We were in Sandos Papagayo at the end of January. We thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. It was my first time to go all inclusive and I would definately recommend it. Food was lovely and plentiful and lots of choices. Snacks available all the time. Drinks were included, and we had a Bailieys Irish Cream each night. The food was like being on a cruise. The weather was not as sunny as we had hoped, but as least we had no rain, or snow as we would have had if we were at home. There was a shuttle bus into the town. We went on bus trip to Fire Mountain which was very enjoyable. Travel agent in hotel charges 40 euro, but we booked it in travel shop in Playa Blanca for 20 euro and were picked up at Hotel. You can get a taxi into town for 4 to 5 euro. Only two complaints I would have, the Theatre was very drafty and cold and shows were not great. and the plates in restaurant were cold, and tea was not hot enough. But I would love to go back again when weather is warm.

We were relocated here due to a problem with our booked resort. We were not disappointed with this upgrade. It had lots to do for the children with good entertainment. All inclusive food and drink were available to suit all tastes. Accommodation was good with a room overlooking the pool area. Only negative was the incessant wind blowing. Made worse I am sure by the hotel sitting at the top of a hill. Nevertheless a very enjoyable time. Reception staff very helpful. Changed our transfer details for us. All in all excellent

I was a bit daunted by other reports that said the hotel was so big, but, even for someone with bad sense of direction it was really no problem. Reception on 0, restaurants at -2 and games area and disco (great for kids) on -3! We've stayed at all inclusive resorts before but this was top notch for fantastic food at all hours which was brilliant when you have boys to feed all day! The restaurant was a bit manic at times..but mainly down to rude guests not having consideration for others looking to fill their plates also.... The buffet was filled constantly.. There was no need to grab people!! The staff in the bars and restaurants were lovely and the entertainment team were great fun...even when pushed into the pool by one of our gang! Reception staff could be a little more upbeat but they were constantly under query from the hundreds of guests so no doubt they were weary sometimes! The rooms are big and set in large buildings around the resort. They are rather 'rustic' but we're comfortable and clean. This was our third time in Playa Blanca but first time to get to the Papagayo beach which is AMAZING! It's just over the hill at the back of this resort which we loved. Last, the weather was rubbish, one day of sun with wind, cold and even rain one day but it didn't dampen our spirits. Sandos Papagayo made up for it. We had a fantastic time.. Well recommended!

We booked a junior suite as there were 2 adults and 3 kids in our party! The Royal elite benefits were great and definately made the holiday for us. I loved the breakfast in the smaller dining area and the use of the lounge .. There was another one solely for adults so I didn't worry too much about the kids disturbing adults relaxing!!! The only downside was the fact that all the restaurants were buffets, even the ones you had to book ...there was one sit down restaurant, the French one, but there was a charge for that so we didn't visit it.
Cheap Playa Blanca holidays are more or less a fixture for tourists the whole year round, thanks in no small part to the consistently warm Lanzarote temperatures - consistently hot, that is! Hot it may be, averaging around 18° Celsius in December and 26° Celsius by the summer, but sultry breezes, courtesy of the trade winds, mean you’re never flustered. Having said that, ensure you have your sun cream on at all times to protect you from the sun's rays.
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
