A very large hotel. Cleanliness in suites is not what it should be. We had ants in the rooms and on reporting them to the reception, something was sprayed in the bathroom but not in the sitting area. I timed the cleaning of the suit - 12 minutes. Not enough to go through the whole suite. No complimentary mineral water and the ones in the mini bar are over priced at 3.50 Euros (there is a supermarket on the promenade where it can be bought for 0.50 cents). We paid 30 Euros for late checkout as our flight was late in the evening. However, we were locked out after 12 noon and found this out when we went to the suite for a siesta after lunch. Not acceptable at all. Had to share our breakfast with birds - literally. They were eating from the cold meats and bread on the buffet tables. Some staff I would like to mention who had excellent people skills - Carlos in the restaurants, Ahmed round the swimming area, Ioanna in the reception and Carla, Pubic relations. On the plus side, the hotel is very well situated for outside restaurants and shops.

We previously stayed at the Princesa Yaiza last November and have recently returned home from yet another fantastic holiday. This time we had booked a sea-view suite and were allocated a suite with a lovely view of the marina and the bay. We were not disappointed. While on holiday we celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday with a superb meal at the Isla de Lobos restaurant - the meal and service were excellent. Well worth a visit. The hotel is very spacious, clean and comfortable with a choice of dining options and entertainment in the evening. A big thank you to everyone for making our stay a memorable occasion and we are already thinking about a return visit in the not too distant future.

Beautiful hotel. We are very demanding, and hotel met all our needs! Located next to sandy Playa Dorada and beachwalk, between Playa Blanca main attractions (pubs/restaurants) and Marina. Playa Blanca still remains a quiet and beautiful small village with no loud music/discos and it is perfect to Princesa Yaiza fully matches its 5*L classification. Very clean rooms and hotel areas, perfect breakfasts and dinners. Variety of foods, we do not doubt why Princesa Yaiza was claimed the best food hotel in the Canary Islands! Gourmet meals match high-class restaurants - it was this good, we even did not want to try one of it's additionally paid a'la carte restaurants. Very good service. Staff is very friendly and polite, they care about every your need, top-notch service. Room was very spacious, decorated with wooden, colonial-style furniture. The hotel looks even better in real life that on the photos! Everything is clean and seems that service is taking care to keep it that way. Beach - the best in Playa Blanca, it was not this crowded, with bright sand and azure water. If you prefer pools, there are 2 (with fresh and salt water), jacuzzi and a separated pool for kids. Very good entertainment. 4 different amusements every night (live music in open bar next to the beachwalk, live music in 4Lunas bar, piano playing in inside bar and live animation in the main hall). We will come back for sure. We do not regret any penny spent on the holidays in Princesa Yaiza.
Cheap Playa Blanca holidays are more or less a fixture for tourists the whole year round, thanks in no small part to the consistently warm Lanzarote temperatures - consistently hot, that is! Hot it may be, averaging around 18° Celsius in December and 26° Celsius by the summer, but sultry breezes, courtesy of the trade winds, mean you’re never flustered. Having said that, ensure you have your sun cream on at all times to protect you from the sun's rays.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
