our room - which had a fantastic view of the sea and surround islands ! Our room was a very decent size with a safe, air con and hangers for your clothes. TV had a few English channels, the news and a channel called star. Only watched it whilst getting ready for our evening meal but had some decent shows on and movies at night :) only issue with our room was the shower as it had a mind of its own, but wasn't major bother we just hand held the shower. Food was really good, always something for everyone and the options changed each night (obviously somethings similar like chips/rice/salads) I am quite fussy yet always found something good to eat and the desserts were amazing! They also have a themed restaurant upstairs which you could have each night - we only tried the Asian night but it was amazing food!! Snacks during the day, sandwiches/pizza and icecream were really good and could help yourself :) the animation team were great keeping you entertained from 10 am until 11pm ! Daytime activities had something for everyone, but if that wasnt for you, you could chill by the pool or go to the beach. The night time shows were put on by the animation team too who worked really hard and made a good effort ! Was very entertaining- Jacob was my favourite animator :) there is also a disco every saturday and tuesday night which is really entertaining and cheap drinks to :) there are cats about, although they are very friendly and I'd never seen them be naughty, so don't be alarmed. All in all it was a brilliant holiday and my only real issue was that we couldn't stay longer ! I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples and families as there is something for everyone :) we will most likely come back here next year ! :)

Forget all the bad press you have been hearing about Greece, it certainly didn't affect our fabulous holiday, We are a family of four, 2 adults 2 children ages 7 and 10. This was the fourth time visiting the Achilleas hotel and we could not have had a better time if we tried. I emailed the hotel for a specific room which they provided along with a bottle of wine, water and fruit!!! The staff are friendly and helpful and fantastic with the children, The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, with stunning views of the sea. The restaurant caters for even the fussiest of diners with plenty to choose from, along with the pool and beach bars providing snacks and drinks there was never a time to go hungry or thirsty. There are plenty of activities to take part in during the day and entertainment in the evening, however if you just want to laze by the pool then there are plenty of sunbeds to go round. This has to be one of my favourite places to go and relax, in lovely surrounding with lovely people, you really cant ask for more. Thankyou very much to every one at Eurovillage Achilles Hotel for making our stay so wonderful, hopefully we will be back again very soon.
