Rocky Pool Bar late afternoon snacks and early evening "liveners."

26 April 2015

If it's value for money, outstanding service, great food, guaranteed sun and some of the best marine life to be seen anywhere in the world then Savoy at Sharm is your best choice. Our upgraded room...

We have just returned from our second visit to the Savoy. I can't find the words to express how much we enjoyed our return visit. We were so impressed that members of staff who were there welcomed us back as they remembered us from our previous visit. The Savoy is absolutely amazing from the moment you step into the foyer to the moment you leave. Every member of staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and will do all that is possible to enhance your holiday stay. Our room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. We had a large balcony with outside furniture. It overlooked some gardens. All the exterior tropical style gardens are exceptionally well kept and add to the enjoyment of the beautiful surroundings. The room was quiet and we were not disturbed at all. The free wi-fi now available in the room was a real bonus. We were S-Class which allows you to eat in the hotel as well as visiting the restaurants in nearby Soho Square. Every single place we ate in was to a very high standard and a great variety of choice. As well as this, Soho Square is great for evening entertainment where bowling and ice skating are available as part of the S-Cass package as well as the bars and evening events. It is difficult to relay the special treatment given by all members of the friendly staff but we really appreciated the service given by Sam on the pool side who tirelessly runs around providing refreshments to everyone. Lifeguards Ahmed and Backly were constantly trying to keep us entertained and could not do enough to make our time more enjoyable (Backly walked around with a bottle of spray and cloth, cleaning sun glasses!) The guys in the Rocky Pool Bar were brilliant Taha, Ramy and Mohammed to name but three, all making our stay memorable. Finally the Safari Bar was invariably our nightly entertainment where our glasses were kept full by Mohammed (Great coffee and cocktails), Wilson, Mahmoud and Eid. I could go on extolling the virtues of the Savoy it is a must for an exceptional holiday. Many thanks to all the staff who provided a memorable holiday experience. I hope we will return.

Got to be S class....

26 April 2015

Friends recommended this place after we had been to the Rixos a couple of times and been very impressed. The S class gives you access to a very nice sea food resteraunt, at lunch time, on the resort...

If it's value for money, outstanding service, great food, guaranteed sun and some of the best marine life to be seen anywhere in the world then Savoy at Sharm is your best choice. Our upgraded room to sea view was a joy, a stocked mini bar included in the all-inclusive package was a pleasant surprise, the choice of bars in the hotel impressive and the restaurants were a delight. But for me it is the service that makes The Savoy customer experience special. We met Hotel Manager, the urbane Jacques Peter, at a fascinating returners cocktail party. He confirmed the hotel has a large contingent of ex-pat staff including chefs which, with all respect to Egyptian chefs, may account for the high quality in food. During the day our pool guy Moustafa was both a one-man cabaret act, a delightful host and a man who was firmly of the opinion that hotel guests really should not be allowed to to do anything themselves - he even provided a daily lens cleaning service for my reading glasses. As he said: "All part of the service Mr Tidy." The poolside drinks service was impeccable. There were regular invitations to order drinks from our friendly pool waiter who wore a flamboyant line in all white short cut trousers and shirt - immaculately turned out every day despite the roasting heat. Oh and by the way, this is our second visit and absolutely no sign of "Egypt tummy." Well done everyone at the Savoy. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

E Class...All you could need!

25 April 2015

Just got back from a lovely week at the Savoy! Worried at first that e-class wasn't going to enough for us and that we would have to upgrade to S-class which would have been expensive! But we found...

Friends recommended this place after we had been to the Rixos a couple of times and been very impressed. The S class gives you access to a very nice sea food resteraunt, at lunch time, on the resort, and definitely worth going to.. Other than that.. s class doesn't seem to offer much advantage in the resort itself... But... The Savoy owns much of SOHO square and S class gives you free access to most of the bars and resteraunts.. The steak resteraunt was excellent and we went twice, worth a visit !!!!. some very bars too.... On the resort itself, booking resteraunts was not always easy, they only seem to open certain places on certain days which causes some difficulty getting what you want at the time you want..seems daft because they have capacity but don't use it. Our room was nice but the Rixos rooms are better, however given the time you spend in it, doesn't matter much... Beach was nice but you can't go in the sea other than off the provided pier to protect the coral, went snorkelling and it was excellent. Overall .. It's a very good place and we will be returning.

Just got back from a lovely week at the Savoy! Worried at first that e-class wasn't going to enough for us and that we would have to upgrade to S-class which would have been expensive! But we found that e-class gave us everything we could need within the hotel and a very good discount everywhere in Soho square. Particularly impressed with the staff around the pool who were very helpful and Mohamed Cristiano who was out waiter one night at the seaford island and our last night in the eest restaurant. Great hotel, great service and a wonderful holiday!
