Our Take

You know a hotel is boomin' when the bar is packed with people drinking pints with loud music playing (in this case karaoke, with a drunk guy screaming out Sweet Caroline, can you get any more British?) and the kids running around the dancefloor. They even have wine on tap which we had to test out (these are the sacrifices we have to make, it's a hard life!). Now this hotel is off the tourist track in a quiet residential area, but we loved it! There's everything you need (huge buffet restaurant, pool bar, two swimming pools etc.) and plenty of family activities going on, even a splash park! The new Flying Pig Bar is the place to stick your other half in if they fancy watching the footie, or if you wanna join them there's a huge menu of top-notch pub grub!

• A quick 6-minute car ride or if you fancy stretching your legs, it's a 17-minute walk to the sandy beach

Rooms

Just so you know, rooms are separated into two blocks, Mayfair Hotel and Mayfair Gardens. Mayfair Gardens are classed as a 3* plus, but all of the facilities are shared.

The hotel displays 'busy restaurant hours, showing what times are typically 'busy', 'slightly busy' and 'not busy'. This is perfect for young families or if you fancy a more peaceful breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Food & Drink

• (Huge) Main Buffet Restaurant - whatever you're craving, you'll probably find it here. They even have themed dinners so you can sample a different cuisine every night of the week

• Pool Bar - fully equipped with ice-cold beer (a holiday must!), local wine on tap or if you're feeling a holiday cocktail, opt for the cocktail of the day

• Flying Pig Bar - serving up tasty pub grub and this place has multiple tele's on the wall so you won't be missing out on your sporty fix

Just so you know, Flying Pig Bar isn't part of All Inclusive but you do get 20% discount on drinks, and 10% discount on food.

Sports & Entertainment

• Two outdoor swimming pools with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, no need to set your alarms for 3 am to reserve one!

• Two children's pools offer plenty of space for the kids to splash about

• Jungle-themed splash park with water features and slides

• Kids' club (seasonal) runs from 10:15 - 12:15 and 14:30 - 16:30, for the older kids there's a packed games room and arcade

• Fitness center is fully equipped and air-conditioned so you stay cool during your workout

• Spa offers relaxing massages, you can even get painted with chocolate as one of the treatments

• Daily and evening entertainment is jam-packed, you can take part in yoga, 'crazy' tennis, and darts, and in the evenings, listen to live music or get stuck into some tropical dancing
