Absolutely fantastic hotel, we were S Class guest and cannot fault anything, the service from the staff was first class, nothing was too much trouble, the restaurants at the hotel and at Soho square...
There really is no need to spend a penny once there, as there are several different places to eat on site included in e-class and branded drinks also. A la carte menus are very good, as is buffet restaurant. If you do choose to eat out, the discounts make it very reasonable too. Very good service and more variety and value than most all inclusive packages we have experienced.

From the minute you board the free airport shuttle to the resort to the minute the exceptional concierge team is wishing you safe travels home, you are treated like royalty with respect. The Savoy Resort team is focused on customer satisfaction and it is obvious that the resort has an outstanding team member customer service training program. Every team member we came in contact with displayed a warm smile and was very interested in receiving feedback on how to make the resort better. The resort itself was in excellent condition and the restaurants were clean and decorated very nicely. The free breakfast buffet was well stocked and had something for everyone, from made to order omelets and waffles to fruits, breads and juices. The property grounds included a beautiful beach area and 5+ pools to enjoy. The rooms were spacious and very modern. The resort is only 10 minutes from the airport and is located next to SOHO square, which has many shopping and restaurant options. For even more shopping and dining options they provide a free shuttle service twice a day to and from Naama Bay! With all the headlines about violence in the Sinai it was nice to see the Savoy went above and beyond to provide us a safe and secure resort area to rest and relax. We felt very safe the entire stay. WeI have stayed at the Hilton Fayrouz in Sharm El Sheikh on a couple different occasions and I would highly rate the Savoy as better resort over the Hilton, It seems the Hilton has not reinvested in their property and it is now rundown and the rooms are outdated for the price they are asking per night. I would be remiss if I did not mention the outstanding Savoy team members we have had the pleasure of spending our vacation with and looking forward to seeing again in the future. The housekeeping team did a wonderful job with the daily cleaning of the rooms, they are Mahumad Camal (3769), Mahmoud Camal (4818). The entire Tirana Restaurant team led by Ezz provided excellent service! A few of them really shined above the others, Hussein would squeeze fresh orange juice every morning and never let our beverage glasses run empty. The female greeter and hostess would take extreme pride in finding us the perfect table every morning and always had a warm smile to go with our delicious breakfast. The Rosmarino Italian restaurant is a must-do for dinner. A beautiful setting plus live music and delicious food can't be beat. Our waiter who actually has family in New York made our night special with is attentiveness and exceptional service. The beach is beautiful with an abundance of coral gardens just off the shore which brings beautiful sealife right along the jetty/dock. Life-guards Mamdouh and Maatez were always there to provide assistance and direction with beach and water safety all the while protecting us and the beautiful underwater coral gardens from harm. Maatez would go to great lengths to ensure we had a safe and fun-time in the water. He provided us with current water conditions and his expertise on where the best locations were to see the fish and what time of day would be best to see the different sea-life really enhanced our underwater adventure. I know I am forgetting a lot of people that made our stay amazing, but just remember, the Savoy team is the winning team when it comes to pampering their guests and treating them like royalty. The Savoy Team made the long trip from America to get to Sharm El Sheikh worth every minute with their extraordinary customer service.
Idyllic hotel/resort. Perfect for a winter escape. We went E class and found that to be more than adequate as we didn't feel the need to eat outside of the hotel. There were five Al a carte...
This was the first time we have visited Sharm el Sheikh, and we chose the Savoy because it has had so many favourable reviews. I am pleased to report that we can now personally endorse all the positive comments, we had a fantastic time! The best bits for us was the wide choice of restaurants together with the quality of food, our number 1 favourite being Seafood Island, which we visited almost every lunch time. Not only did we love the fresh hummus and grilled prawns, the level,of service was excellent from the consummate professional Saoud, the lovely 'baby face' Remon, and the efficient Hany, ahh, we will miss those guys! For our evening meals our favourites were Rosmarino (at the hotel) - eating in the piazza area is better as we found it more relaxing and atmospheric and took to Romany, who looked after us so well on our first night - Entrecote steakhouse in Soho for their excellent Filet Mignon, and Tepanyaki for the 'theatre' and sociable surroundings as well as the good food. On the Friday we thoroughly enjoyed the Gala Dinner at the Morgana restaurant in the grounds despite it being poorly attended because it was a cool night. In our opinion, guests missed a treat, not only was the food excellent, including a big juicy fillet steak, the entertainment was first class with a belly dancer and a duet of 2 Middle aged Egyptian guys whose range covered Brotherhood of Man, through to Gangster Rap and Bee Gees in between - they were amazing! We were not so keen on Caligula hot rock restaurant, it may have been worth a visit for the experience but we thought why mess about trying to cook your own steak on a hot rock when you can be served a perfectly cooked one in another restaurant? That said, we know other guests loved the hot rock, it was very atmospheric with 70's disco music and attentive staff. The breakfast buffet we felt provided everything you might want, and for a wide range of tastes with Eastern European and Middle Eastern delicacies as well as plenty for the more conservative British tastes. No bacon of course, but eggs cooked fresh in any style you wanted, and my breakfast favourite, a big pot of creamy porridge. We didn't eat in the buffet restaurant in the evening, couldn't see the point. One thing we can confirm is the dress code, smart casual including long trousers and closed shoes for gents is definitely required in the evening and you are politely reminded when you book. There is a handy booking desk outside the main restaurant each morning from 8.30 am so you can book your restaurant choice for the hotel restaurants that evening, always same day booking but you can book a day or so ahead at Soho restaurants which you do via telephone during the afternoon. You must remember that if you order any other wine than Egyptian, there will be a surcharge which was quite hefty in some cases. We found the Egyptian wine to be fine however and the waiters will advise you on which choice is closest to your regular favourite. We found our favourite drink brands in the Safari bar, which was a great place for pre dinner cocktails, post dinner night caps or just propping the bar up! The only issue here is that smoking is allowed inside the bar, which seems so unnecessary when there is a perfectly nice veranda outside. It's been a long time since we have had to suffer the foul fumes of cigarettes and big fat cigars enjoyed by the minority and spoiling the comfort of the majority - hopefully this policy might be reviewed at some point in the future. We'd decided to upgrade to a sea view room which was fine, but when we saw how nice the garden and pool areas were, we did question whether it was worthwhile doing so. It was also unfortunate that there was building work going on next door which disturbed the peace somewhat but wasn't so intrusive as to spoil our enjoyment. Whether you relax by the beach or the pool you will be well looked after with the 'beach boys' Khalid and the cheeky but lovely Mustafa. We we advised to take Aqua shoes but found its not necessary, the sand was fine enough to walk on in bare feet and you can only enter the water via the jetty because this part of the beach has its very own coral reef which you can look at from above or hire a snorkel for £4 for the day. A couple more tips, the laundry service is excellent, and although dry cleaning isn't included in your allowance, it is such good value, I had a silk dress cleaned for £4! Secondly, do not bother changing your money before you travel out, there is a cash machine in reception into which you can feed GBP and receive a better exchange rate of Egyptian pounds in return. Also Sterling and dollars are widely accepted, including coins, both as tips or in payment for goods. Finally, DO remember to tip the staff, they are so worth it, such consistent warmth and hospitality is rare, they are truly a credit to this establishment and made our holiday. It's not very often we return to the same place but we will definitely be returning here, and look forward to seeing everyone again.
