Food & Drink

• Barefoot Grill - a cool, casual beach bar where you can get a bite to eat, from tasty burgers to fresh hot dogs.

• Coco Cafe - Secrets version of Starbucks, but this one is open 24/7. That's right, you've got 24 hours to get your premium coffee, snacks, ice cream, sandwiches, pastries and soft drinks.

• Seaside Grill - an a'la carte grill restaurant perched right on the beach (hence the name), tuck into delicious dishes whilst watching the sunset. Worth a pic for the gram.

• Castaways - second a'la carte grill, because quite frankly you can never have too many grilled seafood dishes and meat dishes, with delish sides.

• Bordeaux - get a taste of France on the other side of the world. Bordeaux offers a'la carte (which means extra fancy) French cuisine with classic French vino too. It's a oui from us.

• Dona Altagracia - you can't be flying all the way here and not sampling the local cuisine?! Dona Altagracia showcases the best of the Dominican Republic on a plate.

• Portofino - a gourmet Italian restaurant that'll make you question whether you're actually in Portofino. The most important question though... pizza or pasta?

• Meraki - staying in the Med, this restaurant offers dishes from the likes of Greece, Spain and Italy. *Spoiler later: it's all delicious*.

• Rosewater - exclusive for Preferred Club guests, they'll have a wide selection of a'la carte dishes to sample for dinner.

• Market Cafe - we all love a classic buffet restaurant on holiday, and this one offers a mahoosive selection of international and local dishes hailing from the Dom Rep for brekkie, lunch and dinner. They even offer a continental brekkie for early risers.

• Six Bars - located at all the important parts of the resort i.e. the pool, beach, lobby and entertainment area - so you won't have to travel far to get a classic cocktail, beer, wine or soft drink.

• Sip, Savor and See Dining Experience - this resort is all about the Unlimited-luxury life, so you can pick any of the restaurants above for dinner, or dine at Dreams Playa Esmeralda to sample the restaurants it has (reservations are required by 3 pm on the day, cost of transport is an additional charge).

• Three Swimming Pools - that cover all moods, are you wanting a serious chill sesh? The Relax Pool is the one. Itching to post that I've had worse Mondays on Instagram? The Infinity Pool has uh-mazing views. There's also an exclusive Preferred Club pool.

  • Or, sit amongst the bubbles in one of the two outdoor hot tubs which bring the spa vibes to the outdoor area.

• Secret Spa - it's no secret that this world-class spa needs to be visited during your stay. With a swanky hydrotherapy area equipped with a steam room, sauna, therapeutic showers, a whirlpool and foot baths. For the ultimate pamper sesh, book one of the luxury body or beauty treatments.

• Fitness - state-of-the-art and well-equipped with cardio and weights equipment. Most importantly, it's got the air-con blasting!

• Outdoor Activities - boredom? Pfftt, not around here. Fill your days with beach volleyball, aerobics, dance classes, Spanish classes, tennis and trampolining.
