We have visited this place once before and were excited to go back for our honeymoon with the kids (5 and 2). It was as wonderful as last time. This time we stayed in the Family block and rarely left there during the day as the pools there are quieter and better suited to our two boys. The hotel is always on hand to help. We had quite a few questions and also a few problems (the air con broke in our room) and whilst it did take a bit of time to fix, it was not from lack of trying. The hotel was also very accommodating in ensuring we were suitably compensated for the lack of air con. So fair play to them. The boys both love the place and Kiko was a big hit. As was the amazing breakfast for us!

Holidaying one week with 13 year boy. We all agree with so much of the good things said by earlier reviewers so will try not to waste reading time by repeating them. The very high guest content of English and Irish made socialising so easy. Also amazing the number of repeat visitors. Food and service excellent and when considering what can be changed so very nearly without any fault. Junior suite with coffee making plenty of room and sofa bed for boy more than adequate. Hotel 5 floors, strongly south facing with high palm trees so location important e.g if west facing no evening sun. We were on 5th floor A block facing east so evening balcony drinks heavenly. Sound proofing of rooms excellent. Location good with short transfer and reasonable ambles either side. If B&B then non hotel dinner restaurants easy walking distance. Though we would recommend Don Giovannis excellent quality, service and value. If men's trousers for dinner forgotten you can eat at Don Giovannis. Our boy loved the football sessions and I watched a few ad they are good. Below the hotel is a beach cafe with great view over the public beach. Good for easy lunch with ice cold proper size large beers. Surprising number of hotel guests used the beach. Maybe because you had to be up early to get a pool side sunbed. The not so goods. As per usual the drink prices link to the number of stars and they are painful. Especially room mini bar. Two of the three half board buffet restaurants are to us (claustrophobicly) inside and on a holiday like this we like to eat out side. The Hacienda is the third and the perimeter tables have no wall so kind of outside. There was almost always a queue for the Hacinda for the excellent breakfast. I nearly forgot the freshly squeezed orange juice in all the restaurants is delicious. Room was prepared for 2 and given boy was full price this niggled. Sorted cups and glasses but never got the requested chair for the balcony. Has he had to sit on a table. Room safe never worked even after a fix and sink plugs were difficult to seal. Don't let my not so goods put you off. The cleanliness, ambiance, presentation and food is fantastic.

This was our 3rd visit to Princesa Yaiza and we have been more impressed each time. Staff have been very friendly and helpful yet totally professional. Andrea at the Aqua gym was an absolute star. Rooms are very spacious and very well equipped. We had an excellent meal at Don Giovanni restaurant. The design and layout of the hotel has been superb and more apparent as we have explored different areas. No hotel corridors here - beautiful walkways and breakout areas instead. Pool areas are excellent - of course they will be crowded in peak season but there was always plenty of room to swim and play. Whenever we want a holiday purely for relaxing I suspect this will remain our first choice. Terry Gibson
