This was our second stay in these apartments, and we are sorry to say they let us down, the first time was fantastic, although they needed a little TLC they were fine. This time bungalow 3 was pretty grim, they are still spotlessly clean and have almost everything you need for a short stay, but the lack of maintenance is quite obvious. The rooms smelt of damp and there is mold on the walls so that the plaster along the bottom of the wall is coming away. Some apartments no longer have blinds just curtains so for privacy you have to keep the curtains closed all the time. The smell lingers on the bed covers and is really unpleasant. The window frames are rotting away, in fact the apartment next door was so bad the window frame had fallen off and was sitting on the patio area. As I said, they are kept very clean and the pool area is lovely, but the lack of investment is starting to show. It is such a pity, as they are in a fantastic setting, if you want peace and quiet but still be within walking distance of shops and restaurants this is the place to be. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, we requested a late check out and this was dealt with very satisfactory. Unfortunately, unless money is spent on the apartments to bring them up to good standard, then we probably wont go back.

The location is good, at Pocillos on the edge of Puerto Del Carmen. There is a large Spar less than 5 minutes walk away, and also a couple of restaurants beside the Spar. The bungalows are on a quiet side street. The rooms are nice, and the kitchen comes with a microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. The TV had only 1 English Channel, Discovery max. However, when other channels were showing American TV shows, it's nearly always possible to change the audio from Spanish to the original English audio using the remote control. The beach is a 5 minute walk away down a small hill. The main Puerto Del Carmen tourist strip is just over a km away, and the smaller Matagorda strip less than a km in the other direction. There are frequent cheap buses in both directions. I booked a one bedroom bungalow for 3, and was delighted to get a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom bungalow for free, which bumped up my rating to 5.

Set up a little hill between Matagorda and Puerto del Carmen are these 19 lovely bungalows. It's very safe and secure as once reception closes at 1pm you have to use your own key to exit and re-enter the complex. Bungalows are a good size, well equipped and very clean! Not one insect entered the bungalow in our time there...a first ever!! Pool area was quiet, clean, water was freezing in both pools but think the constant breeze in Lanzarote keeps it on the cool side. From the bungalows it's about a 15 min stroll to the left to reach shops, restaurants and bars in Matagorda and about 30 mins to the right to reach them in the busier Puerto del Carmen. There's a Spar across the road and down a few steps for all your shopping. Had a great holiday and would like to return some time in the future :)

18-25 May 2014 5 of us enjoyed a week at Bandama in a two bedroom and a one bedroom bungalow, with both meeting all our needs, They kindly gave us bungalows next door to each other so listened to our request which was nice . Both bungalows had all the required facilities, and the complex has a nice pool . The complex is ideally situated for the local restaurants and about a 20 minute walk along to Puerto . The bus is 1 euro 35 along to Biosfera shopping complex, which has lot nice shops .. I will definitely return , had great time, and would recommend them for a quiet break.
Lanzarote basks in year-round sunshine and warm temperatures. This Canary Island averages temperatures around 18° Celsius in winter and often rises above 26° Celsius during August's peak season. Soothing Atlantic breezes keep you from getting too hot on holidays in Puerto del Carmen, but don't be deceived; the rays are harmful, so get out the sunscreen and rather than going pink, get tanned!
As UK, Courses or boosters sometimes advised: hepatitis A (not normally for package tourists).
