This was a return visit to the Norida and as a returning guest I had access to the other Mitsis hotels. My son and I dined in the Summer Palace Italian restaurant and the Blue Domes Italian both very nice. We had a fantastic time as usual. Rooms cleaned to a good standard every day, food good, entertainment good, a new addition of a pizza hut on the beach which was very nice. The care and attention we received was second to none, I would like to give a special mention to Hatzi in the Chinese restaurant and Vasilis, maitre d in the restaurant. Our only disappointment was the Chinese restaurant wasn't open at the start of our holiday but this wasn't the fault of the hotel. The new chefs are better than the last ones, so worth the wait. The adult bar could maybe do with some more cd's to play when the saxophonist is not playing. My son likes to watch tv while on holiday and there is only a news channel in English so this could be improved. A word of warning about the trips sold by Dodecanese Travel, We went on the Greek Night and had a pretty horrible time. We have done this trip before so thought we knew what to expect. They should normally have a rep on the bus but there wasn't one. The other people on the bus had not been told about the little visit to Zia first so were completely confused. The rep normally points out views on the way to the venue and then about the visit to Zia, what time to return to the bus and the bus number. The driver told me, as I was sat at the front, what time to arrive back at the bus and I told everyone else. When it was time to return to the bus, others didn't know the bus number. If I had not been there they would have been lost. On reaching the Greek night venue we found it was outdoors, normally at this time of year it is hed indoors and we didnt take coats.Be sure to take coats as it is freezing because its up a mountain.I was told access to it was " a few steps ". I am disabled but can manage a few steps. The rep was at the venue and said to wait till the end and she would help me .The few steps turned out to be lots of steps so I then had to get my mobility scooter and go down the ramp. The ramp is very steep and dangerous with metal sheets that are lifted in places,( I told the rep back at the hotel and he noted this )anyone pushing a wheelchair could easily trip over these. As we reached the bottom of the ramp we came to like a small amphitheatre and all the other guests were seated on the ground floor. As we had had to wait there were no other seats available and we were sat on the top tier away from everyone else. Part of the experience is meeting other guests seated at large tables. The rep did finally move us nearer to the others but still on a higher tier so still alone. The food is usually good with lots of courses, our waiter dropped some food as he was serving us and didn't replace it. There are some new Greek dancers this year, not as good as they used to be so we found it quite boring. I spent most of the evening with my arms inside my top to try to keep warm. On leaving the venue, the rep, sent a waiter to help me up the ramp, not needed as its a motorised scooter. As the ramp is so steep my scooter was going slowly so he proceeded to push my chair up the ramp while it was switched on despite me repeatedly telling him not to. "Stop you will break it " didnt work. I spoke to my rep to see if we could get a small refund, if only for the dropped food, no chance of any refund. Be aware if you book these trips, there is no money back and take a coat.

Flew with BA a new route for them bonus Very warm welcome from reception manager and staff We're allotted two lovely garden rooms 88 and 89 , spotless and high standard , toiletries included that was a nice touch , view of sea as ground floor requested and was met with gratitude x Great bars and the best coffee we've ever had in any country in the world . Beach bar Sam and dimitrie awesome , Pizza Hut next to it on beach was much appreciated by the men lol . Pool bar costas you are a star , adult bar was much appreciated as well with staff so on the ball Edwado sorry spellings incorrect lol and nazi and elli fabulous , a few ankle biters ventured in but on the whole it's an adult bar , entertainment in bar was saxophonist bit tiring after one night needs a varied change and karaoke great . The activity team were fun and especially Rachael Spragg Who trie to get us older gits included so chatty and friendly to all . Restaurant staff again amazing but this hotel caters for a huge amount of guests so it's fair to say food uninspiring the only negative of our trip and was often not hot enough but service a ten out of ten . Kardamena a ten euro trip in taxi but buses run from hotel , we always eat out a couple of times a week wherever we are be it all inclusive or not so thoroughly recommend going . Lots of great places to visit so I give it 9/10 losing a point for food , very child friendly but as we were all adults if our children were small again something going on for them too😄 Only wifi in reception needs to update as its 2015

Very nice hotel.Food and drinks excellent. We had a lovely room overlooking the sea in the main hotel building. The only down side was the entertainment in the adult bar. An excellent musician but could send a glass eye to sleep three times a week. Animation team worked hard during the day but night shows were for families with young children. 25 euros per week for a safe a bit steep in an all incl hotel. Would deff go back again

Myself, my husband and our young children stayed at the Norida beach on 7th May for a week. I booked this hotel because of the great reviews on here but we were very disappointed. Here's a list of pros and cons... Pros - The hotel grounds look lovely and the rooms are clean and spacious with views of the sea. We had a nice balcony to sunbathe on. Pool areas were nice and the slides were great for kids. You can help yourself to ice cream during the day. Kids play area is good and the staff at the kids club were very friendly and offered things to do for us on a rainy day. Weather was very good. Cons - Where do I start?! The food is pretty much the same thing everyday, too repetitive and not great quality. The food from the hot plate is dripping in oil. Very little fresh fruit available. Not good enough. Not 4 star standard by any means!! The hotel certainly scrimped on food big time! The restaurant was not big enough for the guests and there were too many queues, it was just a big canteen with lots of rude foreigners in!! Mainly Russians and Germans!! Not an enjoyable experience. The staff on the desk were very unhelpful and their initial response was always no!! Lots of things unavailable due to 'technical reasons', for example the Chinese restaurant and the laundry service. You can't use the facilities in the other Mitsis hotels nearby as hoped. No bottled water so if you want some other than the mini bar (filled every other day) then you will have to buy it yourself from the mini market! Beach pebbly and very busy, you will be lucky to get a non reserved sun chair. My husband and our baby were sick during our stayed here and we put this down to the food. It ruined our holiday. We wished we had paid more and booked the blue domes next door. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and it seriously needs to improve it's food and customer service/attitude before it reaches anywhere near 4 star. It also needs to ensure everything listed in the brochure is available!!
Kos holidays are enjoyable year-round, with average temperatures around 25° Celsius. Come prepared for days stretched out on the sunny shores of Kardamena beach getting a lovely, golden tan. Temperatures regularly reach 30° Celsius. during the summer months, but the waters are just perfect for swimming.
All travellers are advised to ensure that tetanus and polio vaccinations are kept up to date. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from all travellers over one year of age coming from infected areas.
