Just returned from 7 night stay at this hotel. Transfer from the airport in a private taxi was 15 minutes max. When we arrived at the hotel the staff were very helpful, explaining all the facilities. Hotel- The hotel is big complex, 3 pools, 2 saltwater and a chlorine slide pool. My children hated the salt water pools so we stuck to the pool with slides, which they loved! Rooms- We had a family room, which was lovely and clean. The beds were made everyday and the mini fridge filled every other day. The Air con was very good! Food- Was very much typical all inclusive. Nice but gets a bit repetitive. We went to the Al a carte Chinese restaurant that was yummy, we were all so full and satisfied. The pizza bar on the beach did delicious fresh pizza's. Entertainment- This was our biggest issue. It were RUBBISH, especially if you are english. Everyone is sat in rows, so you can't really socialise.. (If you do, a foreigner will tell you to be quiet). But overall we did have a nice time, definitely had enough though after 1 week. The Blue Domes sister hotel looks fabulous!

Just returned from a 14 night stay and had probably one of the best holidays in a long time. Travelled as a family of four with two teenagers. Transfer from airport to hotel was very short max 30 mins. Greeted by friendly staff who explained where our room was and gave us information regarding beach towel hire and safe and also a map of the complex. Our family room was in the main building and had a beautiful view of the sea. It was very clean and tidy and had a mini bar which was restocked every 2 days, toiletries, and towels were changed every day. We only had a short walk to the restaurant and pool. There was a vast selection of food available ( which was great for two fussy teenagers!) and the waiting staff were brilliant! Particularly Elvina who came to know us and had drinks waiting for us when we arrived. The beach has small shingle so beach shoes are advised especially as it does get hot. The sea is crystal clear and fish can be seen in shallow waters. The main pool is salt water. Everywhere is kept exceptionally clean and tidy. There is a pizza bar on the beach, watermelon is served mid morning and there is afternoon tea with cake available if you get peckish between meals! There is little evening entertainment so bring cards and games. A trip to Zia is worthwhile to see a beautiful sunset and a fantastic greek night but it is an hour coach trip each way. Overall a fantastic relaxing holiday with beautiful scenery. We would definitely like to come back!
The location is fantastic with a great view of Turkey, Nisyros and Kefalos islands. A short taxi ride (€10) would get you to Kardamena for some night life and the ferry across to the Greek islands...
The location is fantastic with a great view of Turkey, Nisyros and Kefalos islands. A short taxi ride (€10) would get you to Kardamena for some night life and the ferry across to the Greek islands. Stunning views and clean hotel, small pebbly beach and very good snorkeling opportunities. We arrived late as the Easyjet flight was delayed by an hour from Gatwick and was greeted by the most miserable receptionists ever. All four of them did not smile once and no welcome at all. They remained this way to the last day of the holiday. As a receptionist they set the first impression when you arrive for your holiday and I'm afraid this set the tone and we were not impressed. We went with Thomas Cook all inclusive and the food was okay but lacked a bit of variety with only one themed night (Italian) per week. With the number of countries that go to the hotel they could have accommodated more European themed food nights to mix things up. We found hiring anything near the hotel more expensive, we booked a car for 7 people for 3 days, on the hotel site from Kosmos we were quoted €400 and we found a Kosbos in the north of the Island who did one for €210 and they dropped it off at the hotel. Bike hire was also more expensive quoting us €18 per day, when we could go to the Mitsis Ramira Beach near Kos Town and hire one for €5 per day. My advice would be to shop around. I would not go with Thomas Cook ever again, the rep would have times up on the board and then would leave early. A couple of times I went to see her 15 minutes before the end of her allocated time and she had disappeared early. No advice was provided on the airport transfer on the way back and we ended up asking a Thomson rep for help. Yiannis and Krissos on the outside pool area bar were the best thing about the whole hotel, always smiling and friendly and very very helpful in providing local advice. These two guys should be used to train the rest of the staff in the hotel in how to treat customers right and deserve a promotion.
This hotel has good points and some bad points. Firstly the reception staff (Laura) needs to learn better customer services. Never ever smiled and if you asked anything it was just no! . We arrived...
This hotel has good points and some bad points. Firstly the reception staff (Laura) needs to learn better customer services. Never ever smiled and if you asked anything it was just no! . We arrived on the 7th August and was checked in by a gentleman and our room was right at the top of the hill right at the back. My husband asked if we could be any further near the complex. he said come back tomorrow and we will have a look. The room was great and had a separate room for the kids which was great, but my husband wanted to be closer as it was 35oc of heat and a massive hill to walk up. We asked the next day on reception and were just told no without even looking. I asked if we could book the Chinese restaurant she said no your too late its 12 o'clock. I came back the next day at 10 o'clock no your too late you have to come at 7am. I wouldn't mind if she was pleasant about it but she seem to take great pleasure in it. The hotel itself was really nice and clean and spacious. The family rooms are great and you don't have to get up at silly o'clock as there is plenty of sunbeds. There is only 1 pool that is not salt water though. The bar staff at the pools are friendly and the waiters in the restaurant. The Entertainment was a big let down. it is in a large building half way up cardiac hill and is shared with the sister hotel and is inside and when its 35oc it is far too hot to be inside. You are sat in rows like a theatre and it does feel like a relax atmosphere they could make it more round tables. It was a bit far out of Kardemena we went one night and it was really nice but trying to get a taxi home was a nightmare we ended up getting a but, which was really busy. all in all we had a ok holiday.
